We stumbled upon this Osteria while exploring the streets of Pisa. The place is unassuming from the outside, though the stickers with awards received from various years are eye-catching. We wanted a typical Tuscan dinner, and that's exactly what we got.
Fresh, homemade tagliatelline pasta (thinner tagliatelle) in two versions: one with rabbit and asparagus, the other with pioppini mushrooms.
We also ordered ravioli stuffed with pecorino cheese, accompanied by white beans and fresh tomatoes, and Junior's favorite dish: spaghetti with a mix of mussels and clams. We were surprised that the waitress asked us to limit ourselves to two different dishes because "the kitchen would have trouble making four different pastas"?!?), but eventually, our order was taken. It took a while, so we ordered a delicate zucchini soufflé with sauce as an appetizer to try. The interior is atmospheric, with diplomas, awards, and distinctions adorning the walls. We heard Italian at other tables, which boded well, and it turned out to be a good choice. The dishes were beautifully presented and garnished with sage chips. Such simple, honest, and delicious cuisine, which, in this region, emphasizes simple recipes, high-quality local ingredients (olive oil, beans, game, seafood), and seasonality.
I recommend it! But I can't guarantee that the staff will take an order for four different dishes – we did, and we're very grateful for that!

We had called them to reserve for the evening, but they were closed. However, they called us back as soon as they opened, which was considerate. The servers were kind and easy to connect with, and the food was as you would expect: enjoyable, simple (or rather, not overcomplicated), and elegant.

We were absolutely blown away by Osteria dei Cavalieri!
The food is simply spectacular, but an honorable mention definitely goes to the tagliolini with rabbit and asparagus: balanced, flavorful, and truly memorable.
The service is friendly and attentive to every detail, with excellent service times. The restaurant is truly well-kept, and we also really appreciated the choice of music, which was perfect for the atmosphere. Central location, 10 minutes from the tower.
We'll definitely be back, a well-deserved five-star rating!

The pasta dishes were excellent, full of flavour and perfectly prepared. A great experience overall. Highly recommended. Nowadays, many restaurants have ratings between 4 and 5 stars, and not all of them truly deserve it. This one certainly does.

We had two excellent pasta dishes for dinner (cheese ravioli and eggplant and ricotta pasta)! We were completely full, and the cheese plate that followed, with its different ages of Pecorino, was a real treat.
The wine of the day was very good and had a lovely, sun-kissed aroma.
I highly recommend this warm and peaceful place; the service was top-notch and attentive.
