17/05/2026: A fabulous little restaurant that we came to at the recommendation of our Airbnb host. We had to book in advance and pay a deposit. It was well worth it. First the ambiance and service were wonderful. The fried mozzarella was a really fun dish (think very very refined Italian version of mozzarella sticks!) We had 2 of the pastas with seafood and I didn’t want the experience to end because of how tasty and well balanced the flavors and textures were. To top it all off the baked ricotta and berries desert was one of the best deserts I’ve had. I think it was seasonal. We left wishing we had time come back here again. Highly recommend.

16/05/2026: 5 stars for its category: a neighborhood restaurant with a short menu and fresh ingredients. Well-prepared dishes. Everything is flavorful. The meats are excellent, including the Chianina, this exceptional Italian breed of beef. Reasonable prices. I'll be back.

18/05/2026: Food was ok. But service was too slow. They forgot our orders in 2 different occasions.

17/05/2026: Views were nice. Service was slow, there were only three other tables there when we arrived, and we waited 30 minutes for a drink and were there almost an hour before our food arrived. We had to remind the waiter for water and asked twice for the bill. We speak Italian, so felt the language barrier shouldn’t have been the issue. Our food wasn’t the best we’ve had in Tuscany and it was definitely not busy enough for some of the hiccups we experienced. Comparatively overpriced for other venues in Siena.

15/05/2026: For lunch with friends, we all came here to eat together, finding several typical local dishes on the menu. We ordered a seafood appetizer, which I honestly thought would come with both raw and cooked ingredients, and not just small plates of cooked food. I was wrong not to ask what it included, but I usually mean everything. €27, good but a bit disappointing for the portion and also for expectations. A Trabaccolara was €24, very good, a tordello with ragù, €16, and a mixed fried calamari and shrimp, €26, again a bit small for the price. Dessert was €9, and water was €4 per bottle. (Cottage charge also €4 per person). A refined place that is still noteworthy for its quality. It's a bit pricey compared to other places, but I wanted to try it, and in the end, apart from the seafood appetizer, the rest is satisfactory. Very fast and friendly service, the place is also very nice inside so I recommend it anyway

03/05/2026: I can say we had a good time, not just a good one. The owner was professional and kind. We had excellent crostoni and sausage. Various first courses were excellent, the pasta was homemade. For our second course, we had fried chicken with zucchini flowers. It was truly excellent, crispy and well-fried. My husband had a sliced ​​steak. That was also excellent. And to finish, three desserts: the bonet and the deconstructed cannoli, truly sublime. House wine and water were also included. What more can I say? Keep up the good work. Thank you ❤️

09/05/2026: A pleasant surprise. Delicious dishes, attentive service, and honest prices. It's well worth it; we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We ordered house wine, picci (a type of small, sweet potato fritter), risotto, cinta senesi (a type of beef cut), tiramisu, and chocolate pistachio cake. Everything was excellent.

04/05/2026: The staff is always available and very courteous. The dishes are plentiful and of excellent quality. Compliments for the pici all'aglione and the wild boar. The prices are in line with the quality of the food. Another thing not to be missed is the chestnut jam.

03/05/2026: I had lunch at Barilotto with my family and I must say it was a pleasant discovery. The food was excellent, authentic, and plentiful. The staff was courteous and helpful. The house red wine was very good, and the prices were average. I recommend booking well in advance as the place isn't very large and is always very busy. If I ever return to Santa Fiora, I will definitely have lunch here again. A special shout out to Mario, a nice, kind, and helpful guy.

22/05/2026: I had the tagliatelle with ragù and the eggplant parmigiana. I have to say everything was delicious... the service was friendly and fast... the atmosphere was quaint... and it was an experience worth repeating... I absolutely recommend it.

09/05/2026: Wonderful family operated pizzeria. Excellent food...mom is in the kitchen, Dad is helping, and the son is serving. The pizzas are delicious and plentiful. We went back again given the warm service and excellent food. Right at the entrance to old town Montipulciano. Highly recommend.

07/05/2026: I had the gnocchi and it was absolutely perfect. My husband started with the beet risotto and it was not our favorite- oddly sweet like a dessert. His second course, the chicken, was SO GOOD. The best chicken I have ever had. The orange sauce that it came with was to die for. Service was top notch- kind and attentive. Lovely atmosphere. So lucky they were able yo squeeze us in after the rain.
