03/05/2026: We had an amazing experience at Osteria Chichibio in Polignano a Mare. Everything was absolutely delicious — the lobster, oysters, and baked fish were outstanding! The atmosphere was fantastic, and the service was even better — warm, attentive, and truly top-level. I highly recommend this place. Kamila R.

03/05/2026: What a tourist trap! I ordered a lobster tartare listed at €16 for 100g on the menu, thinking I'd get a maximum of 200g, but the waiter brought me a whole lobster that looked small. In the end, I paid €120! According to them, it weighed 750g, which is ridiculous! I'll never go back and strongly advise you to avoid this trap! The bill came to €300.

24/04/2026: Bad experience. Perhaps it's the fame that's obscuring the principle that it's the customer who chooses (and returns, if...). Lunch 1:30 PM. Quote: "There's no room, probably in half an hour. Take a look around and if you don't find anything, come back..." I left and didn't come back. Naturally.

14/04/2026: We came as a family with two children. The food was homemade and excellent. A wide selection of delicious pastries. They cater to gluten-free needs. Efficient service; the staff were helpful and friendly. Pleasant and elegant atmosphere.

The unwary traveler who sadly approaches the food and fails to recognize the indelible insignia risks getting lost in this Babel of conviviality. The signs are evident, overlapping, and displayed like trophies. Captain Blackbeard's philosophy is clear in its intent and purpose, conveyed by the crew with a Picard-like air as they welcome customers onto the ship with the skull and crossbones. The dim light and the indelible "signs" of those who preceded us facilitate entry into the shop's gustatory knowledge. The tender cured meats gathered on the plate forge a pact of loyalty: first, the fresh prosciutto opens the taste buds to the assault of the more concentrated cured meats and delicate pancettas, which, mindful of their origins, melt at the arrival of the second wave of flavor. In their straw-yellow white suits, complex cheeses arrive, such as the proud pecorino and spicy gorgonzola, veined in their own style, while, freed from shame, the bloomy rinds hide behind the timid parmesan. While awaiting the next assault on the palates of those present, rivers of joyful wine soothe the mood until the arrival of the first courses filled with rich sausages related to light cream or solitary salmon. The tagliata arrive urgently, raw in the rush and flavored with a few random herbs so as not to be completely naked. Rich mascarpone creams, buttery and composed with crunchy fans necessary to hide the intimate grain enclosed within, awaken and cover the raw sensations. After the meal, the brigade gathers in a disorderly fashion to bid farewell and plan the next melee attack.

01/04/2026: The visit to this Italian restaurant (with Michelin ambitions) on the stunning Lake Garda was, by far, the worst service I have ever experienced as a seasoned Michelin restaurant guest. The level of service was absolutely — and I truly mean absolutely — below any acceptable standard (in fact, the service was practically non-existent) and completely unworthy of the Michelin ambitions this restaurant claims to have. It already started with an Italian waiter who did not speak a single word — literally not a single word — of English or French. Even the most basic fundamentals of hospitality, such as offering an aperitif, were completely unknown to him. As for the wine, we were not even given the menu (tablet) in hand; instead, the vague interaction was limited to a single question asking whether we wanted a magnum bottle… Then, in Italian, he asked if we wanted 1.2 kg of meat — without us ever having seen a menu. For the guests at the table who ordered soft drinks, these had to be fetched from the hotel next door…!!! Two hours later, part of the table still had not received any food. To top it all off, coffee and tea were included on the bill but were never served. When we addressed this with another waiter (who spoke excellent English), he briefly took over the service, only to hand us back to the Italian-speaking amateur shortly afterward. In our view, a major mistake was that this English-speaking waiter did not handle the service entirely, but instead handed it back to his incompetent colleague — despite the fact that we had clearly indicated we were not satisfied with him. To end on a positive note… the food was very good.

07/03/2026: A trattoria in the historic center, with decor that harks back to the times the restaurant's name suggests. They say a good start to the day begins, and that was true from the moment we were greeted by the waiter. The dishes served only to confirm the restaurant's reputation. The cuisine satisfied every request, and we were able to sample the quality of the dishes and the chef's professionalism, both for the first and second courses. Special thanks to the owner for both his helpfulness and his hospitality.

17/03/2026: THE PERCH RISOTTO WAS BEYOND DELICIOUS - I can’t stop thinking about it even 3 months later Staff was so amazing - we kept coming back just to see them.

15/02/2026: A great Valentine's Day in a cute, small, and I might add intimate place. The staff are friendly, the food is well presented, and the dishes are sophisticated. You can choose between meat and fish, including the freshest catch of the day. The prices are a little higher, but when the quality is there, you don't even notice! Definitely worth a try! A second Valentine's Day 🤩🥰... we're back for a third Valentine's Day. Everything was great.

26/12/2025: A lucky find, since not many restaurants are open on Christmas Eve. The atmosphere was a bit subdued, perhaps because we were the only customers. The English translation of the menu was incorrect, and what we wanted to order was either not available or simply not on the menu. Wine prices were only listed per bottle. In the end, we ordered three portions of pisi with duck ragu—the food was delicious! All's well that ends well!

23/01/2026: Elegant and welcoming location. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The risotto of the day was cacio e pepe, creamy and flavorful. The tagliata and tagliolini with truffle were also very good. Attentive and friendly service. We had a wonderful time.
