31/05/2025: A Dream Fiorentina and Impeccable Service at Ciccia e Vino in Scandicci. This restaurant is a treat, it offers an evening you don't expect just a stone's throw from the chaos of the city...or the tranquility of the campsite! From the first glance, the Fiorentina presents itself as a true work of art: a generous thickness, a perfect crust and a presentation that also pleases the eye which, as we know, wants its part! The meat is indescribably tender, juicy to the right point and with an authentic and enveloping flavor that only an excellent raw material, cooked to perfection, can give. It is, without mincing words, one of the best Florentine steaks I have ever eaten, an experience that alone is worth the entire visit. But the excellence of Ciccia e Vino does not stop there. Even the desserts deserve special praise, especially for their original combination with selected spirits. I'm still thinking about the salted caramel vodka!! This bold and refined combination elevates the dessert to a higher level, creating a surprising end to the meal. All topped off by warm, friendly, smiling and welcoming people, who make the evening even more special. The wine list is excellent, the value for money even more. And when you go to the bathroom, you will see how much attention is still possible to reserve for every need the customer may ever have! 😉 Absolutely recommended, an experience that I can't wait to repeat!

20/05/2025: LOCATION: a small but well-kept restaurant, you can feel the atmosphere of home. The wall with the wines is very elegant and suggestive. I recommend booking. MENU: what can I say, delicious! We opted for the tasting menu for 2 people which includes mixed appetizers, a second course with side dish. We had: - Tartare Lo Stecco Ducale, Fassona tartare with black cherry jam, hazelnut maiose and hazelnut granells, - Appetizers of the tasting menu which include a platter of cold cuts (raw ham, finocchiona, mortadella with truffle), cheeses with pepper jam. A platter of hot appetizers: liver crostini, meatballs, pappa al pomodoro, coccoli, fried polenta with melted cheese. -Filetto alla boscagliola (with porcini mushrooms), -Filetto alla vignaiola, with onion and raisins simmered in red wine, -tiramisu and creme brulee, and pear grappa. Delicious dinner! All the dishes made with passion, tasty and in the right quantities that at the end of the meal you wake up full. The meat tender as butter, excellent! SERVICE: professional but at the same time friendly, excellent. BILL: excellent value for money. Truly congratulations, everything perfect! I will return!

23/05/2025: Had a fantastic dinner at Ristorante Le Volte Firenze. We tried the black truffle pasta, meatballs, and the Florentine steak. Pasta was simple and incredible, the meatballs were savory and filling, and the Florentine steak was probably the best steak I've ever had! We met the owner and he explained the steak is purchased from his fathers butcher shop up the street and is dry aged. Very friendly service, easy to reach location, and delicious food. We will be back!

25/05/2025: Amazing. Tiny spot with very intimate and personal service. Instead of using the menu we ordered by showing photos of items from the web from reviews of the restaurant and they made them perfectly. The Tuna appetizer was outstanding and so was the Cappelletti. Great wine selected by our server.

14/05/2025: I absolutely wanted to try Florence's beef specialty: bistecca alla fiorentina. On the recommendation of the charming and professional waiter, I chose the Chianina beef. It was surely the best rib of beef I've ever eaten in my life. Perfect tenderness, cooking, and taste! The homemade desserts were delicious. And the little pistachio cream offered by the waiter was delicious. In short, I loved this meal. I highly recommend this restaurant.

27/05/2025: small but welcoming place kind and professional staff prices adequate to the quality if I can allow myself a small suggestion to improve your service I would advise you to change the type of napkins because they are not suitable for the food you serve and therefore you risk wasting them.

21/05/2025: Restaurant that is very reminiscent of the familiarity of the Trattoria. Land cuisine, with a menu that is not excessively varied, but more than sufficient and this in favor of quality, with traditional Tuscan dishes, such as Peposo or more refined ones such as duck breast. Excellent first courses, as well as the quality of the meat, very tender. Very good meatballs as per tradition. Excellent desserts. The house wine is also decent and this is not trivial. Just as it is not trivial to have quality bread on the table, the whole wheat one is very good. Average prices, with the certainty of eating well.

08/05/2025: Very friendly and professional service. Even though we had not made a reservation, there was a nice spot for us. The food we ordered was very well prepared. This place definitely deserves a higher rating!

03/05/2025: Tasty. The pizza and Caesar salad are fresh and fairly large portions. Friendly staff, speak English. The wait for takeaway pizza is about 15 minutes.

24/04/2025: La comida aquí es maravillosa, especialmente los pici con cacio e pepe. La fettunta (bruschetta) es excepcionalmente bueno. Es un pequeño restaurante con espacio para 18 personas pero la calidad de la comida es excelente, al igual que la cocina. Hemos estado en varios otros restaurantes de la zona, pero esto fue lo mejor que hemos estado en esta visita. Nada es barato en estos días y Florencia es tan cara como Londres, pero la calidad de la comida lo compensa. Está en una calle pequeña y encantadora cerca de la plaza del limbo y el hotel Berchielli.

22/04/2025: Italian food is at its best when there is no safety net. Simple, reliant on the quality of the ingredients. This captures that highwire act. Fettunta that is mindblowing in its simplicity - but captures the delicious subtlety of thinly-sliced tomato, basil and pepper and good olive oil. And homemade pici? The beef ragu and pecorino is excellent, the cacio e pepe is superb. An absolute find. Jawdroppingly good.

29/04/2025: What a discovery! This restaurant may be a bit remote, but it is worth every minute of driving. We started with the shrimp gyoza — absolutely fantastic — and then had a seafood pasta that was without a doubt the best dish we had in all of Tuscany. The welcome by Jho and Antonella was warm and personal; you immediately feel welcome. For us it was a twenty minute ride, but we would do it again. Highly recommended if you are looking for a culinary experience off the beaten track!

20/05/2025: My first taste of lampredotto was a pleasant experience! I tried the version with artichokes and found it good. I had it prepared to take away and the packaging was impeccable, a detail that I appreciated very much. Having never tasted lampredotto before, I lack the comparison, but I can say that it is a good sandwich and a specialty worth trying.
