Excellent experience, courteous and welcoming staff. The dishes were carefully prepared, from the pizza to the fish dishes to the desserts. The quality of the ingredients was excellent, the fish was very fresh. They were very attentive to their customers. We went out to dinner five nights, three of which we enjoyed here.

We had dinner at this lovely restaurant: delicious food, impeccable service, a beautiful location, and very attentive staff. Everything was paired with excellent wine, and we finished with an excellent dessert. "The only downside was the bill, which was definitely a bit pricey, although you pay for quality."

We ate there on our last evening on Elba and were so annoyed we hadn't come sooner! Absolutely recommended! We received a very warm welcome and were treated with great attention and friendliness throughout our entire stay! The food (we had a starter, main course, dessert, and drinks) was excellent, and the price was fair considering the quality and taste. It's a shame the road runs right past it, but the view of the greenery on the other side is quite idyllic. We would definitely eat there again if we're ever in the area again! Many thanks to La Carretta 🫶🏻

An absolute highlight! We had a fantastic evening here. The entire team is incredibly welcoming, and we felt completely at ease from the very first moment. As for the food: Simply outstanding! Every single dish tasted absolutely delicious and was beautifully presented with great attention to detail. The house wine recommendation – a local Ansonica La Chiusa – perfectly complemented the meal and rounded off the evening beautifully. This restaurant deserves a much higher overall rating for what it offers. Highly recommended! We will definitely be back.

The 4.2 rating is absolutely unfair! The service is very friendly, professional, and personal! The food, drinks, and hospitality were superb! The ambiance doesn't look particularly appealing on Google Maps, being so close to the road, but that's completely negligible since you hardly notice the road at all! We'll be back!!!

05/05/2026: We came here for the first time a year ago, discovering this place by chance. We returned last weekend and had two schiacciatine and some chickpea cake. The cake was delicious, as were the schiacciatine. I'll definitely be back.
04/05/2026: I'm in Cecina for the first time. While walking through the center, a scent captures me and drags my wife along. Where am I? In a small, clean place where there's a Master who lets me taste a simple but spectacular meal. So much so that he served it with warm homemade bread. Spectacular. It's impossible for me not to pass by. CECINA IS THIS PLACE. Congratulations to Master Lapo, I will carry you in my heart.

10/06/2026: The service was far too rushed; we barely had time to sit down and start reading the menu before a waitress came to ask if we'd already decided, while I still had the menu in my hand and was reading it aloud. The menu was handwritten in rather questionable handwriting and without prices. The lack of prices was significant when it came to the bill. €36 was way too much for two main courses and two side dishes, a water, and a coffee, served next to a fairly busy road, and apparently near a school, given (and more importantly, hearing) the crowd of kids walking around shouting and the speakers blaring. The food was good, the portions were fairly generous, but it didn't justify the €36 bill.
31/05/2026: A gem known only to locals, which makes it unique: delicious and plentiful food, friendly service, and affordable prices! It feels like family :) Highly recommended.
