We found it by chance while looking for a place to have breakfast with the family, and discovered an excellent artisanal pastry shop with friendly, helpful staff. We especially recommend the Sfogliatelle Frolle, which are definitely out of the area but delicious!

Very friendly and English speaking staff (I haven't encountered this in too many places in Italy). It's a chic cafe with above average sweets (I haven't had a dessert that would knock me over in Genoa yet and I've tried a few pastries).

22/07/2026: Two Fridays ago, I spent a truly special evening with nine of my friends: a simple dinner filled with conversation and laughter. We all had pizza, mine in the photo, with red stracchino and raw ham: the bomb! Super tasty and huge, just how I like it. Kudos to the waiter, who remembered everything without writing anything down. His precision makes all the difference and makes you feel cared for. We'll definitely be back. In the summer, with the sea right in front of you, it's wonderful.
18/07/2026: It had been many years since I had been to 5 Maggio, where I had been a regular customer in the past, and wanting to take a dip in my youth, I decided with my husband to return. It was better not to go and preserve the good memories. The first thing I noticed was that they no longer give the welcome glass I was used to, and then the prices were exaggerated in my opinion. To be clear, I spent less in Loano last month ordering the same things. 2 pizzas, 1 water and 1 small beer 39 euros.

20/06/2026: The misto pesce marinato was super fresh and the off-menu lobster linguine was excellent. Just one tip: ask the price on the off-menu dishes beforehand, as they can run a bit pricey.
18/06/2026: The seafood appetizers and first courses are excellent and slightly cheaper than the waterfront restaurants. I recommend the mixed seafood appetizer (€13) and the octopus and potatoes (€12), which were incredibly tender. The only downside is that we ate in the evening in the square, and it was a shame to have insects practically inside our plates; each outdoor table has its own light that attracts them… I recommend mosquito coils or similar.
