26/06/2025: Came in 1st time at my daughter’s behest to try the paninis. Came back the next day because I loved my sandwich. The 2nd day’s offering was even better. Such fresh ingredients and very flavorful paninis. Service is excellent. Owners are very welcoming and responsive. They make you feel at home.

06/07/2025: I had an amazing meal today at Gilo. My waiter, Aden, was very attentive and kind. Started with an Aperol Spritz which was refreshing and had a hint of sweetness. I had the risotto with shrimp and it was delicious and so cheesy. 😋 Then ended my meal with a tiramisu. It was an overall 20/10. I would definitely come back and highly recommend anyone come here for a meals

26/06/2025: Un posto in cui maleducazione e ignoranza la fanno da padrone. Ho assistito a una scena deplorevole mentre aspettavo; una ragazza cinese aveva ordinato da mangiare e i dipendenti, convinti di non essere capiti, hanno cominciato a fargli le solite battute razziste sui cinesi che mangiano i cani, al ché lei ha reagito e questi due fenomeni da baraccone hanno smesso.
Complimenti a chi scegli questi incompetenti e maleducati nel 2025.
Evitatelo in tutti i modi.

09/07/2025: What a fabulous, traditional restaurant in the heart of Florence. Was recommended by a friend and it didn’t disappoint. Lovely decor, food, wine and atmosphere.
06/07/2025: The pici ragu bianco has a chewy and firm texture, and the side dish of beans stewed in tomato sauce is simple and filling, perfect for bean lovers.
We were served by a cheerful old man and a friendly young man.
It had a local flavor. I'd like to come again.

10/07/2025: The Florentine steak is delicious, juicy, and flavorful, but if you can't handle medium rare, insist on it being cooked medium. Even that comes medium rare. They recommend olive oil and black pepper on the side. You can also add salt to your liking. The standard portion size (1.3 kg) is recommended for two people. The price per kg is €45. It's best to make a reservation. I'd say the rosé and red wines are average or above.
The ambiance is okay; don't expect luxury.
Central location, attentive staff. Recommended.
