18/03/2024: Passing through the Trani-Bisceglie area, we are attracted by the presence of numerous grill restaurants in Corato, not far away. But this one surprises us as it has grafted the tradition of the wood fire onto the cooking of the chicken on the spit (therefore, on the flame and not on the grill). A perfect combination: the chicken is of the "campese" type - that is, raised on the ground and on average heavier (a good 30-40%) than the classic supermarket rotisserie chicken; but, above all, it is cooked in the flame of excellent wood, in an excellently fueled maxi wood-fired oven. Exceptional exquisite flavour, very helpful staff. The room consists of an external air-conditioned terrace, well insulated, with restaurant-style seating and treatment. The grilled meat offerings are varied in each case (chicken is the protagonist); for lunch they also offer classic catering, for dinner there is more grilled food, but it is possible to order upon reservation. Judging by the number of takeaway customers, they feed half the country on a Saturday night at home. The owner, very kind, showed me how the wood oven and the entire apparatus work.
Exceptional value for money, also due to the excellent default offers which include large drinks (Cola, beer, etc.). I definitely recommend it and, if I'm passing through soon, I intend to return
