07/07/2026: We arrived by chance, two of us, without a reservation. We were greeted with a smile and a friendliness I hadn't seen in years. We ordered pumpkin tortelli and orecchiette with cacioricotta, and both dishes were delicious and plentiful. We paid the right price, and as always, we were greeted with a smile. Of course, I'll be back! Well done, keep it up!
24/05/2026: Very clean and welcoming place. The service is fast and very friendly. The fried gnocco is excellent. We'll be back to try other musical evenings.

04/08/2026: We tried this osteria in the Mantua area. The atmosphere was very pleasant, and the staff were helpful and courteous. The owner was very knowledgeable and helpful in explaining the platter of mixed cheeses and mustards. I highly recommend it. The other dishes were also good, with excellent pairings and beautifully presented. I'd say the value for money was good.

09/08/2026: This restaurant is decidedly high-end, both aesthetically and in terms of service. The delicious, authentic dishes served, cooked with passion, are evident in the final result and the meticulous preparation time.
The corner tables for two are much appreciated, a feature often overlooked and overlooked in many restaurants, but crucial for relaxed conversation and a convivial, intimate atmosphere.
We reiterate our personal compliments to the chef and hostess, who welcomed us and guided us through the world of Pecora Nera cuisine!
We'll be back soon, eager to sample more of your delicacies!

28/06/2026: We just left the trattoria with a huge smile on our faces, and that alone would be enough to recommend this place to everyone. The best part is that the welcome was attentive and friendly, the food delicious and made with love, and the place feels like something from another era, with that vintage allure that warms your heart.
Thanks again to all the staff for being so kind and generous with their thoughtfulness.
27/06/2026: We were passing through Mantua. After a quick search, we came across this osteria for lunch. Everything was delicious. I had the macaroni with stew and the pork cheek with polenta, both truly delicious. The service was perfect. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, we didn't feel very welcome.
We were traveling by motorcycle and this restaurant was recommended to us.
The menu was entirely in Italian, which wasn't a problem for us. In the age of Google Translate, that's all quite easy these days.
However, we spoke to the staff in English, as that's our preferred language.
Ultimately, we were told that we should use a translator for the menu because they didn't have one in English. After all, we were in Italy. Thanks for the info!
Therefore, I cannot recommend this restaurant to tourists. Guests from our accommodation unfortunately shared a similar experience.
09/08/2026: A very mixed selection, mostly burgers and fries, but everything was delicious.
Various beers on tap and a very pleasant seating area, half in the woods, half by the river.

The ice cream is arranged in the cone like a rose – simply beautiful.
09/08/2026: We were looking for an ice cream shop that offered tableside sundaes, which is very difficult to find at reasonable prices in Mantua, and it was a pleasant surprise. Everything was very good, as others have said. I'd emphasize the fact that they don't just offer giant sundaes, but three different sizes, so you can choose how much ice cream you want without having to waste it if it's too much. We'll be back!

29/06/2026: I gave 1 star for the atmosphere because, with temperatures around 38 degrees today, June 20, 2026, we had lunch on a completely open outdoor veranda with the fans on high that worked but did very little. Inside, they told me they don't have air conditioning. The food, however, was excellent. But from my point of view, you absolutely can't have lunch in the summer. There were a lot of people fanning themselves, including us. Never again will I have an experience like this with these temperatures! Maybe in December, but not now, absolutely not, I almost fainted!

The first courses are better than the second courses.
Don't order the pumpkin tortelli. Instead, opt for the macaroni with bacon.

The regional, honest cuisine is Michelin-star quality, beautifully presented with high-quality, perfectly paired wines, and the service is second to none.
