We had a great meal at a lovely restaurant here in Mantua, near the lakeside and the historic center. The staff was very friendly, and the atmosphere was a bit touristy, but I enjoyed it. Would I go back? It's not the best place I've visited in Mantua, but I have no reason not to, as I had a great time. The prices are fair.

A good osteria, offering a variety of traditional dishes that can only be found in the area. The atmosphere is a bit chaotic, but that's because it's always packed. Prices are a bit high, but considering the location, they're certainly not crazy.

The place is cute, just steps from the historic center and overlooking the lakes. Crowded but not overly so. The service was excellent and fast. Three stars for the food, which was good and good, but the pasta was al dente, oh so al dente! Tough, let's face it, definitely barely cooked. Dessert: tenerina cake. Yes, but not at all tender; this one was also decidedly hard and a bit stale. In short, a place for those with good teeth. Well, for me, good food is something else. I have to say one thing in its favor, though: the prices are definitely good.
After that, I don't think I'll be back.

Mixed platter, pork ribs with melon and onion, Prussian steak with black truffle (scorzone).
Very reasonable price, €90.
The place can be a bit noisy when crowded!

A simple and authentic osteria, with a welcoming atmosphere that immediately makes you feel at home. The cuisine showcases local tradition with excellent homemade pasta, quality cured meats, and generous meat specialties prepared with care.
