25/05/2025: Disappointing in every way: a real drop in quality I have been frequenting this place for years and have always appreciated it for the quality of the food and the welcoming atmosphere. Unfortunately, the most recent experience was deeply disappointing and prompted me to write this review. The wild boar dish was the most critical point of the lunch: the meat had a decidedly unpleasant smell and taste, with an aftertaste similar to spoiled fish, a clear sign of poor freshness or improper storage. The appetizer, already rather poor in portions, was excessively expensive compared to the quality and quantity offered. The general level of food has significantly worsened over the years: once genuine and well-prepared dishes now seem banal, not very tasty and lacking in identity. Prices have also increased, but unfortunately not in line with the real value of the experience. To make the day even worse, I had a strong gastric discomfort a few hours after the meal, which makes me seriously question the hygienic conditions and the quality of the ingredients used. It's a real shame to see a place that I respected so much sink to these levels. I won't be returning and, unfortunately, I can no longer recommend it.

28/06/2025: Booked for 7.45pm and the order was taken 20 minutes later, being passed over by a family who arrived after us. We ordered 2 Valtellinese menus, which had nothing Valtellinese about them, asked for dessert the waiter didn't understand our language, not to mention the pizzocheri which were inedible.

07/06/2025: Nous y sommes allés 2 soirs de suite. Tout était très bien les plats, l'accueil formidable du patron et du personnel. Nous avons passé un agréable moment. Comme nous étions 7 , nous avons pu avoir un petit coin à part très sympa. Merci pour la dégustation del allorino et toutes les petites attentions.

23/03/2025: Si mangia sempre bene in questo ristorante: piatti della tradizione e non abbondanti e ben curati. E' anche l'occasione per farsi consigliare alla scoperta di vini che, nel rispetto della tradizione e della qualità, consentono di sperimentare nuove cantine e novità di vinificazione. Bravi!

14/03/2025: Alloggiando un paio di notti all’hotel Nevada abbiamo anche usufruito del loro ristorante dove ci siamo sempre trovati bene con la loro cucina della tradizione locale. Buona anche la selezione di vini locali tra cui una raccolta tardiva di nebbiolo che si sposava benissimo con il cervo. Bene anche la colazione a buffet.

11/06/2025: We stopped for a quick lunch on the way down. Stunning view of the valley and the adjacent waterfall, extremely friendly and efficient service, great products and very fair prices.

06/06/2025: Best coffee on the pass. Genuinely friendly barista and an amazing waterfall just behind the building. A great place to stop on the pass.

04/07/2025: One of the best restaurants in Bormio where to try typical local cuisine. They welcomed me in the kindest way even if I showed up 20 minutes before their closing time, and they were dedicating to me full attention explaining in details the various dishes options and the best wine matches. The meal overall was delicious, and the price fair given the quality of the ingredients. Definitely a top choice to take in consideration if you are in town.

22/02/2025: Now an obligatory stop for cheap lunches. The homonymous “Boomerang” is excellent. Interesting pizza. Fantastic ice cream cups. They deserve 5 stars but there is one big problem. The average at €7. Really too expensive... and it's a shame because when you come back thirsty from snowboarding I'd be a hunk. For the rest, carry on like this. 👍

21/06/2025: We spent three days at the La svolta hotel as a base for excursions in the area and we were happy with everything. The restaurant's cuisine is fabulous, local dishes but also original, carefully prepared. The location is very good with a splendid view of the mountains

07/06/2025: There are some slides for children, they closed an entire internal area without discounting the price. It is not possible to consume food even on the outside lawn. Thermal water. There is a small spa with sauna and Turkish bath and some hydromassages prohibited to children and teenagers

Strategically located in the mountains, this hotel embodies the perfect balance between family hospitality, modern comfort and authentic Alpine atmosphere. As soon as we arrived, we were greeted with a sincere smile and a rare helpfulness: the staff is extraordinarily courteous, attentive to every detail and always ready to provide useful advice for exploring the area. The atmosphere is warm and relaxing, like feeling at home... but with a breathtaking view of the mountains! The rooms are cared for in every detail, tastefully furnished in typical Valtellina style, but equipped with all modern comforts. Very comfortable beds, impeccable cleanliness, absolute silence during the night: every element contributes to a perfect rest. Breakfast? A dream. Very rich, with fresh and genuine local products, homemade desserts, and a coffee that conquers at the first sip. In short, Hotel Stelvio is not just a place to sleep: it is an experience to live. 28/05/2025: We stopped for a business lunch. Comfortable and very clean environment. Friendly and professional staff. Efficient and fast service, just as it should be at lunch. Really good and quality food. In short... a high-level lunch break. TOP quality/price ratio!
