The food is tasty, good quality, and simply presented, as you'd expect from a trattoria. The portions, however, are rather small, and the prices are similar to those of a restaurant: a small appetizer, a moderate first course, a single-portion dessert, and half a liter of wine—five of us spent 36 euros each.

A welcoming family that makes you feel at home. Traditional Mantuan dishes prepared with care: superb smoked duck breast, succulent tagliatelle with pigeon, and salami as sweet as grandma's! Congratulations! Ask Paolo, a great sommelier and connoisseur, for wine recommendations.

A very welcoming and unique place, with attention to detail and many eye-catching furnishings. Impeccable and fast service, with little wait between courses. Friendly and helpful staff. The food was delicious, and the stay was pleasant. We had an appetizer, first course, second course, dessert, and coffee. Highly recommended; I'll definitely be back, especially to try the guinea fowl tortelloni with aromatic herbs.

Excellent traditional food, simple and attentive service. The same goes for the well-maintained rooms. Everything as it should be. I recommend the cooked shoulder with mustard!

A very welcoming trattoria, with a quiet and relaxing atmosphere. Attentive, polite, and friendly staff. The food is fantastic; I had the pumpkin gnocchi with taleggio and porcini mushrooms: I'll remember them for a lifetime. Amazing. The portions were adequate and the price was right: an appetizer, a first course, a second course, and two desserts came to just over €60 (dinner). Thank you!

An unforgettable New Year's Eve dinner for two. The food was delicious: a platter of cured meats, cheeses, and mustard; I had tortelloni with guinea fowl; my boyfriend had a delicious braised beef with baked potatoes. Special mention for the service: the waiter Paolino was charming, friendly, and punctual, both in ordering and explaining the dishes. Highly recommended!

Wonderful lunch. A journey back in time, into the flavors of times gone by. Excellent, fast and attentive service. Authentic cuisine with a wide selection of dishes. All around are rustic objects, grandmother's collections, and stills of select, precious grappas. The mustard... I can't forget it. I must return soon.

01/05/2026: If there were fifty stars, I'd give it a hundred. After all, there's no point in rating the emotion. As a celiac, I felt pampered, free to choose, and above all satisfied by a flawless meal. I ate a lot and well in a down-to-earth place that immediately put me at ease. An excuse to return to the Mantua area as soon as possible!
29/04/2026: We had lunch on the veranda on a very nice day (but the veranda is well-sheltered). The food was good (we are gluten-free friends), the portions were adequate, and the prices were absolutely reasonable. We'll be back!

Osteria Numero 2

22/03/2026: An experience. Culinary and more. A true osteria, where the host and the chef are NOT the same person. Like any great team, the result is achieved together, each doing their part and allowing the other to do the same, with mutual respect and trust. The chef is known through dishes built on excellent ingredients (with an abundance of Slow Food Presidia) and a great attention to translation, reinterpretation, and enjoyment. Because if you don't enjoy yourself, why bother eating out?! The host is incredibly knowledgeable about beers, wines, and cheeses. Don't be afraid to ask for advice and explanations; instead, be willing to take the time to listen, because when passion, expertise, and an innate charm come together, you can't do anything else :) Finally, the prices are absolutely reasonable. And there's also the possibility of finding solutions that are definitely affordable for everyone... You can't always have two courses with a cheese cart and dessert! Although here it would be worth it...
10/03/2026: High-quality products... cooked well and with so much passion. The fried gnocchi are exquisite...the stracotto and pumpkin-filled tortelli in three variations are also highly recommended...exceptional. We concluded the dinner with a selection of cheeses and mustards, all accompanied by a wonderful Giuseppe (the manager)...everyone's cousin (when you pay)....good expireance.
