12/11/2025: The hotel itself and the room are very nice, spacious, and equipped with everything you need. The furnishings are quite luxurious, but some parts are also a bit dated (e.g., the mirror in the bathroom was fogged up, and the spa area in general is showing its age; some of the showers weren't working properly, and the sauna is quite old and small—it can comfortably fit about four people sitting down, but it gets cramped with more). However, other areas were very nice and more modern (e.g., the lobby, breakfast area, suites, and the lounge area in the room). The view from the spa area on the 5th floor is beautiful, both during the day and at night. The minibar in the room has something for everyone and is very reasonably priced. Although my room faced the pedestrian walkway, it was very quiet throughout. The bed was very comfortable and came with an extra pillow. Breakfast was varied, with bread, rolls, pancakes and other pastries, eggs, a rather small selection of cold cuts, various muesli options, fresh fruit and vegetables, juices, and a good selection of coffees and teas. A highlight for me was the massage with Elisabeth at the spa; a visit to her is definitely worthwhile. The reception staff were also extremely friendly and accommodating, and a late check-out was possible without any problems or extra charge. I was also able to leave my luggage at reception while I went out for lunch. All of this made my stay at the Hotel Krone a very pleasant experience, and I would highly recommend it.

31/10/2025: One of the few restaurants open today in San Candido for lunch. The exterior was decorated in Halloween style. The Milanese cutlet (€18) was missing its breading, which was full of oil. The pasta (€16) was served without cheese, which you have to ask for at the table. The waiters, though they tried to be polite, showed a certain impatience with customers.

30/07/2025: Da molti anni mi reco in questo posto molto gradevole come panorama.Nei recenti anni sono stati fatti dei miglioramenti logistici ( bagni e nuovi locali) ma purtroppo si è via via è sempre più persa la qualità ( ad esempio appena sufficiente lo spezzatino di cervo, i canederli, la cotoletta impregnata di olio con patate salatissime) e la quantità (modeste porzioni anche nella pasta vedi pasta al ragù selvaggina) dei piatti.I prezzi in correlazione appaiono così eccessivi ( peraltro fanno pagare anche l' acqua di rubinetto in brocca 2 euro causa anche questo di parecchie proteste sentite in loco). Obbiettivamente un vero peccato

22/07/2025: Dopo una bella passeggiata ci siamo fermati qui. Abbiamo mangiato divinamente. Polenta con i funghi buonissima, tagliatelle con selvaggina meravigliose, carne ottima. Veramente buono

30/11/2025: It's a guarantee. Every time I go to Bolzano, I absolutely must stop at this restaurant. Quality food and helpful, courteous staff.

21/10/2025: A very welcoming atmosphere, finally cloth napkins, excellent classic pizza (not gourmet or Neapolitan-style), long-standing, very professional owners (sometimes lacking a smile). Highly recommended if you're looking for atmosphere and classic pizza (in my experience, but there's also cuisine)!

28/09/2025: The pizza is highly recommended. The atmosphere is lovely and very well-maintained. Unfortunately, we felt rather intrusive as guests. The service, I think it was the owners, was unfortunately very dismissive and made you feel unwelcome. We certainly won't be coming back.

29/07/2025: Our friends stayed at this hotel during the winter, therefor me, my wife and another couple decided to check the hotel for our future trips. We live in Miami and come to Italy, San Cassiano area specifically, to hide from the Sumer heat in Miami. We called in advance few days prior and inquired about the massages and the dinner. What is the better way to check the hotel?! We reserved massages and reserved the dinner table. My wife called several times to confirm the pricing. The answer was, because we were not staying at the hotel we just “pay for the massages and the dinner”. After getting very mediocre massages in the not very clean congested spa and paying the bills at the spa, we proceeded upstairs to go to the restaurant, when we were informed about paying another 70 euros per person “for the entry”. This was out of line and a total surprise to us. The Front Desk deputy manager was very rude. We asked for the Manager to stop by. Michelle Albertelli was not helpful at all. We obviously did not stay for dinner and left. This is the LHW? This is the Service? We did not go to the restaurant and obviously did look at the rooms for the future, but, though they claimed that the hotel was renovated, judging by the Spa, it was filthy. The showers, the tiny lockers, toilets were filthy. The important thing is that the Front Desk people were rude. It should never happen at LHW property! 0 ⭐️!

29/07/2025: This property may carry the Leading Hotels of the World label, but unfortunately, the experience fell far short of that standard. Setting and decor is old and rundown , the service philosophy seems to revolve around charging extra for absolutely everything — often without warning. From basic amenities to services you’d reasonably expect to be included in a hotel of this caliber, nearly everything comes with an unexpected fee. Instead of feeling pampered, you feel like you're being upsold at every turn. It’s disappointing and leaves a sour taste. Luxury isn’t just about the look — it’s about the guest experience. And here, that experience feels transactional, not hospitable. Definitely not the seamless, elevated stay one would expect from a member of LHW. Extremely underwhelming spa and massage experience. The massage was poorly executed, felt rushed, and completely lacked any professionalism or technique. The spa area itself is tiny and cramped, offering none of the comfort or luxury you would expect. The pool is small and uninviting, the showers are bare — no shampoo, conditioner, or body products provided. No brushes, no hair products, no amenities at all. Everything felt like an afterthought. This is not a relaxing or rejuvenating environment by any standard. Definitely not worth the cost or the time. Would not return or recommend. But the worse was interaction with few members of the staff that insisted on changing us the fee for spa entrance after we paid 150 euro for our poor massages for each and were planning to have dinner for 4 right after. When we called 4 to 5 days in advance, we were told by two staff members that there was no separate entrance fee if you’re having a spa treatment or dinner. We were planning to have both. On the way out of the spa we were asked to pay another 300 for entrance to the “ magnificent “ spa. They could not produce any email confirmation re those charges. We left the hotel very disappointed.

28/09/2025: Best food on the way south. Exceptional value for money. Don't be intimidated by the hundreds of trucks! Top!!! Breakfast espresso and fresh croissants are amazing!!!

07/11/2025: One of the few traditional restaurants left in Eppan, without any pretension. From the workers' menu to the regular menu, there's something for everyone. The pizza is exactly how a pizza should be: thin crust and plenty of toppings. Excellent value for money. If you want a thick crust, look for a "Pizza al taglio." Of course, the service is also praised. Cheers!

25/10/2025: Very good restaurant at the foot of the funicular. You might think it's a tourist trap, but it's not at all. The food is good; it's not haute cuisine, but it's not completely industrial. The staff is friendly and helpful. I tried a specialty dish and it was good. Good value for money with a beautiful view. I recommend it.

16/10/2025: We were there on a sunny autumn day. The service was super friendly and quick, the food was excellent, and the view was breathtaking. We had dumplings and Wiener Schnitzel. We almost went to another restaurant because of the mixed reviews. Luckily, we were spontaneously swayed by the busy sun terrace.

11/10/2025: We wouldn't normally visit a restaurant or pizzeria like this, but it was a time when most restaurants in Merano were still closed or had already closed. The restaurant feels more like a cafeteria, is quite outdated, and could certainly use a renovation. We ordered two pizzas – both were delicious and crispy. The server was very nice, although there was a bit of a language barrier.

12/09/2025: Don't be put off by the look of the place. Great food and good prices. The spaghetti bolognese could be a bit bigger.
