A prestigious restaurant, boasting numerous Michelin and TripAdvisor accolades, among others, with high-quality food but slow service. Interestingly, the noisiest customers are locals.

Good food, but very disappointing experience. We were told we couldn’t order different dishes because it was “too complicated for the kitchen,” and had to stick to only 1–2 plates. Not what you expect from a Michelin-star restaurant.

We had a great time with good food and friendly hosts. Wine, balsamic vinegar, grappa? All in.

We tasted some exceptional dishes....octopus carpaccio, tonnarelli mussels and clams, cod with chickpeas and the truly delicious squid, the crunchy dessert was a delight, the wine recommended by the owner's daughter was nectar.....the kind and professional waitress will make you feel at home......excellent inn in the center of Pisa❤️

The absolute highlight of my 2-week European trip! After visiting the Leaning Tower, we wanted authentic Tuscan cuisine and found this Michelin Bib Gourmand gem. Despite a reservation mix-up by our hotel, they were kind enough to accommodate our walk-in. Unlike the surrounding tourist traps, it was filled with locals and a warm, traditional atmosphere. A special thanks to the red-haired staff member who guided us through the meal with such kindness and perfect English. Every dish—fried bread with prosciutto, rabbit tagliatelle, ravioli, tagliata, and the legendary ossobuco—was a masterpiece. To be honest, this meal was even more memorable and moving than the Michelin-starred fine dining restaurants we visited in France and Austria. It was the perfect finale to the scenery of the Arno River and Tuscany. Pisa is famous for Fibonacci and Galileo, but this restaurant made it unforgettable for us.

Good, but I had higher expectations. The pappardelle with duck ragù didn't quite work; the ragù didn't hold together with the pasta because the meat was too chunky. The wild boar with polenta, vegetables, and dessert were good. The wine by the glass was good (a Bolgheri). The quality/price ratio was less satisfactory than other places in Pisa.

If you want a proper sit-down Tuscan meal, reviewers highly recommend this Michelin-mentioned gem near Knights Square. Visitors love the elegant but totally unpretentious vibe, praising classic dishes like the sliced beef with rosemary and the incredibly fresh seafood pastas. It is slightly more upscale but completely reasonably priced, making it a brilliant spot to escape the tourist traps and enjoy a high-quality, authentic dinne

La Pergoletta

01/05/2026: Good food, beautifully presented (the fettuccine with zucchini and provolone, and the meatballs were excellent!), and excellent service. It's located in a restricted traffic zone, but it's a pleasant walk with parking along the Lungarno. Recommended!
28/04/2026: The food is really good; all the dishes we tried were delicious. The only things I didn't like were that as soon as you finish your dish, they bring you the next one (so, basically, you don't even have two seconds to gulp down the first one) and that they bring us a second bottle of water after we've had the first one without us asking, but they make you pay for it. Anyway, I'll be back, hopefully many times!
