14/11/2025: An unforgettable evening at the Argentinean Restaurant 7 Secoli Returning to 7 Secoli after years—the last time before Covid-19—was like reuniting with a dear friend. Nothing has changed: the same impeccable quality, the same authentic care, and that Argentinean atmosphere that envelops you as soon as you walk in the door. I was greeted, as always, by the courtesy of the waiters: attentive, smiling, and present without ever being intrusive. And then there was Willy, the owner: a charismatic, friendly figure, capable of making every guest feel truly welcome. Seeing him again after so long was a genuine pleasure. His passion for meat and hospitality shines through in every detail of the restaurant. I chose the lpmo a la parrolla (grilled fillet), and it was simply superb. The meat had a golden, fragrant crust, the perfect result of the Maillard reaction, while the inside maintained an extraordinary juiciness, with fibers so tender it literally melted in the mouth. The intense and clean aroma anticipated a full, elegant, and persistent flavor. A fillet that speaks of technique, raw materials, and respect for Argentine tradition. The Malbec 7 Treasures proved to be an impeccable choice: ripe black fruits, a hint of violet, a touch of sweet spice, and soft tannins that caressed the palate. The combination was perfect: a bite of fillet, a sip of wine, and you could sense that rare harmony in which the structure of the Malbec amplifies the sweetness and juiciness of the meat, while the freshness of the sip cleansed the palate and immediately invited you to try more. A dinner that was both a return to the origins and a confirmation: Willy and his staff continue to maintain the highest standards, with passion and authenticity. A place that always deserves to be remembered... and above all, to be relived!

16/12/2025: Being from South Africa and knowing sister estate Babylonstoren very well, we wanted to visit Vignamaggio in Italy. Stunning estate in the heart of Greve in Chianti. It's a beautiful space with photobook views. Had a lovely brunch and did a workshop. Nice shops too. It seems there's still quite a bit of development taking place and vegetable gardens being laid out. Can't wait to see how it unfolds.

01/12/2025: RESTAURANT: Small selection of dishes, but all unique and delicious. Very well-kept and welcoming location. Very comfortable atmosphere and excellent service.

04/11/2025: Had an excellent meal with a group. The service was superb with the manager being incredibly hospitable and welcoming. She made sure we were looked after while we were waiting for a late arrival. The food itself with superb, the arancini special antipasto and rabbit secondi were exceptional. All of the group agreed that this was the best restaurant we'd eaten at during our many visits to Certaldo.

17/10/2025: Went to the food fair last week, but preferred to have a real decent dinner - and dropped in there. Food was fine, wine list is extensive, service was nice - especially the padrone, who had time for a nice chat, recommendations - and even brought me my forgotten basecap even to the train! I definitely recommend this venue.

02/12/2025: More than 3 years later, I still dream of this place. My husband and I stumbled on this place during our honeymoon. The porchetta sandwich with truffle cream was out of this world. Super cute place, super homey. I dream of going back!

23/10/2025: Wow, what a lovely lunch in Florence. We stumbled upon this place before our visit to the Uffizi and it was perfect. The service was impeccable and the staff incredibly kind. Not to mention, most important of all, the food was to die for. We shared the Strocci with tomato & basil, and the potato ravioli with the meat sauce. Wine was lovely. Everything 10/10.

03/12/2025: We had lunch at this super cute place where the food was excellent and the woman working there was professional, friendly, and kind. We had the ragù sandwich and the Chianti pasta. Everything was really good, highly recommended.

03/10/2025: I booked an event dinner with 1 year advance notice and lots of communication as well as advance payment to have the table set with appatizers and drinks upon arrival. We ariived to have to wait for our table and then they had put our table split into two tables and in the corner not where we had discussed. Food was served so slowly and one table was finished where the second table was waiting over an hour for main dishs. The celebration I had worked do hard to plan was a disaster. DO NOT PLAN for a group and expect the plans to be honored. I will never return.

03/10/2025: We spent a perfect evening here. The food was cooked just right. We ordered the fish tartare, shrimp pasta, fish fillet with fried potatoes, and tiramisu. Everything was prepared beautifully. The restaurant is located on the rooftop (5th floor) of the hotel, offering an unobstructed view of Palazzo Vecchio in Piazza della Signoria. The atmosphere is young, lively, and trendy, with a DJ playing urban/tech music, it’s the perfect spot to watch the sunset. The service was outstanding! At the front desk, we were warmly welcomed by a very friendly lady with dark curly hair. Once upstairs, every staff member was both professional and kind. They even treated us to a few shots to celebrate our first visit to Florence. Truly an unforgettable experience! We will be back❤️

10/11/2025: We had lunch at this trattoria on Sunday, without a reservation, and they told us they'd found a table. It's a family-run restaurant where both the dining room and kitchen are staffed by young, talented people. The dishes are traditional Tuscan, delicious, and plentiful. The fresh pasta is clearly homemade. The cantuccini are fabulous! In a deserted Scarperia, and without understanding why it was listed among the most beautiful villages in Italy, eating at Il Torrione alone is worth the trip. Well done, keep up the good work!
