03/01/2025: The good things: - Nice view. - The staff was friendly and nice. - Breakfast was okay. The bad things: everything else: - The room was outdated and not very clean. - The bathroom still had used items left by previous guests. - The faucet was leaking. - Opening the bathroom door required force (and an elbow push). - The doors were noisy; opening and closing the bathroom door would wake everyone in the room, and possibly some neighbors too. - In the morning, I had to run the water for over 5 minutes before it was warm enough for a shower. Considering the price (€120), I expected a higher standard.

I've been trying to get some information about my party for weeks but it's always closed and they don't answer calls or messages!! I've already paid the deposit and I don't want my 18th birthday party to be ruined like this because I think it's a nice place and then it's too late to book other places!!!!

26/04/2025: Disaster. It doesn't even feel like the same place anymore, it's really bad and unfortunately it's a place we're unlikely to return to, it pains me to say this because the first time I went I had a really good time and we're talking about five years ago. We had already had less than exceptional experiences but we still went back several times but yesterday it was a total FLOP. I saw that there was the possibility on their website to book a table but since it was a holiday (April 25th) I wanted to send a message, no response, I tried again and they told me that the place will be open, at this point I booked. We arrive at the front and... closed. Nothingness. Empty. We didn't want to believe it... I'm honest in saying that two hours after booking, it was cancelled, but since an email arrived that I don't always open and since I was at work, I didn't have the opportunity to read it. So I wonder, since you request all the data, couldn't you have called to let them know? You could have sent another message to those who asked for information on social media and said that the place would be closed. Lots of disorganization. I'm very sorry.

07/04/2025: Non si finirebbe mai di scrivere su Tenuta Casa Virginia, tante sono le cose buone da raccontare di questo posto, magnifico per luogo, atmosfera, storia, cultura, accoglienza, gentilezza, competenza. E ovviamente cucina, che per certi versi passa quasi in secondo piano nel quadro dell'esperienza complessiva. La location è bellissima sia come posizione che per come è strutturata e curata, con vista su vigne e pianura circostante sia dalle grandi vetrate della sala che dalle terrazze esterne. Tutto il personale è sorridente, gentile, accogliente, premuroso e attento, con quella presenza e tempismo discreti che non danno mai fastidio e che lasciano gli ospiti tranquilli ma allo stesso tempo sempre seguiti. Ed è stato un sincero piacere essere coccolati e assistiti da persone tutte così gentili. Del resto si capisce presto da chi il personale tragga spunto: i proprietari sono a loro volta persone davvero splendide e piacevoli, che si intrattengono con sincerità con gli ospiti. A tal proposito, preparatevi ad essere positivamente affascinati e travolti dai tanti racconti che il signor Antonio vi offrirà della proprietà, dei loro fantastici vini (la sola cura delle etichette e delle storie locali a cui si ispirano racconta molto di quello che c'è dietro) e più in generale della viticoltura, dell'agronomia, della chimica, della metereologia, della storia millenaria del vino e dei suoi intrecci e le sue radici nell'Europa medievale. Si finisce inebriati da tanta passione e cultura, raccontate e trasmesse da una persona con la quale non si vorrebbe più smettere di parlare. Come dicevo, in tanta pienezza il cibo è quasi un dettaglio, seppure anch'esso di grande qualità, gusto, ricercatezza e varietà. Personalmente ho sempre dei dubbi preventivi sulla cucina "guormet" sofisticata e dalle porzioni contenute, ma da Tenuta Casa Virginia si esce soddisfatti sia nella qualità che nella quantità, sempre tenendo presente che si tratta di un ristorante di livello. Immancabile la sosta dopo pranzo per un'ultima visita agli esterni della proprietà e alla loro cantina per l'acquisto di alcuni dei loro fantastici vini (ma offrono anche altri soprendenti prodotti). Si va via da Tenuta Casa Virginia a malincuore, accompagnati dai sorrisi di persone che per alcune ore ci hanno fatto sentire quasi di famiglia e proiettati in un'atmosfera, un relax, una sincerità, una calma e una serenità che a Milano ci si dimentica di aver perso da tempo.

02/06/2025: Horrible experience. Pancakes were soggy, dry and tasteless, the gelato was ok, but there’s tons of better places. Coffee is mediocre at best, and is probably instant coffee. The waffle was decent, but fairly dry too. They also serve everything with paper cutlery and plates, and plastic cups. Do not recommend

04/04/2025: Scrivo questa recensione un po’ a malincuore, dato che siamo tornati con amici. La prima esperienza con il menù autunnale era stata favolosa, ma, ahimè, con il menù Orobie non ho provato le stesse emozioni. In fase di prenotazione avevamo deciso di ordinare il menù tradizionale per noi e il menù Orobie per l’altra coppia (regalo di compleanno realizzato con un voucher). Successivamente, ci hanno ricontattato comunicandoci che tutti e quattro avremmo dovuto prendere lo stesso menù. Abbiamo accettato, sebbene fossi perplesso, e purtroppo questa non è stata l’unica nota dolente della serata. La proposta di menù prevedeva, a titolo di aperitivo, una bollicina (Vino Spumante a 48€ per 4 calici), una cifra esorbitante! Dall’esperienza da conto stellato, le prime tre portate sono state eccellenti, ma da lì in poi la qualità è crollata fino al dessert: un risotto freddo, sebbene dalla giusta consistenza; un brodo di gallina vecchia con chicche poco riuscite (si percepiva solo il sapore di pepe e rapa); la carne, sfortunatamente, era un chewing-gum, sebbene la bernaise fosse ottima; e il dolce, tanto decantato, aveva solamente il sapore di cioccolato. Almeno il pane e il burro erano ottimi. La sorpresa finale sul conto è stata un calice di bollicina al modico prezzo di 30€, una cifra che non si giustifica. Che dire? Eravamo soddisfatti la prima volta, ma questa esperienza mi ha fatto molto ricredere. Spendere quasi 640€ per 4 persone, per il rapporto qualità/prezzo visto, non vale assolutamente la pena. Sono davvero deluso e non solo non ritornerei, ma consiglio di cercare locali migliori, dove si mangia bene e si trasmettono vere emozioni attraverso il cibo.

25/01/2025: Non esiste votazione più alta sé no l’avrei sicuramente messa. Esperienza indescrivibile, sapori che chiaramente a casa non si ha la possibilità di sentire e provarli in un posto così presentati così bene con la bravura di tutti lo staff è quasi un onore. Prodotti a dir poco di eccellenza non esistono abbastanza aggettivi di complimenti per riuscire a descrivere la serata stupenda che abbiamo passato

18/01/2025: Mezz’ora di ritardo e alla consegna mancava una pizza, chiamiamo la pizzeria chiedendo se fosse normale che ci fossero 30 minuti di ritardo e una pizza mancante e nonostante i diversi disguidi farci pagare il prezzo per intero e la ragazza che risponde al telefono sembrava scazzata dicendo che non è lei che decide.. e quindi? Dillo al tuo titolare invece di rispondere scazzata e volermi quasi chiudere il telefono in faccia..

Nice atmosphere, you feel at home. ...I don't understand the negative reviews....if you're looking for a refined place, there are plenty of cool restaurants in the area.

29/12/2024: Chiesto un aperitivo a base di salumi e formaggi. Si presentano ai tavoli con posate, bicchieri e tovaglioli. Chiediamo anche dei piattini per dividere gli affettati e ci viene comunicato che così dobbiamo pagare anche il coperto. Va bene. Siamo 5. Due piatti di affettato, due piatti di formaggi. Tutti abbastanza scarichi ma buoni. Vino e acqua. A conti fatti euro 120. Alche la signora, Ancor prima di sentire le mie rimostranze, sgamata, mi dice che abbiamo mangiato tanto pane!!!!!!! Vi auguro un futuro. Senza di me e senza persone che potevo portare...

22/05/2025: I do not recommend it at all for eating, especially if you are a tourist. I have been in Italy for a month and have visited about 20 bars and cafes, and this was without a doubt the worst. It is very expensive for what it offers. I do not recommend it if you want to eat well and feel full. I recommend it only in case you are waiting for the train, because it is located just outside the Treviglio station. It is absurd that they present you with a €5 bill for a sandwich or a piadina. The service is good and the environment is cozy, but the food is not worth it.
