The seafood here is unbelievably fresh, and the chef works pure magic—every hot dish is cooked to perfection with simple, honest seasoning: just a touch of salt, pepper, and high‑quality olive oil. It lets the natural flavors of the seafood shine beautifully. I also took their wine recommendation, and it paired wonderfully with the meal. This is a restaurant filled with warmth, authenticity, and exceptional food. If you’re anywhere near the area, it’s an absolute must‑visit.

30/05/2026: This restaurant deserves its own post. This agriturismo is located in a spectacular setting in the Chiavenna area. It offers the best dishes in the Valtellina region and impeccable service. The menu is in the last photo. Everything you see in the pictures, including water, wine, bread, and dessert, cost us around 80 euros. There were three of us, but four could easily have shared the meal. However, all the other dishes were excellent!! Highly recommended! Also, the staff here were all super nice, incredibly attentive, and had exceptionally good service attitudes. They were very attentive, making for a fantastic experience. 26/05/2026: So, one of the few trattorias left in the neighborhood. I ate there two nights in a row with a colleague, and we tried everything from fish starters to meat and side dishes. Everything was very good. The price was reasonable considering we're in Milan.

30/03/2026: Even though the entrance is unassuming and the prices aren't for the budget-conscious, our expectations for lunch were more than met. The Osteria's website gives a good indication of what to expect. Even as a (bicycle) tourist, you're greeted warmly upon arrival and shown to your table. In addition to the clear yet varied menu, available in three languages, there are also unobtrusive recommendations from the kitchen. Each of the delicious and beautifully presented dishes is explained in detail as it's served. The wait between courses is reasonable, given the fresh preparation. If you don't want to eat quickly in the tourist bustle on the lakefront, but rather enjoy a leisurely and delicious meal, you'll be exceptionally well served at Osteria Di Mezzo. We'll gladly return when we're in the area again.

19/05/2026: Chanced upon this spot, easily one of my best meals in Europe, had an assortment of meatballs, they tasted quite unique and super tasty! Focaccia was really fresh even though we were eating at night. Definitely a meal we'd remember!

29/04/2026: Welcoming and intimate location. From the reviews, we expected a high-quality offering, both in terms of cuisine and service, but unfortunately, these expectations were not fully met. The prices are quite high for the quality of the ingredients, which we found to be average. The service also negatively impacted the experience, with excessively long wait times that detracted from the pace of the dinner and also from our appetite. On a positive note: the cover charge was waived, which was appreciated. Overall, we won't be returning.
