Here, to welcome us, the extraordinary “young ladies” Silvia and Flora: two souls that smell of passion, hospitality and love for quality raw materials. Every day of the week, in this place, has the flavor of a Sunday lunch, regardless of the weather. The welcome with a potato and white truffle soup was the first, tender cuddle that confirmed the feeling of being in the right place, from the first moment. And then the sea bass fillet… a triumph of simplicity executed to perfection. Dear Silvia and Flora, I can't wait to come back and visit you. Thank you so much.

22/05/2025: I went back after years, and I ate the roast suckling pig like the last time. I found that yes, it was still as good as the last time. As an appetizer we took the cold cuts and cheese board. Few cheeses, compared to the cost of the tray. The cold cuts were very good. As a side dish the beans were excellent, the roast potatoes a little less so. The atmosphere was a little dark, but cheered by a fireplace where the meats were grilled. We will return for the first courses.

We discovered Osteria SanMarzano in a quieter area of ​​Rome, away from the chaos of the center, and it turned out to be an excellent choice! The place is very clean and well-kept, with a welcoming and familiar atmosphere that conquers from the first moment. We started with a truly exceptional cold cuts platter: a selection of the highest quality, served with attention and taste. For the first course we followed the advice of the staff, always kind and prepared, and we tried the matriciana, a great classic of the Roman tradition: simply excellent, tasty and perfectly balanced. An osteria that absolutely deserves a visit, even if outside the historic center. An authentic pearl of Roman cuisine.

11/05/2025: Good restaurant, recommended. I have never eaten such a good and crunchy GIUDIA-STYLE ARTICHOKE. The first and second courses of meat are good. The chicken cuts are also excellent. A bit of confusion on Saturday evening, but it's ok. Friendly, smiling and helpful staff. We will gladly return.

28/05/2025: It's been a few weeks since my experience at this place, which I searched meticulously in Rome, and I have to say that it was one of the best choices I've ever made — as well as a rather unique offer for the city. Maybe I would see the sign again, only because at first glance it's hard to spot it without fail if you don't know where to look. Let's get to dinner: there were three of us and we opted for the higher-end AYCE menu among the three available options. In the end, it turned out to be the most sensible choice: with a few euros more than the other two, it gave us the freedom to order repeatedly according to our needs — perfect for three young men who were very hungry and wanted to enjoy meat without worries. The only constraint was that we all had to order the same type of menu at the table, but it's an understandable rule, designed to facilitate service during dinner. What struck me even more was the service in the dining room: attentive, present, able to guide you in the right choice with an expert eye and great attention to avoiding food waste - a real risk in AYCE formats. Instead, here everything is calibrated to make you live a complete experience, enhanced by the excellent quality of the meat and the cuisine that treats it with care and respect. The offer is truly unique: an AYCE of meat of this level is a decidedly rare proposal in Rome, where similar formats are much more common for sushi or ethnic cuisines. Here, however, you can eat freely and abundantly, but without sacrificing quality - a balance that is far from obvious. Finally, the desserts: one better than the other, at least according to the other diners! Unfortunately, I was unable to try them due to some dietary restrictions at that time. But the manager, very kind, promised me that he will be happy to wait for me for a round only of desserts as soon as I can return to gorge on those too!
