26/06/2025: La Romita es un pintoresco restaurante dirigido por la familia que sirve comida tradicional toscana casera. Éramos 4 adultos que compartimos dos aperitivos que eran increíbles y disfrutamos de primer y segundo plato y luego compartimos un postre. Aunque no son baratos los precios eran comparables a otros restaurantes de calidad en los que hemos estado y la calidad de los platos era excepcional. Los propietarios hablan un poco de inglés, pero logramos entender lo que se ofrecía con la ayuda de un menú en inglés que explicaba algunos de los platos que se ofrecen. Una experiencia auténtica que disfrutaríamos felizmente de nuevo.

04/06/2025: Pasamos por este restaurante, sin saber en lo que nos estábamos metiendo. Ofrece comidas italianas caseras tradicionales, hechas por la esposa del propietario. La comida era buena. El servicio estaba bien, con una barrera del idioma. El ambiente era hogareño. Nos dieron el mandato de pedir dos cursos por persona. Y se convirtió en la cena más cara de nuestro viaje de dos semanas por el norte de Italia, una bandera roja. ¡Estaba bien! Sin embargo, como viajeros desinformados que pasan por Montisi, nos sentimos un poco sorprendidos. Si usted es consciente del presupuesto, es posible que desee probar otra cosa.

12/07/2025: A simple and welcoming atmosphere in the village of Chiusi. Generous and characteristic local dishes. All accompanied by a pleasant chat with the owner, Pino. The terrace with its shade provided by a grape arbor is very charming. Highly recommended, we'll gladly return. Thank you!

10/08/2025: Menu che non cambia mai. Solo e sempre pici, il dolce in misera porzione viene servito in una ciotolina di solito usata per gli assaggi delle confetture ,ma quello che mi ha innervosito e' stato quando al momento del conto, pur di non farmi uno sconto di 1.70 € mi hanno dato il resto a 90€ in monetineanche di 5 centesimi Il totale era 71.70 e io ho pagato con 90€. Il menù non corrisponde a quanto viene realmente offerto, alle ore 20,00 hanno già finito tutto o lo chef ha deciso di non preparare più quanto scritto nel menù!

30/07/2025: Probamos este lugar para el almuerzo y disfrutamos IT. Tuvimos maravillosas recomendaciones sobre qué probar y disfrutar de todos ellos! Comparte platos para empezar, luego pasta tradicional y estofado de jabalí para la red. Terminamos con Helado para los niños y tiramisú - postre estilo adulto. Toda la experiencia fue encantadora, muy relajada y amable. Gracias por recibirnos! Tuvimos un paseo lento y completo de vuelta a nuestro lugar de estancia 🤭🫣 Mis fotos eran inútiles, pero el sabor de estos platos sencillos eran fabulosos!

24/05/2025: Sweet, small cafe outside Siena. Happened upon it leaving the chaotic, lack of tourismo parking, Siena. Had a delicious pranzo and enjoyed conversing with the lovely lady running the ristorante.

12/07/2025: We rented the tower room, would highly recommend. It is a tower built in 800 that has been converted into a suite. It added to the experience of staying in Tuscany and allowed for amazing views from the roof top veranda. This is also located outside of town, but close enough to Sienna and other surrounding towns to give a nice balance between being close but not always in the middle of the city. Food in the restaurant was also great and the staff is very accommodating.

11/07/2025: I feel disheartened to have to give a lower review, firstly, the staff are really wonderful from check-in and reception, the lovely Marel always eager to help and make my stay welcoming and enjoyable. Sydney, Emily and Virginia ran the historical, animal and olive oil tours which were super fun! I met the owner herself, thank you Mania for transforming a family home to a wonderful space. What makes me upset is the treatment I received at the ristorante. They treated me like a second class citizen just bc I was a solo traveler. God forbid im on a self-healing journey and dont drink wine, looking for some respite on the country side - they always seated me in the back corner and wouldnt let me just choose where I wanted to sit. One evening for dinner, which I made reservations for, they sat me inside, even though there were empty available tables outside. The waitor rolled his eyes at me and with a very exasperated expression acquiesced to give me a table outside after I insisted to sit outside bc its too hot inside. Way to make someone feel like such an inconvenience, unworthy and unloved. You’d think you work hard and want to treat yourself to a vacation but people can still be mean. I actually didnt even eat lunch or dinner on my last day here to avoid the same boring and rude treatment. Why would you pay over $1000 to stay here and receive this type of treatment. I dont think it’s excusable to say you had changes in staffing/issues, allowing me to sit at any empty table is pretty basic first come first serve hospitality. Also, its the same menu for lunch and dinner. (UPDATED*) This agriturismo has a lot of potential but there is much room for improvement like. My room was above the kitchen and there was clanking of dishware well after midnight, no wifi in room but no mesh on all windows in common area they open for breeze, I was attacked by mosquitos and so uncomfortable all over my face as they got into my room from the living room. They do some events - I was lucky to attend a cool oyster and wine event when I was there. I wish they had some activity every evening - whether is movie projection on the torre, live music or band, pizza night, dancing under the stars, they had globe lights strung but never turned on. They didnt offer cooking class while I was there an no subsitute or suggestion to go to Siena town to do something. They provided me with a yoga mat and the pool is very nice.

07/09/2025: If you want a cheap and quick pizza you have to be here. The moment i used my knife it almost broke (the knife). The knife wasn't sharp and the pizza was as hard as stone... the grust was burned black. The beer I wanted to order was sold out. (The place was only one hour open !?) The place was that noisy that i couldn't talk with my wife.

07/09/2025: It's great to have a separate beer menu, but make sure you do! The tables inside have terrible chairs. The knives are so dull you can't cut your pizza. Both the ham pizza and the pasta were unimaginative and tasteless. The pizza crust was also charred. I ate at Piccolo Oasi (gluten-free) the day before, and that experience was so much better!

05/09/2025: If I hadn't driven here, I would have ordered drinks, but that's a shame. The food may look bland, but it was delicious. I still think about that peach pasta. This is a truly delicious restaurant! It looks like a family-run restaurant, and the two daughters are friendly and speak English well.
