20/06/2025: I am writing while eating, we are on the second course and I can say that the food is delicious. The photos do not do it justice because we had already bitten into the dishes. A word to the wise is enough. Sublime cod, excellent octopus and wine recommended by smilzo, so much stuff. That said, here we are, they are exquisite and the environment is simple but generous. Enjoy your dinner. GL

13/05/2025: Excellent pizza, truly special, I recommend trying it, prices slightly higher than normal, justified by excellent ingredients.

11/05/2025: Raw materials and ingredients are highly sought after. Except that the price still seems high to me: the margherita costs €30 (large, 8 segments), the other pizzas more. I took the one with culatello and tried the one with scallops, both very good. The dessert was good but not great. Good wine (€30 per bottle, the cheapest). In the end €50 each, a great deal for a pizza (small, 4 wedges), a glass of wine and a tiramisu (mediocre) with coffee (I forgot the cup of radicchio and cheese offered as a starter). For the rest, everything OK: excellent and fast service, nice and comfortable room, large car park 50m away

10/06/2025: My wife and I had 2 pizzas a couple of beers and couple of glasses of wine. Excellent food. Would definitely come back again. Staff very friendly and also speak English.

11/06/2025: The location is shabby chic style. The light colors of the wallpaper and the green of the walls give the place a relaxing atmosphere. The waitresses are very punctual, present but discreet, fast but precise, smiling and kind. We chose the tasting menu. The fish was very fresh. The slightly sparkling white wine was really delicious. A very nice evening. I highly recommend this place. Excellent experience.

The food has that kind of easy, honest taste that makes you feel at home, and it’s clear that they put a lot of care into every dish. I loved it so much, I came back twice during this trip — and I would go again without hesitation. Highly recommended if you’re looking for authentic food in a warm, unpretentious setting. A hidden gem that deserves more recognition.

23/06/2025: We were there for the start of the evening at 7 p.m. We had called a few days in advance to make a reservation, which I think was absolutely sensible. The restaurant has limited seating and exudes a very intimate and welcoming atmosphere. The food, the hospitality, the service, and the restaurant itself were all absolutely first-class. It was a wonderful evening, and we would have loved to try everything on the menu. All the dishes we chose were absolutely fantastic. For us, it's an absolute insider tip when in Trieste.

22/06/2025: Small simple place with few seats. Genuine flavors and a menu that invites you to taste. We fell in love with the chickpea cream❤️. The friendliness of the staff combined with the excellent service make the experience very pleasant.

15/06/2025: Cenamos en Il Diavolocchio Goloso y nos fuimos realmente impresionados. El restaurante tiene un ambiente hermoso, refinado pero acogedor, con un ambiente sharm y chic que equilibra perfectamente el carácter local y el estilo elegante. Los mariscos son increíblemente frescos, en realidad lo llevan a su mesa antes de cocinarlo, lo que es un gran toque y muestra una verdadera atención a la calidad. Los platos están muy bien plateados, visualmente impresionantes y aún mejor para comer: sabores auténticos preparados con habilidad y respeto por los ingredientes. El servicio es atento y cálido, exactamente lo que cabría esperar de un restaurante de este nivel. El camarero era profesional, servicial y discreto, siempre presente sin ser intrusivo. Un lugar que ofrece sabor, presentación y hospitalidad. Muy recomendable para cualquier persona que busque disfrutar de mariscos de alta calidad en un entorno elegante pero lleno de alma.

04/06/2025: Ottimo consiglio datoci dalla Sig.ra Claudia dell’Azienda vitivinicola “Cantele”, ottimo il servizio, ottima la materia prima e la cucina. Il prezzo è congruo con il livello espresso. Da consigliare a chi vuole mangiare del pesce fresco ben lavorato accompagnato degli ottimi vini.

19/06/2025: Food was amazing! Has strawberry tuna tartare and pasta, they even accommodated for my vegan partner and made 4 appetizers and a pasta dish for her. Service, wine, food, and staff top class

21/06/2025: The restaurant has a few tables inside (very close to each other, moreover) but many more outside, in summer it is more pleasant to be outside. You can take individual dishes or the menu: menu with a large salad plate, savory pie and drink €12, menu with a small salad plate with savory pie and drink €9 or menu with pizza. You can make up the salad with everything that is on the counter until you fill the bowl (small or large). It is self-service so they do not serve at the table and you also have to clear the table yourself. If you want, they will heat up the savory pie in the microwave, the rest are dishes that are mainly eaten cold.
