29/06/2025: Delicious apericena. Very good food, very large portions. Great place, worth recommending. This is how apericena should look like. Unfortunately, many places nowadays serve just anything. Just Balilla keeps the level. After dinner there, you leave full and satisfied - and this is how it should look in Italy. Greetings from Poland :)

18/05/2025: A simple and refined environment. The dishes taste not only good, but also passionate (you can feel the love and dedication that the two young chefs put into all the courses). The ingredients are of excellent quality. Super super highly recommended!!!

15/06/2025: Fresh and varied menu, contemporary cuisine for complete meals at a good price. Breaded sardines and buttered chard (11€) grilled chicken with a choice of side dish (10€). The wine list offers bottles and glasses in addition to the house wine. The quartino is a bit expensive at 6€. Cover charge 2€ (mixed plate of bread and focaccia made by them), 1.50€ for coffee and 2€ for water. We had lunch outside, in the shade in a quiet street. Excellent combination of factors that guaranteed a satisfying meal and a very pleasant break. No problem for separate bills at the cashier. Fast service.

30/06/2025: Trattoria with "old style" proposals, the dishes are good and the quality/price ratio is advantageous. It's a pity about the "modern" restyling, a more dated environment and in keeping with the history of the place would be more welcoming, warm and characteristic. The only flaw that affects the service: the hot drinks because (the very kind girl who served us told us) the fridge is not powerful enough.

17/06/2025: Ristorante trattoria situata a San Lorenzo. Cibo nella media, nulla di entusiasmante. Pansotti e trofie deludenti, buona la carne. Peccato per il servizio, lento e confusionario. Piatti serviti con lunghi tempi d’attesa e in momenti diversi lasciando diversi commensali senza mangiare. Cameriere gentili. Consigliato per i prezzi bassi per una cena senza pretese

10/06/2025: Very quiet place located in the historic alleys of Genoa, we ordered a cup of fried food and it was really good, it wasn't greasy at all and the batter was perfectly crispy, pansotti and trofie were truly exceptional. The waitress was really kind, a place where you feel at home. Normal prices, we didn't spend much.

01/07/2025: Passing through Manesseno for lunch we looked for a place to eat, "le due zie" intrigued us. The place is not great in terms of location but it is still welcoming, like the "zie". Given the strong heat and the little hunger, I took a first course because I wanted to try the mandilli with pesto and my partner a second course with side dish. Well definitely happy with the choice, excellent pesto 😊!! My partner also really enjoyed his dish. If you are in the area, Highly recommended!! Price 10+

06/07/2025: The place is not very easy to reach with very few parking possibilities. The atmosphere is that of a small and familiar tavern. Gigino, the owner, is welcoming and friendly towards the guests. The meat dishes are qualitatively good but not excellent. What personally lowers the evaluation is the decidedly too high price of some dishes, in particular a plate of fried mushrooms (which tastes like fried food but not like mushrooms) €25! I think it is excessive. Overall good but prices higher than average and for the same quality.

21/06/2025: Osteria Gigino is a somewhat crowded place (we are in Genoa 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿..), dalla Castagna, a very hospitable environment, and the must is the meat, the Florentine steaks, obviously the price is based on the quality, very high, of the products... but there are also other menus for various needs... the prices are proportionate to the offer, very satisfying, the staff is very competent and helpful, it deserves a second visit, and, for those who like meat, it's in their own.

18/06/2025: A local tip led me to this pranzo: great fried anchovies, pasta del giorno, etc. Friendly service. Local jam and gin, etc., are also available for purchase. Great view all the way to Genova. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! 👍
