We stayed there for several days and would like to clarify our review as follows: Pizza: Great, but some pretty wild variations. Fries? They weren't that great. Spaghetti Carbonara: Twice excellent, once so-so, as the bacon was soggy with sauce. No cream sauce – excellent, good ham, possibly a pre-made sauce – but good nonetheless. Tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms – was a bit bland. Jagatee (a type of herbal tea): Better than at K-1. What was unfortunately very difficult: service and friendliness.

The restaurant is conveniently located and looks nice, but unfortunately, the food isn't very good. While the selection is large, the taste is rather mediocre. I've been there twice now. I ordered Kaiserschmarrn and was totally disappointed. It was a flat, hard pancake, not fluffy at all. Anyone who's ever had a really good Kaiserschmarrn (like the kind you get in some restaurants around Kronplatz) knows what I mean. A complete waste of money. I won't be back.

An okay restaurant right next to the slopes. Free parking is a plus. The dishes themselves were average. The Kaiserchmarrn was a bit too fluffy and hard, but the sauces were good. The gulash soup was thin, lacking in filling, but well-seasoned. The lemonade tasted like Sprite. Overall, okay.

Highly recommended. Large, delicious portions: excellent pizza, chicken salad, goulash, and spaghetti. A huge Bombardino with delicious whipped cream and a warming hot wine.

24/01/2026: Hidden gem, can get busy, but pizzas are well priced and good, one of the best food places during our skiing trip. Don't expect fancy, but it's a cosy pizza spot.

23/02/2026: Bravo dining experience. You can taste the complicity of every dish by tasting the ingredients. The combination of ingredients impressed us. As a traveller, this Chef menu allows us to taste all different signature italian cusine with high quailty. I am happy that I have chosen here for dinner.
05/02/2026: It is hard to impress me as I have been to many great restaurants but this was a fantastic experience. We felt extremely and warm welcomed. The staff was naturally friendly and attentive, very professional. It seemed everyone enjoyed their job. The dishes presentation was really stunning- just look at the pictures and videos I took. The only thing to improve would be a normal pepper mill- not this press thing- the design is very nice but I personally found it a bit irritating 😜 We all had the Gherdena menu but you don’t have to all decide on the same menu on your table like in other places. I loved that!!!! Our son doesn’t like fish so they just adjusted for him. It is the best restaurant in Val Gardena for me and we will be back next year!
