27/08/2025: A small restaurant in the heart of Florence, just steps from the central Via Tornabuoni. The menu features a predominantly seafood focus, excellent and expertly prepared. In season, you can also find sea urchins used in delicious spaghetti. The wine list is extensive, and the owner is always friendly and helpful. The kitchen is open to the public. Definitely worth a try.

13/09/2025: I'm returning to this restaurant on Lungarno Torrigiani after at least 10 years since my last visit. They told me something had changed, but I was pleased to find that everything has remained the same. The menu features truly sophisticated options, mostly meat-based (they have top-quality meat), but the menu is broad and encompasses a variety of flavors. The Chianina sushi is definitely recommended. Attentive and attentive service in a truly jaw-dropping location: eating with a view of the Arnolfo Tower...priceless!

12/06/2025: This sport was recommended by our guide for our day in the Tuscany countryside. Manzo was right near our hotel, and we were looking for Florentine steak. The steak with truffles was amazing. My daughter ordered their carbonara and loved it. The restaurant is a great little setup with the cooks preparing food, which is viewable from any seat.

13/09/2025: Everything was perfect!! It's the perfect way to enjoy Italian cuisine all in one go. The seafood salad was absolutely delicious! I ordered medium-rare steak, and it was the best cooked and flavorful I've had in Europe. Highly recommended 👍

28/06/2025: We gave this place a fair try, 3 SEPARATE VISITS. We tried gelato, crepes and affogato. The affogato was way over priced given that it was less well presented than a cup of coffee and a slop of gelato, I could do better at home. The gelato is pretty good, there is better within a short distance either direction. What makes this not worth returning is the unwelcoming nature of the server. We went 3 different times and each time was worse than the last. Not worth it.

27/06/2025: Last night I went to Cantina del gelato with some friends. Excellent ice cream shop with unusual, exotic and gluten-free flavors for every need. In addition to the quality of the ice cream I must emphasize the hospitality of the employees. My friends already knew the place and had told me about the old-fashioned closed containers like wells that were definitely more HYGIENIC than the open ones and yesterday I went back to being a child for a moment (in the 80s many ice cream makers had well-shaped containers). Friends indicated how delicious the affogato coffee made with cream from my city was, next time I won't miss it. The 5 stars deserved. Something artisanal in Florence has remained. Thank you

07/09/2025: In the heart of Florence, a cozy spot where guests are treated with care. A homey atmosphere. Excellent cuisine. Friendly and helpful staff. We tried the house appetizer, two first courses, and a second course. Everything was delicious. Quiet outdoor seating.

21/08/2025: We arrived in Florence around 10:30 p.m., hungry. The lady at the hotel reception recommended this restaurant, among others. We were thankfully given some dry bread, a Caprese made with half a tomato and mozzarella, a couple of meatballs in sauce, some water, and two-eighths of a glass of wine—for just under €160. We were very disappointed that our situation was exploited in this way and would not recommend this restaurant.

18/08/2025: We had a fantastic time at Il Baretto with amazing food and great service from Katya. The restaurant was a perfect balance between fine dining and cozy neighborhood restaurant. The service was friendly and the prices affordable.

26/08/2025: 3 stars, down to 2 for value, back to 3 for the view. Welcome: I think that in a place where drinks are around €17, while you wait downstairs to go up, they should find a way to offer a welcome water, especially given the summer heat. Service: Friendly but inexperienced staff, pushing hard to clear tables. As soon as we were seated, within 2 minutes, they asked us to order. With each drink taken away, they asked if we wanted another (I'll order, don't keep offering). Then, in their haste, they bring you the carving knife, leaving the serving knife behind without taking it away. Overall, the eye and training of an experienced maître d' is lacking. Food: The first courses were good (garlic, oil, chili, shrimp, and pasta with tomato sauce), the second courses were terrible. The fillet was cooked in a sea of ​​oil, unevenly cooked, and much longer than requested. The fries were soggy and served with an unannounced beetroot ketchup, lacking both the saltiness and acidity that would have been excellent for pancakes. The fish mince was extremely salty. To finish, a lemon tiramisu. The cream was excellent, eaten alone, but the ladyfingers that accompanied it were incredibly dry, making it difficult to chew and ruining the flavor. Bill for 2 starters, 2 main courses, 3 spritzes, 3 waters, 2 coffees, and 1 tiramisu: €230, which would have been reasonable if the quality were better and the service more attentive (otherwise, the staff was friendly). In summary? Have an aperitif and enjoy the view, then go elsewhere for dinner.

06/07/2025: I had an amazing meal today at Gilo. My waiter, Aden, was very attentive and kind. Started with an Aperol Spritz which was refreshing and had a hint of sweetness. I had the risotto with shrimp and it was delicious and so cheesy. 😋 Then ended my meal with a tiramisu. It was an overall 20/10. I would definitely come back and highly recommend anyone come here for a meals

14/09/2025: This cooking class was an amazing experience, a must when visiting Florence!!! The guide was so kind, funny and really dove into the Italian culture. The pasta and unlimited wine were amazing. We even made friends from the class!

13/09/2025: This cooking class was so much fun. Rafael was super knowledgeable and a great teacher. The wine was flowing and you got to enjoy your pasta at the end as well as a tiramisu that got made right in front of you. Definitely would recommend
