It's become a habit to dine here every now and then, to rediscover the flavors and aromas of ancient Mantuan cuisine. The dishes are well-prepared, starting with the pike in sauce, a unique and rare dish to find in these parts. The first courses are all fabulous, and the second courses are traditional. The wine cellar offers a good selection, and the staff is friendly and helpful. These are places that should never disappear.

On our first evening in Mantua, we dined at Osteria della Fragoletta, a welcoming place with attentive service. The traditional dishes were excellent, both first and second courses, including the horse stew. We finished with a rosebud cake with zabaglione. Delicious. Recommended.

We hit the nail on the head with friends, it's a shame you're not equipped to think intelligently about gluten. This would be an added bonus, my advice is to take action.

🙅🏽‍♂️ I'm sorry... The kitchen admitted that there was a mistake in the stew: it was bitter like bile, not the meat, but the reduction was truly borderline edible. But not a single mention of it when it came to the bill, not even coffee was offered (and I'm not even asking for bitter, for goodness sake...!). That's not how it's done, no. And then it's a shame, because the service was polite, friendly, and respectful (as was the closing, however, without many apologies... not even one, actually). As for the rest, after all... it's all good, it's all good, even if it's objectionable for Masterchef-like palates, and it certainly is. So go ahead, you'll enjoy it, but if something doesn't convince you, say so! ...because the bill has to be paid, and without quality, it's not worth it. For me, a bad experience. But anyway, in any case, I wouldn't go back.

Friendly, helpful, and the food is excellent. The paid parking is very convenient, just a few steps from the restaurant. The pumpkin tortelli are superb. I highly recommend them.

We ate pumpkin ravioli and homemade bigoli. Everything was delicious. I'll be back to try other Mantuan delicacies.

Excellent food, from appetizer to dessert. The tasting menu is also worth a try. The service was courteous and fast, despite our table of 12.

Fantastic food and very kind and reliable service. The wine (a local Mantuan Cabernet Sauvignon) was also great!

Best pasta ragu in the world. I'm speechless. I will be back.
