10/08/2024: Location in a strategic area near the airport. Stopped for lunch, I had octopus salad (good) and spaghetti with anchovies (failed). The guys who serve are very kind and the place is very welcoming and well-kept. Good value for money all in all. The real problem is the timing, half an hour for the pasta, so much so that I thought they had forgotten to order. The somewhat resentful restaurateur told me that they prepare everything at the moment and therefore these are the technical times. Maybe, but my pasta was also overcooked and the sauce too watery... If you don't have time problems go there, still worth a try.

23/08/2024: Very convenient location. The room is clean, spacious, everything works as it should. We especially liked the honesty bar and the terrace with a gorgeous view. We were also able to ride the gondola outside the hotel without having to wait in line. We booked through Booking 3 months before arrival. I recommend!

21/08/2024: Memore di cene favolose del passato, di quelle di pesce proprio memorabili, sono ritornata con la mia famiglia e purtroppo la delusione e’ stata cocente. Dozzinale, poco curato, servizio mediocre e piatti scialbi. Ho addirittura avuto la sensazione che nella frittura a di gamberi bianchi, acciughe e baccalà navigasse parecchio surgelato. Crudi niente di che e ostriche da dimenticare. Peccato. E’ stata proprio una delusione

30/07/2024: The food was great, the ambiance was modern, but the service was lacking. It's a fantastic meal and the flavors are amazing, but for $100+/person, you'd expect your food to come on time and for the servers to be at the top of their game. The service and attention we started with quickly deteriorated after our first main dish. The restaurant filled up and suddenly our waitress became a waiter, then the host, then the bus boy, and so on and so forth. We waited around a bit long for our main course - the amberjack fish and roasted beef was divine - which by then we were starting to get full from waiting. The flavors here are great. Some dishes shine in their simplicity, some in their complexity. One or two were a bit much or a bit shy, but for 95% of the food, it was beautiful and delicious. Compliments to the kitchen for what they create. Unfortunately, besides the service, the one caveat is that the tiramisu will not blow your mind. I heard that perhaps it's due to new mgmt not being as interested in making it the restaurant's main dish. Anyway, we've had better tiramisu. Not 100% if the mascarpone had enough egg ratio in there.

24/08/2024: Luogo incantevole… immerso nel verde dove si respira aria di serenità e pace. Abbiamo cenato in due ed è stato davvero piacevole. Ottimo cibo, servizio attento e gentile. Consigliamo sicuramente. Abbiamo anche acquistato i loro prodotti…buonissimi… Per meglio agevolare il loro lavoro e servizio è sempre meglio e utile prenotare prima, lo si può fare comodamente tramite messaggio whatsapp al quale ti rispondo con gentilezza specificando il menù e il costo. Una serata davvero piacevole.

19/08/2024: Excellent food. For the meat lover. Beautiful Argentinian sirloin steak or steak Americana. And for small prices. Make sure you make a reservation because Italians also like to eat here.

18/08/2024: We found this restaurant by chance, we immediately liked everything about it! The welcome (even though we entered almost at closing time for lunch), the well-kept environment, the wine cellar, the warmth and obviously the food! The pici cacio e pepe are delicious and the homemade tiramisu is absolutely worth trying! Suitable for both a dinner for two and a family with children. The outdoor space with lanterns is also very nice. We will definitely return when we are in the Trasimeno area.

29/07/2024: The hotel provides such an interesting and beautiful experience. The decor and art inside are exceptional. The pool and the grounds, garden are gorgeous. Breakfast fabulous. Why 4 stars for service ? When you arrive tired and walk to the room and there is no water offered except the one you need to buy for 5 euro... Unacceptable. At this price i expect water and a Nespresso machine at a hotel. But maybe its a thing in the area: you get lots at 120 euro/night places but nothing when you pay 300. Also, a fan in the room would be good. It was 36 C and it was a bit stuffy.

03/08/2024: You have to take the beef, forget the sausages or pigs which are certainly perfectly prepared but are not worth the concept of the restaurant (there was however 'fiorentina' suckling pig on the menu but it was out of stock :-). There is a giant grill inside in the typical Romagna fireplace type on which they cook the meats. The meats are succulent. There are local and matured meats. As usual in Italy the plate is only garnished with meat, you have to order a 'contorno' if you want vegetables.

11/08/2024: A very good restaurant in the very center of Cremona. For dinner, shrimp tartare, beef tartare and octopus were served. All dishes were very good and the combinations of ingredients were interesting. It's not a cheap restaurant, but it's worth it.

11/08/2024: In this restaurant they offer a beautiful combination of the solid Cremonese gastronomic tradition and contemporary creativity, in which contrasting flavors are harmonized with a certain mastery. Like the fattiness of eel with the acidity of fermented vegetables or the sweetness of pear with the flavor of sardines in saor in a Franciacorta risotto. The linguine with fish sauce and prawn tartare are also delicious; the aubergine with tomato and burrata and basil cream reminiscent of Neapolitan parmigiana is very delicate. The bottle of wine is also excellent, always a Franciacorta. In the dining room the service was very courteous, although with some small inattention. The bill reflects well the quality of the experience offered. We are in the Baptistery square of Cremona, a truly particular historical and monumental context, which certainly gives added value to the stop in this restaurant.

24/06/2024: Ho mangiato una pizza in compagnia: l'impasto era davvero buono, ma forse ho sbagliato la tipologia di pizza (nel menu era indicato crema di zucca e la pizza presentava zucca a pezzi).. ad ogni modo ho mangiato bene. Non pensavo facesse anche ristorante, me ne sono accorta dopo in quanto non ci era stato portato il menù della cucina. Consiglio il locale per una pizzata senza pretese e in allegra compagnia.

The place is perfect, elegant but not pretentious, the service pleasant and not stiff, the staff attentive and attentive but not intrusive. It is clear that they have also invested in the preparation of the dining room staff. Well done. The dishes are simply perfect, very fresh fish prepared with style but without excess. The restaurant has an amazing food menu but also less important bottles suitable for a quiet dinner. Perhaps the greatest advantage is precisely that of being a place capable of welcoming wealthy tourists as well as normal people, thrilling both. It makes you feel good to dine at La Tana del Pirata.
