01/06/2026: To avoid the motorway service stations, we accidentally exited at Barberino and found this little oasis of peace.
A unique and welcoming location, with a choice of pizzeria, restaurant, and deli—the latter being my favorite.
The counter offers appetizing homemade dishes. Our lunch: 1 tagliatelle with meat sauce, Tuscan ham, 2 portions of roast beef (excellent), a mixed vegetable platter made to my liking, bread for two, 1 liter of still water, and 2 coffees (excellent).
All for 43 euros.
Special praise to the deli staff, who are very friendly, kind, smiling, and attentive to customer requests, which is no small feat!
The shop offers a wide assortment of food and non-food products.
In short, a very pleasant stop!

11/05/2026: Honestly, I expected better. The Chianina sushi wasn't anything special, but the zucchini flowers were good. The meat menu was disappointing... a mini burger, some roast beef with a burnt sauce, a mini tartare, and a few slices of carpaccio, all for €29—a bit of a steal. The steak was decent, although you can find softer cuts around. Unfortunately, these are now the norm in the city center, geared toward tourists in terms of both price and quality. It's a shame, but I don't blame them at all. Tourists pay well and don't know much about Italian food. For the prices paid around, you can find much better.

06/05/2026: Absolutely incredible in every way—the service, the attention to detail, and the love that goes into each and every dish.
We arrived before they opened, and since it was raining heavily, they let us in and let us wait inside, offering us a glass of wine to make the wait more pleasant. Wonderful service and a spectacular dinner, with attention to every detail, including the homemade sourdough bread… We didn't even have time to take all the photos! ☺️
02/05/2026: Nine of us suddenly walked in the door on Labour Day, just as they were opening. There was no hesitation in welcoming us and creating a great evening, from the moment we walked in the door we were made welcome by all the staff. We can’t recommend that you visit and enjoy the hospitality highly enough! Excellent!

22/05/2026: Absolutely exceptional. We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident and it was hands down our favorite dining experience out of our entire trip around Italy. The house wine, two pasta entrees, and an exceptional apple pie dessert were the absolutely amazing for the price. We left extremely satisfied and thinking about this place for the rest of the trip. Unfortunately, we did not get to visit the garden patio, but the inside was lovely and intimate as well.
21/05/2026: The pasta, the seafood, the wine….they were all so delicious. We went there twice and such a shame we didn’t heed the advice of our host earlier. Otherwise we probably will be going there everyday. We spent a few weeks in Italy so far, this is one of the two eating places where i literally wiped the plates clean with the bread (the other on was in Matera).
