15/07/2024: Assolutamente No! Abbiamo preso un spritz sembrava acqua colorata, frizzante. Aperitivo con Spritz terribile e un po' di Chips

21/06/2024: I love this restaurant. I’ve been multiple times while staying here. The staff is so kind. The prices are great. The food is delicious. I don’t know why the rating isn’t as good as they deserve. Everything from breakfast croissants and coffee to lunch or aperitivo is splendid!

11/08/2024: While passing by on our way back to the car we were struck by the name of the place and we stopped. We took a treble clef, a puff pastry and some Sicilian cannoli: amazing. I recommend without a doubt! Impeccable service.

26/05/2024: The first time I struggled to find the pastry shop in Asso, because the original historical sign "PHARMACY" confused me a bit. Everything was excellent, from the typical Nocciolini to the desserts, the herbal teas, the excellent fruit tart served for my mother's birthday, a guest of the RSA S. Giovanni. Wheelchair entry made it possible to organize a simple party with children and relatives. The sign informing of the closure made me sad. I have often purchased sweets and peanuts for friends and for the kind staff of the facility. I really hope for the reopening of this particular place rich in history, with ancient and refined objects, where you can breathe an atmosphere of times gone by!

22/09/2023: oggi il ristorante ha cambiato completamente gestione, il menù è diverso, i cuochi sono eccezionali, i prodotti freschi .... è forse il miglior ristorante di Como per rapporto qualità prezzo

19/05/2024: Grill is slightly separate from the main hotel building of Villa D'Este and has a slightly dark frontage and the lightning is a bit dim, but the overall experience was very good. The food was good, though not exceptional for the price which is quite high. I think I could have got a ribeye steak of comparable quality for significantly less elsewhere (Red in St Peter Port for example, but no that handy for Lake Como) but you do pay a premium for being in Como at Villa D'Este. The wine list is good but again expensive. Expect to pay €200+ per head and more if you like wine. We drank wine by the glass which allowed a wide with starters and a red with main which worked well. They have the best ever dessert wine available Donnafugata Ben Rye, a passito from Pantelleria ( an Island between Malta and North Africa, not, as the sommelier insisted, in Sicily). Try it is you can. It is a little glass of amber heaven.
