Wonderful lunch, in a typical restaurant discovered by pure chance. I would have liked to taste practically the entire menu, so I hope I will have the opportunity to return, given that we liked the dishes we ordered a lot. A nice 10/10 for the anoli in broth and the pumpkin tortelli. The musso (donkey) and polenta are excellent and the sbrisolona is also amazing.
The staff were very kind and helpful in explaining all the dishes. Thanks for the great experience!

True tavern from times gone by, everything really good, very kind staff, the innkeeper always vigilant behind his counter. Absolutely to book, always full. Exceptional quality/price ratio. Highly recommended.

Characteristic place in the center of Mantua.
With me was a celiac person, welcomed and satisfied by the kind and helpful owner, who recommended the dishes.
I recommend (for non-coeliacs) pumpkin tortelli prepared with a Mantuan sauce, Risot Mená, a risotto from the European Academy of Mantua, a signature dish of the house (also for celiacs) and Musso with polenta (donkey stew, delicious and cooked perfectly!)
A real tavern like those of the past!
SUPER recommended tavern if you are looking for flavors faithful to tradition!

Sì ritorna a Mantova per lavoro e la tappa all’osteria dell’oca è d’obbligo. Nulla sembra cambiato dal 2019 sia in termini di qualità che di quantità di cibo. Peccato sempre per i pochi posti.

Mantova, pausa pranzo.
Nemmeno troppo tempo a disposizione, ma la voglia di "rifocillarci" è tanta.
E abbiamo avuto la fortuna di trovare l'ultimo tavolo disponibile in questa sensazionale osteria.
Gran bel tagliere di salumi, succose tagliatelle all'anatra e mirabile sorbir d'agnoli.
Vero che avevamo fretta, ma ...come si fa a rinunciare al "cremoso" dessert specialita' della casa?
Infatti inutile resistere alle tentazioni, perche' ne valeva proprio la pena.
E poi pure il liquorino finale, per un conto assolutamente da premiare per la sua correttezza.
