14/05/2025: I could start by explaining where and how he chooses the meat, I could tell you about the meticulousness with which he chooses the type of bread best suited to his burgers, or I could tell you about how tempted I was to ask for a piece of raw sausage, because it was so good... instead I'll tell you that I wanted to post a photo but after the first bite I couldn't stay less than two centimeters away from that explosion of joy and egg yolk that was my sandwich. I discovered Otto Kraus by chance, on a business trip to Genoa and, please, for your own good, don't miss the chance to taste and try this type of approach to burgers. Truly one of the best I've ever tasted. And don't even consider the negative comments, the helpfulness and kindness of the owner are values ​​that are hard to find nowadays, even for those who work in contact with the public.

07/05/2025: Embarrassing is an understatement, order accepted on deliveroo, after 1 hour and a half of waiting they call me to tell me that the restaurant has closed and the rider is there outside the restaurant, you are unspeakable

09/12/2025: I received a terrible welcome, the food was mediocre, though made with decent ingredients, and the atmosphere was 40 years old. For the same money, I could eat elsewhere and be treated much better.

30/11/2025: Just seeing how long-time customers have been treated is enough to make me realize that this will be the first and last time I'll ever set foot here. This is definitely not the case.

02/02/2026: We went for dinner on a friend's recommendation. The place was empty except for one table, but the service was incredibly slow. The waitress was friendly, but we had a long wait, even for dessert (which melted on the hot plate). Overall, the place was clean, and the pizza was okay. A Diavola, Coke, Meringue pie, and cover charge were €19.

09/01/2026: I celebrated a birthday yesterday at Pizzeria Oltre Mare, and the experience was truly excellent. The staff was extremely helpful from the start: they let us set up the room with our decorations and were very understanding about the timing, given that we and the birthday boy arrived a little late. We were able to arrange the tables however we liked, which made the atmosphere even more welcoming for the party. When it came time for the cake, they brought it to our table with all the necessary accessories, impeccably. The pizzas were delicious, and the waiters were kind, attentive, and truly professional. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff for helping make the evening special. Highly recommended!

01/01/2026: Terrible service, cold pizzas not delivered by the delivery driver, an hour late!! (We had to go get them ourselves), and on top of that, the wrong pizzas... They didn't even give us a bottle of water to apologize for the inconvenience. We went back to have the wrong pizzas remade, and they refused to do it unless we specifically asked!! I recommend you change your job!

16/11/2025: 2025.11.02 We returned after about a year and had a great time under the new management. From the ravioli to the dessert, everything was excellent, with impeccable service. Even the roaring fireplace kept us company. 2024 It's always a pleasure for the taste buds, the eyes, and the appetite to come here. The peach ravioli were superb, and the cod was excellent, but just a little too salty. The service was friendly and courteous.

30/12/2025: A simple place, the owner doesn't put grated cheese on the table, she prefers to put it on herself, from Monday to Thursday only at lunchtime she offers a fixed menu, the first and second courses don't vary.

12/01/2026: I don't recommend the Surprise Bag from Too Good to Go. A piece of cheese focaccia (very salty) and a bit of sad cod. On Too Good to Go, they write: "Curious to know what you can find in your Surprise Bag? At O Tortâ, you can find mixed vegetable pies, focaccias, farinatas, and other deli products." And is this what they offer? In all the other bakeries and delis, I've found so many varied and delicious products, because they really try to entice you to buy these bags to reduce waste.

22/07/2025: I've tried almost all of their products, and I have to say they're excellent!! The farinata, focaccia, and savory pies are the best I've ever had, and the focaccia pizzata is undoubtedly the best in Genoa.

01/02/2026: We had a pretty good time; the main courses, in our opinion, were the best. For the price, it's good, although the desserts leave something to be desired. Furthermore, we've noticed that the quality has deteriorated over time.

11/12/2025: Extremely slow and opaque service. I waited over an hour for a few slices of focaccia. I left without eating.

02/12/2025: Cute little place with self-service or takeout! I tried the cheese focaccia, the red one with olives, and the farinata. Overall, the toppings are a bit lacking in some places, and the farinata is dry, especially the cheesecake. But overall, it's good! Competitive prices, which is always a plus! Small interior and no restroom.

30/12/2025: Excellent experience. The pizza was absolutely sublime, perfectly cooked with high-quality ingredients. The service was attentive, friendly, and professional, making us feel genuinely welcome. The atmosphere is warm and family-oriented, relaxed and authentic. A place where you can really enjoy good food and feel at home. Highly recommended.

18/10/2025: The cappuccino was pretty good, the frozen brioche was decent. I don't understand why the brioches aren't croissant-shaped anymore but round ones!

16/08/2025: A shameful aperitivo. The cocktails seemed to be made by a schoolboy and were a complete disaster (the Negroni was served without even a slice of orange). Not to mention the platter (€15 including a drink!): a jumble of pieces of focaccia of various flavors, half-dried, obviously leftovers from the day, covered in some rather sad cold cuts. An experience not to be repeated... Food: 1/5 | Service: 1/5 | Ambience: 1/5 I'm echoing a customer's experience and thank him for taking the words right out of my mouth. He put down on paper the same experience I had last night. The owner was rude even in the morning when we were paying, he left us waiting because a friend had called him and then left. I STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE.

18/01/2026: I have to say I was disappointed. I was expecting an aperitif with appetizers, but the main course had to be ordered separately... Not exactly Sicilian spirit. The main course was also quite good, but for me, an aperitif already includes appetizers.

17/01/2026: Returning after a few years, I found everything had unfortunately deteriorated. It's a shame... I hope it can return to the place it was a few years ago. This review is meant to encourage improvement.

26/02/2026: I should start by saying that I only had a ginseng and was offered onion focaccia. I had a great time. The atmosphere is very refined, the owner is friendly, and the prices are reasonable. Recommended. P.S. I reserve the right to change my rating on the food as soon as I have the chance to try something else.

01/01/2026: This was by far our favorite place in Genoa. The service was incredibly fast and the value for money was amazing: for €15 per person, we each got a cocktail, a whole pizza, fries, and lots of appetizers (see photo). The place is very nice, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the servers are really friendly. We highly recommend it.

12/12/2025: Typical city trattoria, very good food, menu like you would at home but cooked and presented well, we had a good time and were well served.
