The manager is an elderly gentleman who knows what he is doing, is kind and knows how to welcome customers politely. Cuisine with not extensive choices and adequate for the staff available to maintain a notable level of quality. Wine list with a prevalence of local proposals. Since this is beyond, there is something to be satisfied with. It's a place I've put on the agenda for a return. Advised!

16/02/2025: Osteria Spezza ... is located in Piazza 24 Maggio number 5 ... in Cassolnovo, province of Pavia. Here booking is mandatory, it has high chairs for children, and our 4-legged friends are allowed here, it is a simple place which however offers excellent home-style cuisine with excellent, good quality ingredients. Here you can drink excellent wines at the table and enjoy very particular local desserts but with a unique goodness of its kind... and excellent tarts. The dishes are very abundant and there are also delicious platters, both of cured meats and cheeses, what I can tell you...and that the owners are nice and honest people...who do their job with delight...with love...respecting tradition, what else can I tell you...if you pass by Cassolnovo, come to this restaurant you will be surprised.

The first was therefore not a coincidence, now it is a real certainty. Fantastic dishes full of flavors and colours, excellent staff as always. I highly recommend the vegetarian starter, it varies each time depending on the period. Fruit and vegetables presented in a sublime way both in terms of sight and taste. A simple fennel, a courgette, a carrot or a green bean in this dish are not banal vegetables, on the contrary they make you say wow double wow, without neglecting all the others. Many compliments again. 👏👏👏🔝🔝🔝 Third experience today 4/6/2023 I deliberately chose to describe the new experience at the end of the previous ones. Everything as always perfect, from the service to what we ate. This time 7-course fish tasting menu. 03/02/2025: Locale raffinato e con un servizio eccellente , la cucina del giovane chef stellato che ha lavorato in alcuni dei più accreditati ristoranti milanesi risulta innovativa e ricca di spunti per gustare al meglio ogni piatto . Credo sia stata la mia migliore esperienza da diversi anni nella Provincia di Pavia che nn abbonda di simili offerte culinarie .

05/03/2025: Locale molto caratteristico ben curato e gestito con assoluta simpatia. Non è grandissimo, una trentina circa di coperti, e si presta bene a serate rilassanti e tranquille. Siamo stati ben accolti ed anche molto ben consigliati (sui vini Manlio è un'enciclopedia). Piatti molto ben curati e realizzati con maestria (ottimo il cacio e pepe, e super il baccalà in olio cottura). La torta finale (ricetta esclusiva) al cioccolato, una squisitezza. Consiglio la prenotazione, soprattutto nel week end. Prezzi rapportati alla qualità, onesti e meritati. Bravi.
