10/04/2025: A modern and very cozy trattoria on the tourist street of the historic center of Montepulciano. We tried the Tuscan crostino, Tuscan pico ragú and the cream fettuccelle, closing with a magnificent tiramisu. Everything was very well prepared and presented. Fair prices, fast and very friendly service. I recommend it 100%
01/04/2025: One of the best meals we had in Tuscany. The food was delicious, homemade, and full of flavor—exactly what you hope for in a traditional trattoria. The service was warm and friendly, and the whole vibe of the place just made us feel right at home. Can’t wait to come back someday.

30/05/2025: An exceptional place. We ordered pizza, pasta, and truffled meat, all recommended by one of the waiters, and it was a total success. Everything was delicious, and we were treated very well. The guy was very attentive. You can tell he loves what he does, as he communicates it in a way that's engaging.

10/06/2025: Fantastic pizza, a few minutes away from the main tourist spots. Popular at lunchtime, but the short wait was worth it. If you like Diavola Pizza, then try pizza gorganzola with salamino picannte.

Le personnel est composé de pros qui feront tout pour que vous passiez un moment formidable. Et Carlo vous guidera dans le choix des vins.
05/04/2025: Dalla prima timida cena di alcuni mesi fa ormai consideriamo questo bistrot un nostro luogo del cuore. Anche stasera ci siamo sentiti a casa, coccolati dalla simpatia e competenza di Carlo e dalle delizie create da Mara. Ho assaggiato una peccaminosa capasanta alla maiala con golosi canditi di pancetta e crema di barbabietole rosse. A seguire una carezzevole grigliata di pesce con verdure e un eclatante e sapido tombarello. Ammiccante la panna cotta con fragole e peperoncino, golosissima. Conto generoso.

30/05/2025: A lovely and charming seafood restaurant run by a family that’s been doing this for a couple decades! The owner who is the head chef is truly wonderful like the rest of the staff and we loved everything we had for our dinner. Every course was mesmerizing and I truly think this restaurant has the best seafood on the island. I can totally recommend the soup that everyone has mentioned in the comments but everything else is also equally delicious. We had amazing shrimp, mussels and clams, bruschettas with anchovies and mozzarella, seafood soup, shrimp risotto and fish with potato crust. The latter was the highlight of the dinner. The staff was also super friendly and sweet which made the whole experience wonderful. I look forward to coming back when I return to Elba island.
25/05/2025: It was recommended to us for the fish soup, the best on the island! We had a soup for 2 and two fillets of sea bream with potatoes. Abundant and delicious dishes!! Really super soup! We will return, thank you!

01/06/2025: By bike from Volterra to Montevarchi we stop in Castellina and looking for a restaurant and here we are at Fondaccio. We have the bikes and Mauro, the owner, has them stored inside with the possibility of recharging. For lunch, since we are from Trentino, we eat pici all'aglione and with cacio e pepe. A good beer and coffee with cantucci. A treat, since we were halfway. Thanks Mauro and thanks to all your kind and professional staff.
28/05/2025: I had a very good pizza Chinatigiana – great crust and excellent toppings. Attentive service, but not intrusive. A nice place that's not just for tourists.

29/05/2025: Very nice little secret in Florence. They have a garden patio inside a portion covered the other open air. We had the T bone steak Fiorentine with grill vegetables. This is not any common grill is grilled wood and the vegetable are a generous portion. The dish can easily feed 5 people generously. We were 4 and had leftovers. We also had the pasta with duck ragu and a spinach dumpling with ricotta that was so so delicious. Can’t say enough of this hidden gem away from tourist traps. We ordered a nice bottle of wine and had espresso and dessert. We feel that in the US the steak alone . Would have cost so much more because of the quality and that had been aged. We even got to talk to the chef.

After a tour of the city, very beautiful and intimate, and the nature reserve I stopped for a plate of spaghetti with clams and bottarga: very good, a glass of good wine, very cheap prices and friendly staff. 13/05/2025: Ambiente molto carino e curato adiacente alla piazza principale di Capoliveri.Accoglienza e servizio buonissimi .La titolare,molto gentile e disponibile ci ha spiegato in maniera esaustiva i piatti che ci interessavano, avendo il garbo di indicarci la presenza di glutine in certe portate, facendo anche una piccola variazione visto che la mia compagna è celiaca. Piatti molto interessanti,elaborati senza artifizi,curati con accostamenti appropriati e sapori molto ben bilanciati. Entrèe davvero stuzzicante ..una portata mignon di una rielaborazione di "spaghetto aglio olio e peperoncino "fatta e presentata in maniera accattivante. Abbiamo mangiato e condiviso un risotto allo zafferano con tartare di manzo e il suo fondo. Un uovo a 63* impanato in panko di riso e fritto ,con spuma di parmigiano e gel di cetriolo.entrambi molto delicati.Poi uno strepitoso calamaro e carciofo alla brace di un gusto sublime.Molto interessante anche la rivisitazione della parmigiana di melanzane:semplice ,saporita e leggera . Il tutto accompagnato da un Pinot nero ,consigliato sapientemente da Claudia,che ben si adattava sia ai piatti vegetariani,sia a quelli di carne e di pesce.Perfetto!Per finire ,pur non amando particolarmente il dessert,abbiamo voluto provare la bavarese con pistacchio e amarene e un magnum artigianale di nocciola e copertura di cioccolato fondente con una chantilly di frutto passione.Tutte le preparazioni denotano una ottima tecnica di cucina e sicuramente tanto impegno .Bravi davvero.complimenti allo chef e alla proprietaria molto disponibile e alla mano. Prezzi in linea con la tipologia di ristorante gourmet. Per me il miglior ristorante di Capoliveri.Consigliatissimo.
11/05/2025: Un accueil des plus sympathiques et un service souriant tout au long du repas. Un vrai bonheur. Une cuisine recherchée, savoureuse, qui s'écarte des plats traditionnels touristiques. Des cuissons maîtrisées. On est vraiment dans la gastronomie! Un petit regret: la taille des portions un peu réduite. On aurait presque faim après le dessert.
