14/10/2025: During my visit from September 14-21, 2025, I had a single room with half board. Three other friends stayed in one of the holiday apartments (3 rooms with shared bathroom and living room). A reasonable price comparable to an Alpine Club hut but considerably more comfortable; A simple but cozy room with a balcony, TV, wardrobe, and shower; A sauna area in the basement with a sauna, steam bath, whirlpool, Kneipp pool, and relaxation area; Half board with breakfast featuring muesli, fruit, bread, cold cuts, and jams; and Dinner usually included a salad buffet, primo (pasta, strudel, etc.), secondo (meat, fish), and dessert, although the latter three were varied and different every day during my week at the Jägerhof; a fairly full Sunday buffet; and one evening of a fantastic cheese tasting with fruit and jams. We were also lucky with the weather during the week: drizzle one day before breakfast, but otherwise, sunshine every day. The surrounding hiking area is relatively quiet, even away from the lifts and ski area above Reinswald. Except for the trails from Reinswald to the Latzfonser Kreuz and the Totenkirchl (and Villanderer), I hardly encountered any other hikers. The trails and ridges of Lorenzen-Schrotthorn-Pfannspitz-Jakobsspitz, Muttnellspitz-Hochscheibe-Schönjöchl-Gentersbergspitze-Leiterspitz, and Pfattenspitz-Getrumspitze were particularly pleasantly secluded. I'd love to come back and hope for good weather.

23/10/2025: A nice bar with a good cappuccino and a very friendly waiter, definitely worth recommending.

07/12/2025: Dinner for two, one dish and one pizza arrived within 10 minutes of each other, leaving us to eat alone. Little menu choice, and the pizza wasn't the best. I don't recommend it.

29/11/2025: We had two decent pizzas. The goulash and sausage were cold, not to mention the strudel was completely frozen. I wouldn't recommend it... For the food we ate, we were pretty overpriced.

08/12/2025: Everything good and affordable prices

19/11/2025: The staff is always very friendly and fast, which is not a given these days. The pizzas are always better. The food isn't overwhelming, but there's enough to suit every taste, and what's available is always excellent. I find the prices fair, not low but not excessive either. Let's just say that if they increased even a little, I'd turn up my nose, but I'd gladly return.

05/05/2025: Siamo finiti qui dopo la visita al lago di Carezza, il locale è molto vicino al parcheggio. Il cibo offerto è semplice ma gustoso, le pappardelle al ragù di cervo erano molto buone e gustose!

30/09/2025: Picturesque mountain setting in the Dolomites. Very welcoming proprietor and staff who speak Italian, German, and English. Clean rooms, decent breakfast buffet. Other meals available in the café.

11/09/2025: We stayed at this hotel for a few days last week. The owners' courtesy, kindness, and friendliness made our mini-vacation relaxing and carefree. THANK YOU!!!! The food was very good...super breakfast and delicious dinner, what can I say...highly recommended. A special mention to the people who work at this hotel...kind and thoughtful.

30/11/2025: Ordered two Baileys coffees, paid €5.40. Okay, I'm not arguing with the price, but I'm arguing with the fact that the addition didn't match the requested product. When asked if the original was used, the answer was yes. Now the question that comes to mind is, with pizzeria products, if they lose out for a few cents on such a poor product, what do they use? Obviously, it was obvious it wasn't the original product. It's a shame because it seems like a nice place.

28/11/2025: We have been working in the place for about 4 weeks, and will be there for another week. The food is good, the prices are reasonable. And the payment terminal sometimes doesn't work, now for about 3 days after the snowstorm. You can go to the ATM and it's no problem. Only idiots complain. Otherwise, a wonderful place, quiet - 1 road, what more at about 1300 m above sea level.

30/08/2025: Rude lady: When we asked, "Is there room for two or are you full?" she replied, "We're not full, but not today." And she sent us away!!! Totally rude.

27/08/2025: Good food with a set menu and reservations required in a fantastic, old-fashioned, yet immaculately kept location. The lady serving is very kind, and there's no wait. The only downside is not receiving a written bill, and having been there twice, I paid the same amount, even though we ordered less food and wine the second time. .

19/11/2025: Yes, a warm Italian atmosphere.

13/10/2025: It's not the place for a fancy dinner or a quick date, but it does its job perfectly. The pizza is good, fairly cheap, and the service is quick and unfussy. One of the few places where desserts aren't as expensive as a first course: €5 for a tiramisu. If I ever return to the Bolzano area, I know where I'll stop for a hearty lunch or dinner.

30/09/2025: Unfortunately, none of the dishes we ordered met our expectations. The carbonara was drowned in sauce, and the guanciale tasted like it had been cooked days earlier — far too crispy and it ruined the whole experience. The pizza with egg was absolutely inedible. On top of that, the waiters smiled in a forced way and kept insisting we order drinks, which made the atmosphere even more unpleasant. Overall, a disappointing experience.

25/09/2025: Cozy and nice restaurant. The staff was incredibly nice and friendly. The food was very good and the portions were generous. Very satisfied! I especially recommend the charcuterie board and the ravioli.

29/07/2025: Abbiamo preso l’ovovia da San Cassiano, ci siamo diretti verso il rifugio con mia moglie e nostro figlio di 3 anni , siamo riusciti ad arrivare con il passeggino (40 min circa) , un po’ di fatica ma una volta arrivati abbiamo preso due primi , veramente molto buoni, tagliatelle al pino mugo e canederli al burro!! Poi il dolce, Prezzo nella media , lo consiglio !! Anche perché è ad una distanza accettabile , vista molto bella.

12/06/2025: Come sempre quando siamo in alta badia un pranzo al Bioch non può mancare. Bella giornata di sole, a tavola ancora meglio. Penne alla Bioch e tagliata, un calice di vino, acqua e caffè. Prezzi da rifugio Alta Badia, comunque imperdibile

13/11/2025: The spaghetti alla carbonara turned out to be spaghetti with cream and cooked bacon. This dish should definitely not be advertised as carbonara. The wild boar pasta was also carelessly prepared and tasteless. The service was attentive, and the owner didn't charge me for my spaghetti, which I found very accommodating.

09/11/2025: Impeccable service and consistently excellent food at a more than fair price. Highly recommended for a business lunch or dinner. Perfect for those who appreciate an unconventional look and a fair price. Highly recommended.

21/10/2025: A simple, picture-perfect Italian trattoria. The food is delicious and traditional. Everything is very reasonably priced. We received friendly service and were delighted with the food. PS: Local artisans also dine here for lunch.

22/09/2025: A great place on the trail to recharge your batteries, eat something good, and rehydrate with a good beer. Friendly, helpful staff.
