An excellent experience in the heart of Piacenza My wife and I have dined at Enoteca da Renato several times and are increasingly enthusiastic each time. The atmosphere is intimate and refined, perfect for an evening for two. Each dish stands out for the excellent quality of the ingredients and the perfect blend of tradition and a touch of sophistication. Two nights ago in particular, we started with an excellent appetizer of quality Piacenza cured meats, followed by exquisite fish main courses, such as roasted octopus and a revisited parmigiana, truly worth trying. The wine selection, with interesting local labels, and the attentive yet unobtrusive service deserve special mention. This is a true Piacenza gem for those who love good food and wine.

TOP! Simply perfect. Authentic, traditional Piacenza cuisine, food with history, delicious and truly original to the area. The service was a 10/10, and the atmosphere was super welcoming and friendly. You can't come to Piacenza and not eat here. We tried some off-menu items that are very traditional to the area, like the "bombeta" (an amazing pigeon appetizer). Everything was delicious.

And here I am at another place in Piacenza where you can eat really well, and in this case, drink well, too. A historic wine bar that offers characteristic and very refined dishes. All paired with the sommelier's expert winemaking skills. So, a well-rounded experience. I don't drink wine, but my companions do. They were very happy, so I trust their opinion. What can I say? Another highly recommended place. Here too, we had the bortellina paired with cured meats.

A lovely old-fashioned tavern specializing in Piacenza specialties. I recommend a platter of cured meats accompanied by a special local product. For the first course, follow what you recommend. As for the second course, I fell in love with a very special tartare. It's up to you to discover the rest. All this while tasting meditation wines.

We stopped for a quick lunch. The food and wine were excellent, and the staff were friendly. If we ever pass through Piacenza again, we'll definitely return.

20/07/2026: The location is undeniably beautiful, and the quality of the food is equally undeniable. Everything was very good, but the portions were truly ridiculous for the price. The grilled horse, for example, costing €26, consisted of two tiny pieces of meat with a slice of zucchini, a slice of eggplant, and half a grilled onion. This is an osteria with Michelin-starred portions. Perhaps the first courses were a little more generous. Unfortunately, the service also left much to be desired. Long waits for wine, there's no wine list, and the price is neither displayed nor disclosed. We didn't find any surprises on the bill, but it was still unpleasant. We asked and requested a bottle for dessert three times, but it never arrived... No bitters were even offered. Service lasted from 2 to 6 PM; we weren't in a hurry, but overall, we weren't looked after properly considering the quality of the restaurant.
13/07/2026: During an event at a winery in Langa they were present with a street food stall….so, the sandwich with raw meat, made in 4 seconds and it was a total orgasm, truly sublime!!!
