This is a charming, traditional osteria serving local specialities. The food was fresh and very good, especially the pasta e fagioli soup which was our highlight. The quality of the steak was clearly outstanding but it was a little bit too rare for our tastes (and we don’t like our steak well done) - it was so raw that it was hard to cut and chew. The baked vegetables were a bit of an afterthought and the pork on the meat skewer was extremely tough. The prices are extremely high and while the quality of the produce is too, I think it was just too much money for what we experienced. The atmosphere is extremely charming however and it’s absolutely worth a visit if you’re nearby.

The mixed antipasto was average. The sautéed vegetables were mediocre (good, but few and sad), and the tagliata was good enough for two to share (no provenance or description provided). Prices were above average for the same products.

They didn't earn their Michelin stars for nothing. A magnificent treasure right next to Lucca. Lomberto, the new generation representative of the family that owns, manages the restaurant like a conductor, doing everything he can to satisfy his customers. I think the secret to the deliciousness of the food can be explained by blending a long-standing tradition with their own locally produced ingredients. Wonderful meats, amazing pasta interpretations, desserts, and those legendary wines. A fantastic restaurant that you'll want to divert to visit…

05/05/2026: We ate at this small but cute restaurant-pizzeria. There wasn't much room between the tables, so I had to step away from the stroller. Overall, the evening was a great one. The lady who served us was very kind. The pizza was too thin for my personal taste, but the toppings were excellent. Dessert was delicious, different from the usual.
14/04/2026: We went there for lunch today. They are absolutely lovely and hospitable there. We shared a pizza and the pappardelle bianco di chianina con pecorino (at least that’s how I remember it. It was fantastic, great prices, and a really nice staff. We should have eaten inside, it was quite loud with traffic but we had bikes so we needed to watch them. I would definitely eat there again.
