13/07/2025: Unfortunately, it wasn't what I expected. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The many positive reviews are once again meaningless. It was okay, but nothing more!

03/09/2025: I honestly don't think this place is worth the hype. After reading so many good reviews we booked a lunch there. The reservation was not necessary because the place was absolutely empty. We had tartare and beetroot tartare and then pasta with truffles and pasta with yellow tomatoes (this was absolutely the worst of the dishes we ordered). Menu seemed interesting but all the dishes we had were just mediocre, nothing special, they lacked the twist, flavour, the taste was very boring. All of them required additional seasoning. So we left disappointed. I don't see how this place could get Michelin recommendation, maybe it changed a lot since then? We had plenty of better meals in Tuscany. Yet this place is more expensive than most of the places in the area. On the good note, the stuff was nice and very attentive. Overall, I think you can easly skip this place if you are in the area and look for something else.

08/09/2025: We've been here a few times over the years, but not for the last seven years because we've gone somewhere else on vacation. It's lovely to dine in the beautiful garden. The menu has changed slightly over the years, but the food is still delicious. The steak Fiorentina was perfect. Delicious dishes and wine, friendly staff, and the tiramisu was still just as we discovered it there years ago: fantastic!! Grazie!

A special location, a village on the border between Tuscany and Umbria and Lazio, and the chef was on top of his game like never before in showcasing the local ingredients. The tasting was nothing short of exceptional. Each dish had something unique to offer, even the smallest bite. I would have said it was impossible to rank in order of goodness, because the extremely high quality of the suckling pig, the sea bass, and the scampi were all on par. But alas, all the courses had to capitulate in the face of the foie gras, an absolute masterpiece, an explosion of flavors, textures, and even temperatures, sublime, enhanced by the stellar pairing of the white wine we were offered... When you leave, the only thought is what the autumn menu will be like. Many thanks to the chef, the sommelier, and the entire team, young but truly knowledgeable, unobtrusive yet always present...

15/08/2025: Nestled in the Siena countryside, in a splendid castle. The dinner was perfect, every course an explosion of flavor, with attention to every ingredient. The service was impeccable, attentive, and never intrusive. One of the best experiences I've ever had. Recommended for a treat for the heart and soul.

19/08/2025: Last night I went to dinner with my partner. The place was clean and welcoming, and the owners were even more so. To say we ate divinely seems like an understatement. From the appetizer to the coffee, including the after-dinner drink, everything was sublime. The pasta and bread were handmade!!! We'll be back again tonight!!! Highly recommended! 23/06/2025: Compliments, a super bitter and high-proof organic craft beer... then a delicious cutting board and a top pappardella with ragù... but it's not just the food, it's also the very good and attentive Lorenzo who is a truly nice and helpful person, we had a great time and ate very well, a beautiful view and attention to the customer, we came at eight and we saw each other on the terrace at sunset... :) I recommend it!

13/08/2025: In the historic center of Siena, in a building dating back to 1270, the Gallo Nero restaurant offers a particularly interesting atmosphere, featuring modern pieces elegantly combined and perfectly contrasted with the brick vaults and resin floors. The food is top-quality, perfectly cooked, with surprising twists, creating a harmony of refined and carefully balanced flavors! We enjoyed the truly excellent five-course tasting menu. The wine selection is highly refined, with a focus on local produce and small, niche producers. The dining room staff is knowledgeable and empathetic, attentive to every detail, making guests feel cared for and pampered! Highly recommended!

23/08/2025: If you're passing through Pienza, I recommend waiting in line for a few minutes and sitting down at Baccano. Excellent food, super friendly staff, excellent wine, and lots of smiles. The place is small but super cool! On my next trip to Pienza, I'll definitely stop by for a bite!
