20/10/2025: It's a real pleasure to rediscover the ancient flavors of typical Brescian cuisine with updated, bold, and flavorful dishes. The service and cleanliness are truly impeccable!
16/09/2025: Decades pass (!!), but the Belvedere di Maclino remains true to itself: excellent cuisine (the tagliolini with whitefish are exquisite, the crepes with Tremosine cheese, the pike with polenta, the creamed cod, the sorbet with Monte Maderno lemons, and the homemade liqueurs are among the specialties we tried this time), friendly and courteous service (Stefania and Florin make you feel at home, as do the rest of the staff), and prices that remain incredibly reasonable, including the wine list. The place is also… a belvedere (see the photo of the lake under a full moon!)
We'll return again and again.
PS: Last but not least, they created impromptu and delicious dishes for the vegan in the group—thanks to chef Luca.

01/11/2025: The Archangel is located in a deconsecrated church. It would be a beautiful setting if it were more carefully maintained.
Working lunch with a buffet appetizer full of garlic that I couldn't digest all day.
The meatloaf I ordered was simply awful: mushy, falling apart, and lacking any distinct flavor.
I won't be returning.

11/10/2025: Unfortunately, the rooms are in need of renovation. Otherwise, we had a pleasant stay. The service and breakfast were both very good.
01/09/2025: Fantastic location, room with balcony overlooking the lake. Beautiful garden. Large and clean room. Dated hotel in need of renovation, especially the decidedly "antique" windows and doors. The shower, with no sliding rail and curtain, could definitely use an overhaul. The on-site parking is very convenient.

I find everything there...cheerfulness, friendliness...coffee...cigarettes...and I even buy Attack there.
There are always tons of samples available.
The only downside...in my opinion, the €20 scratch-off tickets are too expensive.

25/09/2025: The treatment we received from the refuge manager was appalling. After warning us that we would be late for dinner due to an accident on the ring road that blocked the roads for four hours, we unfortunately arrived at midnight. The refuge had closed its doors, and obviously we were not given anything for dinner. We spent the night in the freezing winter bivouac.
The next morning, they gave us four slices of toast for breakfast and that was it, and they even charged us as if we had slept in a refuge.
This is the first time I've experienced such treatment in so many refuges I've visited.
I strongly advise against staying here, even though the refuge and the surrounding area are very beautiful.
19/09/2025: This refuge, structured like a large cabin, has a cozy, family-friendly atmosphere. The staff and managers are kind and welcoming. The dinner and room are excellent! We'll definitely return, even if just for lunch!

The pizza chef told us he learned the art of pizza making from his father at the age of 6—and you can taste it! 25 years of experience can be tasted in every bite of these truly delicious pizzas!

05/10/2025: Five of us had lunch. The place is nice, the food is good, and the staff needs to be replaced immediately. The lady who takes orders is terribly dressed and very rude. She seemed annoyed every time we asked for something. She was incredibly untrue. We asked if the meat was grilled and she said yes, but it was cooked on a griddle. Last but not least, after paying, we thought we'd be offered a liqueur or digestif, but after we had two small grappas, she presented us with the bill for €10, which we promptly paid. I've never had to pay for a liqueur or digestif at the end of a meal, and I go to restaurants all week! Personally, for a reason like that, I won't go back.
10/09/2025: The food is quite vudu, tasteless. The place is ok.
When reading the reviews, there were both good and bad. I think the bad ones are written by very demanding people, but I also turned out to be very demanding:)
