30/08/2025: We absolutely loved eating here! Our food was some of our favorite in Rome. Our waiter was nice, funny, and attentive. The prices were incredibly reasonable. We had a bottle of wine, a pizza, and two pastas for 54 euros. HIGHLY recommend.

23/08/2025: NO. Terrible food, inedible fish. Even though they noticed we barely touched any of the food, they didn't even bother asking us why. They gave us an already opened bottle of wine (I don't know how long ago), saying it was three glasses, but they charged us for the full amount. Poor service, no parking. Never again.

19/08/2025: It was recommended to us by others and we were not disappointed. The staff's hospitality already gave us a sense of class. The fish was delicious, with that little something extra that's often missing elsewhere; they were truly excellent. We were a little disappointed that we paid for seven appetizer plates for five people. We had ordered a sort of tasting menu, not seven dishes. I hope they introduce a formula that accommodates this request in the future. The price is a bit high for those who aren't expecting it, but it's reasonable considering the quality of the food and service. I'm giving it a well-deserved 5 stars.

26/08/2025: An excellent fish restaurant, with only the decor reminiscent of a trattoria. My only criticism here would be that the decor is too chaotic and distracts too much from the food. The lighting concept with its varied light sources creates an additional sense of unease. The food is truly fabulous. The grilled sardines, marinated in a kind of onion broth, were my highlight. The spaghetti with fish roe was a bit too salty for me, and the pistachio mixture didn't completely convince me. The carpaccio, on the other hand, was. Although it's a fish restaurant, they offer incredibly delicious desserts that far exceed the standards of a classic Italian restaurant. The chocolate tart tastes deliciously of chocolate, not sugar. The service is attentive and courteous. You should allow yourself some time in the evening, as the dishes are freshly prepared and you do have to wait a bit between courses. All in all, it was a culinary delight.

09/09/2025: We arrived late without a reservation, but luckily there was still a spot for us. When we wanted to order drinks, I asked if he spoke English—he said no, and we all laughed. No worries! Later, when it was time to order food, another man who did speak English came over and explained everything on the menu (on the chalkboard) in detail. That was really helpful! We made our choices, and the food arrived fairly quickly—absolutely delicious! The restaurant isn’t exactly on the main route, but I stumbled upon it, and I’m so glad I did. Cozy, local, and full of atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time there!

08/09/2025: A very typical and unique place. The welcome and final farewells were practically nonexistent. The tagliolini with truffle were bland and tasteless, the porcini mushroom salad was good. The Angus beef tagliata with lard was insufficient: the lard, instead of melting, was hard to cut, and the tagliata was too stiff. At least ask for the cooking method. €72 for two, but at least no cover charge. I'm sorry, but I don't understand all the positive reviews.

29/07/2025: Very nice lady, you can choose to sit inside, on the terrace or on the “tower” which has a breathtaking view, the steak for 2 was really nice and the pasta was very tastefull too. Overall truly great experience

16/08/2025: Absolutely fabulous! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Castro's Underground was a wonderful discovery. The ingredients are excellent, with incredibly fresh fish and a truly overwhelming flavor. The first courses are plentiful and flavorful, served with great care. The staff is extremely kind and always available, while the restaurant is elegant and welcoming. The quality-price ratio is incredible: you spend very little compared to the high quality of the dishes served. Highly recommended, I can't wait to go back!

I encourage you to come at least once, and then it will become a regular for you too. I'll end with SPECTACULAR.
