21/02/2026: Very clean hotel, freshly painted rooms. Unfortunately, breakfast was served in the bar across the street and was very meager. We had to pay for a second cup of coffee ourselves, there was no cutlery, no buffet... even though they work together. For me, paying full price including the buffet is unacceptable. Therefore, only 1 point for service.

27/12/2025: The only hotel in the area that was open between Christmas and New Year's. We had a good dinner at the attached Bistro Imbarcadero.

25/10/2025: I went to this restaurant for a "horrible" takeout pizza, with unprepared staff, plus a rude owner who seemed to be doing me a favor by offering two pizzas. I asked for a ham pizza, and when I got home, I opened it to a bitter discovery. Only a pizza with tomato sauce that tasted like ketchup and cooked ham full of grease, money thrown in the trash. Not only was it inedible, it was also thrown in the garbage. I called the number, but it was turned off and unreachable, to make amends. Besides the fact that the entrance isn't even signposted, as it was completely dark, with a sidewalk jutting out from the entrance on the right that I took sideways, damaging my car, what can I say? It was absolutely not worth going to this place on someone's recommendation. I absolutely do not recommend it.

02/02/2026: Passing through Laveno for a day trip, we stopped at this pastry shop to warm up. The service was definitely good, although I had ordered a plain hot chocolate with cream, but it arrived dusted with cocoa powder. Anyway, the hot chocolates and pastries were mediocre, nothing particularly good, and the chocolates were lumpy. Otherwise, nothing special. Prices were typical of cross-border commuters, Swiss, or Milanese.

02/05/2025: BAD, very bad! We went for lunch on a day when there weren't many people; in fact, there were only a few tables occupied. Despite this, I was served a first course and only an appetizer (Goma Wakame) within 5 minutes of ordering, but then both I and my tablemates were served half an hour later, maybe even longer! It's unacceptable. All this for simple appetizers (I got the stuffed ravioli after half an hour, but for the following courses I had to wait another 10 minutes!). After the appetizers, we received some nigiri that to call COLD would be an understatement (in fact, they looked like they had just come out of the freezer). They were inedible. The rest was adequate/fair, some good. It's not the Shabu I remembered, unfortunately. Until a year ago, it was, in my opinion, the best AYCE in Varese, but after the latest experience, I had to change my mind. Terrible service and adequate quality (maybe not even that). €25 wasted. I hope it was a random disservice, but that was our experience. I'm ready to change my mind and leave a new, better review, but we definitely won't be returning anytime soon.

13/04/2025: This Japanese restaurant is one of my favorite places. The food is always excellent: authentic dishes, meticulously prepared with quality ingredients. The space is cozy, small but very comfortable, with an intimate atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The staff is super friendly, welcoming, and attentive, always with a smile. My favorite dish? Udon noodles, without a doubt—warm, filling, and perfectly flavorful. A true treat. It's the kind of place you'll want to return to, because you know it will never disappoint.

15/04/2026: Easter 2026. 7 people, including one with celiac disease and one with lactose intolerance. 2 appetizers, one quite good, the other not to my liking. 2 first courses: trofie with squid ink, etc. The pasta was raw, with only a hint of saffron. My dress was stained because the waiters had too many dishes in their hands. The plate was almost spilled on the table for the same reason. The risotto was overcooked, completely disjointed, with rock-hard prosciutto. The potato cake tasted only of garlic. My cousin had to ask for risotto twice because the waiters forgot to bring it. My 90-year-old grandmother asked for the meat to be taken away, and an aluminum container was thrown at her on the table. The cheesecake wasn't really a cheesecake, but rather a sweetened ricotta with Colomba crumbs and salted caramel. The pasta for the person with celiac disease arrived completely cold. The dessert for the lactose-intolerant person was still frozen. What can I say? It was all truly disappointing for the modest price of €65 per person.

04/11/2025: Great place for a vegan breakfast. A rare and extensive selection of vegan croissants, some with very unique flavors. It's located in a lovely park for pleasant walks. I highly recommend it. Vegan breakfast.

05/03/2026: The atmosphere, the beers, the food, everything was excellent. I'd call it a steak house, because in my opinion that's their strong point.

11/02/2026: The beers are good, as are the desserts. The pistachio cheesecake is simply excellent. The place is beautifully done, combining an industrial feel with wooden furnishings and leather sofas, exuding a warm and comfortable atmosphere.

09/11/2025: Honestly, the piadinas are filled with very little. For the price you pay, they should be made with more filling.

18/10/2025: I always go to this store for the professionalism of the staff and the quality of the products. The staff are always helpful and welcoming. The food is excellent and absolutely top-quality, with generous and balanced portions. I will definitely be back soon.

12/04/2026: While strolling through Sesto Calende, we stopped for dinner without a reservation. The place was very spacious. The appetizers and first courses were average, but the spaghetti was overcooked. We waited 30 minutes between the appetizer and the first course. Friendly staff.

30/03/2026: Worst food I've had in Italy. Seafood linguine was rubbery and bread was also chewy. Won't be back.

03/02/2026: The best bar in Cassano Magnago, complete with customer offers, always visible football matches of the League and Cups, home of the Milan Club Puma, private parking, Lotto, top-ups, fax, always well-stocked tobacconist, Slot machines, friendly and professional staff, always worth a visit.

Service: Fast Food: Average for an all-you-can-eat restaurant Buffet: One of the few places with a varied and good-quality buffet (octopus salad, shrimp cocktail, baked salmon) To all those who write 2*/3* STAR reviews, I remind you that on average you spend €15-30 at these restaurants to overindulge... if you want to look great, go spend your money at an à la carte restaurant!

06/02/2026: I'm very sorry to say this, but precisely because they offer vegetarian and vegan options, they could have done better. I ate very little, and what little I did eat had an unpleasant smell of spoiled, poorly preserved eggs. There wasn't even a simple miso soup alternative. I'm sorry because I was fond of this place and I was truly disappointed.
