18/04/2025: We found the restaurant's address on the internet, but it doesn't specify the long road to walk to get there; in fact, the owner on the phone says it's 800 m from Porta San Marco, but Google Maps says 1.1 km and the route is tiring with climbs and a dirt road and dark in the evening. As soon as we arrived, the owner forbids us to dine inside the restaurant, indicating a dehor covered by a plastic sheet and showing impatience with our polite complaints. After dinner, we ask for a taxi and only get the number of the radio taxi, saying that he doesn't have time to call. While I'm calling and giving the address, fortunately an employee intervenes to clarify that the address indicated on the restaurant's business card is not the one reachable by taxi, but quite the opposite, because by car the restaurant can be reached from the opposite side of the pedestrian entrance indicated on the card. For the owner, we would still be there waiting in vain for the taxi! Absolutely negative experience.

23/03/2025: Beautiful, refined and refined place, we had dinner with a couple of friends and our children. We ate both sushi and cooked seafood dishes. Seafood linguine presented very well and delicious, prawn tempura crunchy and dry. Exclusive sushi that you can't find anywhere else. All very good indeed. To be recommended. The expense, although a little high, certainly reflects the quality of the food and the place. We will definitely return.

But let's get to the point... today my partner and I set off on purpose for a real culinary binge of fish and rice and vegetables... in a few words a magical paella... what can I say, first it kidnapped us and bewitched our eyes then it made us dream with the taste... we can only thank the chef and all his magnificent staff for this culinary journey that from Valencia, made us touch Madrid with a finger, fly on the Rambla in Barcelona, ​​to finally bring us back to Volterra truly satisfied and contented... thank you from the bottom of my heart... 01/04/2025: Splendid place in the historic centre, on several floors, I recommend the ground floor because it is close to services (if you don't want to go up and down the stairs...), waiters with the typical Tuscan friendliness. Let's get to the food; Maybe it's because we were a group of 30 people BUT, strict diet portions and pappardelle with hare ragout passed off as wild boar ragout (after several requests the waiter confessed), good sliced ​​beef with rosemary but only 3 small pieces each, good baked potatoes and divine Tuscan white beans, sweet tiramisu finished with a spoonful. I left hungry.... No chance of an encore or another tasting. If you are on a diet it is perfect otherwise I recommend choosing other places.

I locale fortunatamente è a un paio di km, i semafori erano verdi, mi sono bagnato pochissimo, avendo solida giacca attrezzata. Locale semplice e carino, tavoli tovagliati con tovaglioli di cotone, come sempre, accoflienza amicale. la mia lombatina sempre tenera e ben cotta, il petto di pollo di mio figlio ben grigliato e saporito. Solito vinello trentino frizzante e gradevole, come la serata. Caffè e grappino. Spesa equa. Fine serata con amichevole aneddotica chiacchierata.

11/04/2025: The property is located in Petroio, an ancient medieval village. We stayed there for 2 nights. The rooms are well decorated and the bed is comfortable. The hotel serves the following breakfast: 1 yogurt, seasonal fruit, granola, a hot drink, a juice, water and a croissant (can be sweet or savory) and an egg to share between 2 people. The service is polite, but not as warm as at the other properties we stayed at in Tuscany during our trip. It is also important to note that there are no restaurants on site during the beginning of April, only in the neighboring towns.

07/04/2025: We stayed with the whole family in this beautiful palace located in a small village. We had a really good time, large and clean rooms, very kind staff. Very rich breakfast. What can I say, we'll be back.

Osteria Ferraja is a guarantee of delicious dishes, from cod to leeks and stewed baby octopus, continuing with stockfish and landing on tuna done in a superlative way. 20/03/2025: In 1990 we spent a week visiting Valliano. My brother and I ate four portions of Pischi Noodles every lunchtime. These noodles are still an important part of our lives today. The owner said we should please let us know as they would then prepare more Pichi Thanks for the Pischi😃😋

15/03/2025: Excellent service and quality food. My wife and I were looking for a lunch spot and ended up here. The service was absolutely wonderful. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was also outstanding. The olive oil they put on the brushetta tasted like liquid gold. Everything we got here was wonderful. If I had to nit-pick my least favorite parts was the house wine, which tasted metallic like it wasn't fully clarified when bottled, and the atmosphere wasn't my favorite. That said, I would still recommend this to anyone in the area.

08/02/2025: Locale alla prima periferia di Grosseto, subito fuori le mura. Si rimane colpiti entrando da come il locale sia curato ed equilibrato. Bello e piacevole. Il servizio forse è la cosa più anonima del locale. Corretto, ma un po’ freddo e silenzioso. Ci si aspetta di più da un locale in Toscana… Mettiamola così! Cibo davvero buono per ingredienti ed assemblaggio. Cari gli antipasti nel rapporto, qualità/quantità. Meglio i primi. Non li ho presi ma credo ancora meglio i secondi. Ottimi i dolci e decisamente economici rispetto ai prezzi attuali. A ripensarci sarebbe stato da evitare l’antipasto e prendere il secondo. Tutto molto buono e gradito sia da noi che dai bimbi. Conto degno di un ristorante di medio livello.
