01/05/2026: We arrived on 1 May at our 20:00 table even 5 minutes earlier. First it took them more than 20 minutes just to come and take our order. We had to call waiters a few times and they were footballing us. Then at 21:25 and the main course STILL has not arrived!!! I can't believe it takes so long. Eventually, after I tgreatened to cancel our order, our meat has arrived , it was okayish, a bit oversalted and very chewy, but not terrible. But none of us could finish what we ordered as it became too late to eat. Only the waitress girl was nice and pleasant, the others were inattentive

14/04/2026: We had the gourmet prosciutto (Crudo) pizza.
Italian prosciutto, tomato sauce, basil pesto, burrata, arugula.
And the gourmet bacon and 'Nduja pizza.
Seasoned bacon, tomato sauce, 'Nduja, Taggiasca olives, burrata.
Both pizzas were baked to perfection.
No cookie crust.
The burrata was excellent.
Very creamy and fresh.
The gourmet bacon is very flavorful and a little spicy.
But it works perfectly with the burrata.
The gourmet prosciutto (Crudo) was exactly as you would expect from this classic.
Of course, the quality depends on the ham.
Here, the prosciutto Crudo was very tasty and of good quality.
Therefore, I can only say: superb pizza.
We will definitely order this pizza again on our next visit to Chiavenna.
07/04/2026: We went on a Saturday night without a reservation and they found us a table, but it was 6:50 PM.
The pizza was good and quite thin, just the way we like it.

Excellent products, truly delicious croissants and pastries, and a wide selection.
Congratulations to anyone who froths the milk for the cappuccinos, because it's the best I've ever had.
Friendly and efficient staff.

The gnocchi are excellent, but not very garlicky and without cabbage.
Manfrigole are excellent.
Overall, good, although they could use an extra waiter.
07/04/2026: During a few days' vacation in Valchiavenna and Valtellina, we chose to have lunch at this splendid restaurant in Chiavenna, nestled in a charming spot right beneath a rocky cliff. Even though we hadn't booked, and the restaurant was fully booked, the friendly staff welcomed us anyway, allowing us to enjoy a delicious lunch. We began with slices of bresaola already on the table, as well as a beautiful platter of exquisite local cheeses with honey and sauces. We then moved on to tender pork cheek with polenta and an excellent thick barley and vegetable soup. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, the prices very fair, the service courteous, and the quality top notch!

05/04/2026: A very rustic restaurant with a small menu. However, the food is of very good quality and offers excellent value for money. The bresaola and tagliatelle al sugo di brasato are highly recommended. The service is very attentive and friendly. All in all, highly recommended. I will definitely come back.
20/03/2026: Braised beef with polenta was average, as was the side dish. The staff was friendly. The ambiance could be improved a bit. The service from the men could be improved a lot.

12/04/2026: We stayed 2 days, the room was excellent, the only negative notes were the pillows were too soft and the green light from the emergency lamp above the door that hits your eyes while you're trying to fall asleep and lights up the whole room. The breakfast with the do-it-yourself machine is a bit too free, yet having a bar downstairs I don't understand why they don't make a good cappuccino, the drinks are sugared water, packaged brioches and little selection at the buffet. For the rest, nothing to say

16/07/2025: A must-stop for stocking up on Prosto biscuits and other treats. The shop is well-stocked and there's parking nearby.
12/07/2025: A quaint shop, complete with an adjoining bakery, where you can buy the famous "Prosto biscuits"; they're truly delicious, well worth a visit! The workshop is located in a picturesque square next to the beautiful parish church, where Saint Luigi Guanella carried out his pastoral ministry in 1866.
