15/03/2026: Terrible value for money. We had ribs and pappardelle with venison ragù. The pappardelle were disgusting, the pasta completely falling apart, and the ragù tasted like cheap supermarket ragù. The homemade desserts were the strudel, which I won't comment on as I'm not an expert, and the Chantilly cream cake, which tasted nothing like Chantilly cream; the cream tasted like buttercream. The atmosphere was very unique and charming, but it's a shame it's not being used properly. I definitely won't be returning.

23/02/2026: The restaurant was empty. But instead of just being allowed to have dessert, we were kicked out. Who does that?? We had lunch there two days earlier. Guests are not welcome here.

31/10/2025: The ambiance was lovely. Some of the prices were absolutely exorbitant. A frittata soup, which wasn't on the menu, cost €9.50. A sandwich bag cost €2.50 per person, even for children, and there was only a small bread basket for six people. Was the tip included in the price?

13/09/2025: Super cute little hut. There are only a few spots inside, but there are additional heated/covered spots in a sort of pavilion, and plenty of spots on the terrace, which has plenty of sunny spots. Highly recommended are the pasta in sage butter with poppy seeds and Parmesan, as well as the dumpling trio.

23/08/2025: A little-publicized hut we found on the way down to Plan after visiting Passo Sella. Simple and tasty food, very friendly staff, fair prices. Everything was delicious, especially the buckwheat cake, which we absolutely loved.

19/01/2026: I have been here more than 20 times, but I won’t be coming back anymore. The arrogance keeps growing, while everything else is declining. I used to enthusiastically recommend this place to others — not anymore. When you charge these prices, the whole experience matters. During my last visit, the turbot — a fish that is both expensive and deserving of respect — was literally torn apart and carelessly placed on the plate. It was served cold. Sadly, once a top destination, it now feels like a place you simply pass by.

Schaurhof is really great; we had a lovely meal, and there was a fantastic playground and indoor playroom for the kids! The food was amazing and the prices were great! 07/03/2026: The last time we were in Val Gardena we visited Medel. We did this time and will again when we are here! The food was delicious and its presentation well done - from the starters through the mains to the desserts. We can only recommend this restaurant!

09/03/2026: I rarely write reviews but this time I think it is the right thing to do. In past we visited this place and it was really good. However today’s visit was disappointing, food quality was the weakest point. I ordered a filet steak medium - first I was given well done then after talking to the waitress (who was very nice) I received steak that was rare but as everybody from my party was already finishing their meals I accepted it. The steak itself was supposed to be a filet well I don’t know what part of tenderloin it was but didn’t look like filet, it was unskined and with a lot of joints. Furthermore the meat was totally tasteless I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Other meals were just ok. Disappointing.

16/12/2025: Simply a special place you'll want to return to again and again – and for many good reasons. Every single member of the team is attentive, warm, and clearly passionate about what they do. The hotel itself has an incomparably beautiful atmosphere: designed with great attention to detail, superbly equipped, and impeccably maintained. The location right on the market square, in the heart of the city, is perfect. Our room was lovely and cozy (though a bit warm under the roof on that summer night). The breakfast was excellent and left nothing to be desired. You simply have to experience it for yourself – the Weisse Rössl is not just any hotel. We were particularly impressed by the successful blend of traditional charm and modern amenities. The photo art project was also fantastic: a breath of fresh, creative air amidst the historic charm! 😊 A heartfelt THANK YOU to the entire team for this special "Rössl feeling." We say quite clearly: GOODBYE! 😊 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

27/02/2026: We were there today and were unfortunately very disappointed. It started with a dirty table not being wiped down, which should be standard practice in any restaurant. The menus we received were covered in crumbs, grease stains, and other grime on the sides. The food was moderately disappointing. Other restaurants in the ski area offer significantly better value for money in terms of both taste and portion size. The plate of fried potatoes was two-thirds empty, and you could count the potatoes. You don't expect Michelin-starred cuisine on the slopes, but we were still disappointed overall. The service was a bit rushed and took our plates away while we were still chewing. Otherwise, it was okay. Prices are naturally a bit higher in a tourist area. But you get more for less on the mountain, where logistics are even more challenging. Therefore, I don't recommend this restaurant and suggest other restaurants on the mountain, although even there, some mountain huts exploit tourism. This restaurant can rest on its laurels, being ideally located in a tourist area right on the ski slopes, and is guaranteed customers regardless. With that volume, it doesn't matter whether each individual customer was satisfied and returns.

22/02/2026: We stayed there for several days and would like to clarify our review as follows: Pizza: Great, but some pretty wild variations. Fries? They weren't that great. Spaghetti Carbonara: Twice excellent, once so-so, as the bacon was soggy with sauce. No cream sauce – excellent, good ham, possibly a pre-made sauce – but good nonetheless. Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms – was a bit bland. Jagatee (a type of herbal tea): Better than at K-1. What was unfortunately very difficult: service and friendliness.

10/03/2026: The food was excellent, the price-performance ratio was good, and they had a great wine list. I would definitely recommend eating there.

07/03/2026: We were a little reluctant because of some negative reviews. What a pleasant surprise though! Great food, amazing wine list and top service. Highly recommend! As with all the restaurants we visited in Val Gardena last week: be prepared to pay a significant price for your food.
