08/12/2025: I ordered a pizza (to choose from 5 flavors, two of which with tuna), they brought me a pre-packaged 20x30cm pinsa, at the price of a gourmet pizza; the dessert, passed off as fresh, was clearly industrial, awful!
18/11/2025: A focaccia with two pieces of mozzarella and three slices of prosciutto cost the same as sitting down at a restaurant. Nice atmosphere and clean bathrooms. Convenient for getting to Civita, but otherwise, it's best to skip it.

I think Cannavacciuolo served very little purpose.
08/12/2025: The staff was not at all attentive. We ordered an Onassis appetizer for two, but instead they brought us peppered mussels, which they called soutè (a very different dish from the one served), and tomato rice with mussels, clams, and squid, which they had the nerve to call seafood risotto (also a very different dish from the one served). There's a lot of culinary confusion and poor quality. Avoid.

26/10/2025: A great discovery (thanks to The Fork!): delicious fried food, excellent pinsa, so many flavors to choose from, from appetizer to dessert, and friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended.
19/08/2025: We ate on the terrace, in a cool and very quiet atmosphere. The guys who run the place are all delightful, professional in their service, and excellent in the kitchen. I highly recommend this pizzeria with its wide variety of menu choices. Everything was excellent.
We'll definitely be back.

01/09/2025: Poor quality food. I ate there today. I got a €5 nugget box with only five nuggets (which had a strange taste), chips (some raw), and a Sprite. I even found a hair in the chips.

Food: Very, very questionable. I got a nugget box, roughly 5 nuggets with chips underneath, some of them raw and with a hair inside. Let's not even talk about the sauces. The service told us to get a can, which might be fine, but I don't like it that way, and it seems highly inappropriate, even if we're at a fast food joint. I even felt sick afterwards. I wouldn't recommend it.

22/12/2025: I came to eat here with my family. We had an appetizer of mixed fried food, and I have to say, it was very good. My dad had the picanha, which was delicious. The highlight is the pizza, delicious and not too heavy (I had the mimosa, which was very good), not to mention the desserts, which were delicious, especially the Sicilian cannoli. The waitress was friendly and very welcoming. I had the opportunity to speak with the pizza chef, and I have to say, he puts his heart and soul into what he does. I have to say, the owner is amazing; she makes you feel right at home. We'll definitely be back.

16/11/2025: Too bad, I consumed food, but they don't have a bathroom. I believe that by law, all establishments in Italy that offer drink-and-drink service must have one. When I asked, they told me that there are bathrooms next door, outside the establishment. It's a shame, though, that they charge a fee.
I understand allowing only customers to use the bathroom, but at least that should be guaranteed. It's a shame, especially because it's a very welcoming place. Let's hope for improvement.

06/12/2025: Terrible, I can't give it a -5 star. If you want to make a bread platter, this is the right place. Ordered a platter for two: 4 slices of poor quality mortadella, 3 pieces of speck, 2 green olives, of course there are 2 of you, one each🤨,, 4 pieces of aubergine, 4 transparent slices of cheese, then a lot of bread passed for bruschetta. Poor service like the raw material, in 2 hours 40 people were lost... 40aaaaaaaa (counted) for the wait, that's money. The staff consists of 3 people, one at the cash register / bar, one who makes these "wonderful" platters and a girl lost in the space who serves at the tables. In the land of cured meats and cheeses this deserves 1st place for shame.
28/09/2025: The drinks were really good, but the service was quite slow. We ordered a large platter, which, in my opinion, wasn't large at all and was overpriced for what was on offer, although the quality of the products was quite good. Note that bread or focaccia are not served to accompany the cured meats and cheeses: to get them, you must order a white pinsa separately (for an extra charge), otherwise you have to eat them yourself.
Another negative was the bill: it wasn't possible to split it based on what each person consumed (personal drinks plus the portion of the platter). In the end, only one person had to pay the full amount, as this was considered "too complicated."
If you're just looking for a drink, I recommend it, as they're truly excellent. If you're planning on a full aperitivo with something to eat, honestly, there are better options in the area with a more affordable quality/price ratio.

28/11/2025: I didn't want to write this review, to avoid an unfavorable judgment, I'll just say that the food is neither good nor bad, a bit expensive for the place, but what strikes me most is the impolite way of responding to reviews, I worked in commerce.....the customer is always right...... Reply to your usual rude response.....I wish you all the best, you need it.......I also think you're not very well......get some treatment.
09/11/2025: 3 stars so as not to be too punitive. As a business owner, I know how much a negative comment can weigh on someone who is committed to hard work, but after reading the managers' responses, I decided to intervene. Is it possible that, following the numerous complaints about the entrees, which I agree with, you haven't thought about what to improve? That perhaps something is wrong? Too much starch and ZERO flavor for the truffle and porcini mushroom pici. Excellent grilled food. But above all, NEVER respond to reviews in this tone, even if it's rude, you only make the situation worse. If you're not interested in understanding and improving, so be it. But the entrees are just plain bad—among the worst I've ever eaten—and the cheeses are better left alone, and don't bring up the same old story about them being handmade on site. Polite staff. I hope this review helps us improve.

La Piazzetta

21/10/2025: We stopped at "La Piazzetta" for a quick lunch, tempted by the idea of soups, but the experience was extremely disappointing and unpleasant, to say the least.
The Food: Minimal Portions at Exorbitant Prices
The main problem is the quality-price ratio and, above all, the quantity. We ordered soups that were listed at a whopping €12 each, a price one would expect from a good restaurant in Civita di Bagnoregio. Instead, we were served two tiny bowls, barely 50% full. You can clearly see from the photos the size of the bowl in relation to the spoon, and you can still see the level of filling, which was undoubtedly also increased by moving the spoon while eating. While reasonably good, the quantity was unacceptable for a first course, almost a joke, and definitely not in line with the price. Furthermore, one of the two dishes was the wrong one: a different legume than the one ordered was served.
To accompany our meal, we ordered rosemary focaccia, which was also a sore point: clearly not artisanal, but a commercial product that was improperly reheated, resulting in it being practically cold and hard.
The Setting: A Bar/Diner with Restaurant Pretensions
La "Piazzetta" presents itself as a bar/diner, not a proper restaurant, but charges high prices. The location is typical, but the place even shares a bathroom (with a huge line!) with the nearby souvenir shop. The interior is cramped, with very few seats, uncomfortable and poorly maintained.
The Service: Elusive Staff
The staff was elusive and inattentive. The soup mistake and the general service were not commensurate with the price paid. It's unacceptable that, despite all these structural flaws (inconvenient location, lack of attention to the interior), the place doesn't even focus on the quality or quantity of the food.
In Conclusion:
We strongly advise against this place. €12 for a "sample" of soup in such a mediocre setting is an unjustified price. "La Piazzetta" exploits its location in Civita di Bagnoregio without offering anything remotely acceptable in terms of food, service, or ambiance. A real tourist trap, to be avoided.
