16/08/2025: Very nice wine tasting experience. Friendly staff. A bit pricey though. I usually don't like balsamic vinegar but this one was AMAZING! I even took one home

15/08/2025: made a reservation for wine degustation and dinner for 2. arriving there we were a bit sceptical but quickly doubts went away. place looks amazing. there is very private setting among the grapevines with a beautiful sunset. before dinner the amazing host Simone took us for a drive to show us all grape sorts they produce and after that took us into very modern establishment where the story begins. he explains everything about the vibes and history and how they got names with of course degustation. also included is degustation of vinegar which is also of very high quality. the dinner itself accompanied by the wine degustation and stories from Simone is unforgettable experience that I recommend for every couple. food is delicious and in perfect harmony with vines. after the dinner Someone brought us to a lounge area for some more tasting of sparkling wines and other products. we were so satisfied that we bought good few bottles to take home as a memory and also to share it with friends and family. I would like to emphasize what a great story teller Simone is, amazing knowledge about vines, history of place and just a charm to be around. he made our experience special.

14/07/2025: A place where you truly feel at home. Maybe it's because I've been coming here all my life, for work, for lunch.... Never a bad experience. Good food, fast and courteous service.... Delicious menu, always. Very fair prices. What more could you want?...

07/07/2025: We came here for lunch because we had read good things about the place and heard that there are a lot of tourist scams in San Gimignano. It was worth making a little detour. The service was very nice, everything tasted great. We had excellent food at an affordable price. We are glad we had lunch here.

15/05/2025: I visited Agriristorante Il Pelo nell’uovo — and it was a real gastronomic fairy tale! Each dish is a work of art, prepared with soul and care. The taste is incredible, the ingredients are the freshest, the atmosphere is cozy and warm, and the service is at the highest level. You can feel the love for the work in every detail, from the interior to the serving of dishes. This is a place where you want to return again and again. Thank you very much for such an unforgettable experience!

11/05/2025: Stopped here randomly on our way between two towns. We had a nice outdoor lunch. The soup, salad and pasta were homemade and healthy.

19/08/2025: Beautiful location, friendly service, and good food. We ordered a Pienza pecorino cheese tartlet as an appetizer, pici all'aglione, tagliatelle with egg cream and truffle, a glass of Vermentino, and water. We spent a total of €75. Each dish was between €20 and €24 (including the appetizer). The prices I saw online weren't up to date. I can say that, after spending almost a week in the Val d'Orcia and trying several restaurants between Pienza and Montepulciano, the prices seemed rather high for what was offered. The food was good, but we've had much better at several other places where the same entrees cost around €12. At this restaurant, the cost is almost entirely due to the location (practically across the street from the wonderful Bagno Vignoni spring) and the table service (absolutely impeccable). The food is rather average; I expected better.

19/08/2025: Very nice place to chill and enjoy the views. Had a nice truffle pasta and a fairly decent vermentino , their house salad was not to our taste.

24/08/2025: I went in and asked if I could use the restroom, specifying that I would be drinking. The girl at the counter asked me, "What would you like?" I asked for a bottle of water. She replied that they didn't have any. I asked for a coffee and she replied, "You can only get it with table service." I then asked if I could pay for the courtesy of using the restroom, and she replied, "You can give me two euros." When I went to the cashier, the gentleman only charged me one euro, but I was shocked by his extreme rudeness.

18/08/2025: We were refused two coffees due to a bathroom emergency for our child. Unacceptable

25/07/2025: A relaxing stay near the village of San Gimignano. Our double room was in even better than shown in the hotel photos. The common areas were clean and well maintained. The restaurant and pool area offered stunning views of San Gimignano and the Tuscan hills. Breakfast was Italian-style and very good – all were fresh. The pool area was tidy, and water quality was well. Overall, a relaxing accommodation experience with truly friendly staff.

06/06/2025: Hotel in a good location with spectacular views of San Gimignano. Excellent cleanliness, abundant and varied breakfast and also good restaurant. We were welcomed warmly, including our Taffy.

13/06/2025: Writing a review of this 3-star "Hotel" is not easy. Yes, because, reading other reviews, apart from one, the others speak of a structure that absolutely did not reflect what we experienced. Arriving late in the evening, we were told that there was no garage, when at the time of booking, on the phone I had been confirmed the possibility of putting the motorcycle in the garage. GOOD, BUT LET'S GO IN ORDER. THE ROOMS: I WOULD FIRST NOTE THAT WE STAYED FOR TWO NIGHTS AND THE ROOM WAS NEITHER REDONE NOR CLEANED, AS THE RULES OF A 3-STAR HOTEL REQUIRE! WE TAKE THE ROOM CALLED "SUPERIOR" BECAUSE, ACCORDING TO THE MANAGEMENT, IT HAS THE LARGEST BATHROOM. ONCE WE HAVE TAKEN POSSESSION OF THE ROOM, WE REALIZE, WANT TO TAKE A SHOWER, AFTER HOURS AND HOURS OF MOTORCYCLE, THAT THE 3 STAR HOTEL DOES NOT OFFER A SIMPLE HAIR DRYER, WHICH I HAVE TO ASK FOR, THE SAME FATE FOR SHAMPOO OR SHOWER GEL, ONLY TWO, PROVIDED FOR TWO DAYS OF STAY, PRACTICALLY IF THE CUSTOMER DOESN'T ASK FOR IT, THEY SIMPLY DON'T BOTHER TO GIVE IT.. THE "SUPERIOR" ROOM HAS MOSQUITO NETS, BUT THEY OBVIOUSLY CANNOT ELIMINATE THE DANGER OF MOSQUITOES, SINCE I HAVE TO ELIMINATE REAL HELICOPTERS (I TOOK PHOTOS) WHICH FORTUNELY DO NOT STING BUT WHICH TO SEE, AND ABOVE ALL HEARING YOURSELF AT NIGHT IS NOT PLEASANT. THE SHOWER, VERY SMALL, BUT THE UNACCEPTABLE THING IS TO SEE PIGEON DROPPINGS ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE BATHROOM WINDOW! NEEDLESS TO SAY, WE HAVE KEPT THE BATHROOM WINDOW CLOSED AT ALL TIMES. FORGET ABOUT A MINI FRIDGE, FORGET ABOUT A CLOSET, BUT ONLY A COAT RACK ALONG THE WALL. THE BED: IF YOU LIKE THE 80'S METAL MESH BASE, THEN IT'S PERFECT, INCLUDING METALLIC NOISES AFTERWARDS. THE MATTRESS, INSUFFICIENT. BREAKFAST. IN MANY YEARS OF HONORABLE BIKERS ACTIVITY, I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH A BARRELLING AND ABOVE ALL UNACCEPTABLE BREAKFAST. SHOULD I DESCRIBE IT? IT IS ENOUGH TO SAY THAT ON THE SECOND MORNING A CUSTOMER WENT TO GET CROISSANTS AT THE BAR DEL BORGO. THE MUCH-VALUED CUISINE? NOT AVAILABLE! ON THE SECOND EVENING, WE TOLD ONE OF THE GIRLS THAT WE WOULD HAVE LIKED TO DO THE HALF-BOARD MENU, BECAUSE, AS IT WAS A PIZZA ROUND EVENING AT THEIR PLACE AND WE PREFERRED TO EAT TYPICAL CUISINE, WE DID NOT FEEL LIKE EATING PIZZA. WE WERE TOLD THAT IT WAS EASILY POSSIBLE AND THEY OFFERED US SOME TORTELLINI, RABBIT....EHM....YES...TOO BAD THAT WE RETURNED AFTER LESS THAN AN HOUR, AND AFTER ASKING ANOTHER GIRL FROM THE STAFF, WE WERE LITERALLY TOLD THAT WE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO EAT, NEITHER TORTELLINI, NOR RABBIT, NOR PIZZA! BECAUSE THE PLACE WAS BY NOW FULL. WHILE THE GIRL WAS EVEN RAISING DOUBT THAT WE HAD MADE PREVIOUS AGREEMENTS ON THE MENU, CLAIMING THAT WE HAD NOT TALKED TO HER AND THAT SHE WOULD HAVE ASKED FOR CONFIRMATION, IN THE MEANTIME SHE CONTINUED TO NOT CARE ABOUT US WHO WERE WAITING, AND CONTINUED TO PREPARE FOR THE PIZZA ROUND. WE PRACTICALLY WAITED FOR HALF AN HOUR FOR HER TO RESOLVE THE PROBLEM, AS SHE HAD SAID, FORTUNATELY THEY MANAGED TO BOOK AT A RESTAURANT NEARBY AND WE WERE ABLE TO EAT THERE, OTHERWISE WE WOULD HAVE ALSO REMAINED HUNGRY. THE NEXT DAY, WE ONLY DRINK AN ORANGE DRINK, PACKED OUR BAGS AND LEFT AWAY VERY HAPPY, TO BE ABLE TO HAVE A REAL BREAKFAST. THE ONLY THING WE LIKED? THE ATMOSPHERE, OF THE WHOLE VILLAGE. THE 3 STAR HOTEL "LA PIETRA" HAS A LONG WAY TO GO TO DEFINE ITSELF AS A 3 STAR. PS: DON'T FORGET TO ASK FOR THE WIFI PASSWORD, OTHERWISE IF YOU HOPE TO FIND THE INFORMATION IN THE ROOM LIKE ANY SELF-RESPECTING HOTEL, THEN YOU WILL HAVE A BAD SURPRISE. THERE IS NO TV, THE ONLY THING THAT IS WRITTEN ON THE SITE. THIS WAS OUR EXPERIENCE. TESTIFIED BY PHOTOS. THE PRICE IS ABSOLUTELY UNJUSTIFIED FOR WHAT THEY OFFER.

10/09/2025: The atmosphere is modern and welcoming. Unfortunately, we had to eat indoors due to the heavy rain, but we still had a great time. The owners were very kind, and the food (bruschetta with pecorino, honey, and walnuts, saffron and pecorino risotto, Livorno-style cod) and wine were delicious. We found the price more than fair. We were very satisfied.

25/08/2025: It certainly wasn't the best pici all'aglione I've ever eaten, but the atmosphere is nice, and the staff is courteous and friendly. The charcuterie and cheese platter is excellent.

19/07/2025: We were staying not far from this restaurant and really enjoyed it. Beautiful place, family-run and simple. Varied menu, typically local. Pasta and pizzas (be careful, not every day). Friendly service. Excellent dishes (superb pasta with wild boar ragu). Not bad pastries either. Very affordable prices.

05/07/2025: Anno dopo anno sempre una conferma a Bagno Vignoni. Prodotti eccellenti, sapori tradizionali di grandissimo livello e tutto condito da semplicità e un bel giardino. Insomma rapporto qualità prezzo davvero eccezionale. Purtroppo quest'anno non avevano la panzanella, ma non mancherà occasione in futuro per rimangiarla.

04/06/2025: Everything we ate was so good. We had the risotto with zucchini , the gnocchi with shrimp and the sliced beef filet. The ice cream with salt and olive oil was delicious!!! O. Top of that wonderful service we have 2 adult children with disabilities and they were so accommodating.
