28/11/2025: I didn't want to write this review, to avoid an unfavorable judgment, I'll just say that the food is neither good nor bad, a bit expensive for the place, but what strikes me most is the impolite way of responding to reviews, I worked in commerce.....the customer is always right...... Reply to your usual rude response.....I wish you all the best, you need it.......I also think you're not very well......get some treatment.

09/11/2025: 3 stars so as not to be too punitive. As a business owner, I know how much a negative comment can weigh on someone who is committed to hard work, but after reading the managers' responses, I decided to intervene. Is it possible that, following the numerous complaints about the entrees, which I agree with, you haven't thought about what to improve? That perhaps something is wrong? Too much starch and ZERO flavor for the truffle and porcini mushroom pici. Excellent grilled food. But above all, NEVER respond to reviews in this tone, even if it's rude, you only make the situation worse. If you're not interested in understanding and improving, so be it. But the entrees are just plain bad—among the worst I've ever eaten—and the cheeses are better left alone, and don't bring up the same old story about them being handmade on site. Polite staff. I hope this review helps us improve.

15/11/2025: First point: Bring someone who can speak Italian, otherwise it'll be difficult to communicate. Second point: A 6-year-old who only eats nuvolette and a roll can't afford to pay for a full menu, the reason being: "He's taller than 1.20 meters." Third point: At least make sure all those €27.90 are worth it.

01/11/2025: Total confusion, decent food, terrible service, in my opinion the waiters don't even know why they're there... at the entrance a 20 minute queue to find out which table we were assigned... change your job

18/12/2025: The staff, to say the least, was slow. We arrived and the waitress told us there were no free tables. We immediately spotted one that just needed clearing. We sat down and, after repeatedly asking to have it cleared and to order, decided to leave. We sat for 45 minutes and were ignored. Still, I'm not surprised. It's typical Viterbo style.

08/12/2025: The staff was completely improvised and incapable of organizing a service worthy of such. Customers were left abandoned at their tables, only managing to get some of their orders after extremely long waits and repeated requests... after over an hour, we left without having eaten. Highly discouraged.

19/09/2025: It's a small refreshment point inside a garden where many events are held.

25/05/2025: The setting is enchanting and the staff is very kind and eager, perhaps under-numbered (?). It's a shame to waste the opportunity with an ordinary choice of dishes and sad cuisine :-(

07/09/2025: Complete rip-off: 2 coffees, 1 iced tea, and a spritzer for €34.50. The receipt doesn't even show how much that amounts to. Don't go there.

09/11/2025: The bar experience in October destroyed the excellent vibe that ORTE offered us. We intended to have a small refreshing (a small salad 6€, one pannini sandwiches 6€ and one small pizza 9€, plus a bottle of a normal water). The service was polite (offered by the owner's son - obviously under a closed dominant unpleasant supervision from his indian father). The food preparation took extremely long (~1h), despite of few clients. It really put us over the parking limit, rushing for eating the food and paying fast. The food itself was absolutely basic, under mediocre. The big disappointment was the bill: a bottle of water 6€ (not listed in the menu), 3x2€ couvert (also not listed in the menu) for a small table in the street, paying couvert similar to a medium restaurant in Rome, plus 1€ extra payment for no reason and on the top asking if we want to tip the boy. So rude not letting us to have this initiative/decision! When I realised that the bill was overrated and not containing the values of individual items, the owner recognised only charging 1€ extra, but had no arguments for not listing completely the couverter and drinks prices. Obviously a place of eluding taxes and of non-transparent services. Going to Italy for meetings italian notorious hospitality and to end-up in an authentic Indian patriarchal bar (restaurant wannabe), it definitely infuriated us. A tourist trap. Never back there, despite of fabulous vibe of Orte! Later edit: Bar CENTRAL was not closed in October for maintainance. Therefore I add two more photos: 1) with you son serving the clients and 2) with your menu at our table to prove that you had indeed opened on 6.Oct.

01/11/2025: We wanted to grab a coffee on our way back and stumbled upon this bar. The hot chocolate was absolutely divine!! And the owners are super friendly and welcoming ☺️

03/11/2025: Unfortunately, I've been there again, and unfortunately, the rude, dyed-blonde lady is still there, alive and well. Nothing's changed... still in her place...

09/05/2025: Queríamos dos helados y una botella de agua. El camarero te dice que pidas otra cosa : chocolate frappe y una botella de agua. Nos costó 35 euros más cinco de propina que consideró el camarero.. ni en la mejor cafetería de Plaza de España te cuesta tanto …

23/04/2025: Muy mala experiencia. El mesero nos estafó, trajo cosas que no le pedimos y otras de tamaños que no estaban en el menú más grandes para cobrar más. Al final pidió una propina obligada y en cash. Para nunca volver ya que ellos saben que uno como turista no hace tanto reclamo por no conocer el detalle de letra menuda. Recomiendo evitar este lugar al 100%.
