02/05/2026: Our favorite restaurant in Arezzo. We’ve lived in Arezzo the last nine months and have had an opportunity to sample many restaurants, and Tortello Divino has become our go-to place. Traditional dishes with a twist. We’ve eaten dishes here that we’ve continued to talk about a day or two later - ah, my mouth is watering now thinking about the taco di manzo . A restaurant with a loving family atmosphere and a touch of sophistication. (👍amenities in the women’s restroom supporting nursing mothers, etc.)

01/06/2026: The platter of cured meats and cheeses was excellent; you could definitely taste the local ingredients. We'll definitely be back.

07/05/2026: We stopped for lunch during a motorcycle ride. My sister, a seasoned "shoe-walker," recommended it to me. She was absolutely right: excellent location, helpful and friendly staff, truly excellent dishes, and a relaxed, family atmosphere. I tried the porcini mushrooms with tagliatelle and the fried ones. Wow! I was surprised by the truly low prices compared to back home. Excellent experience.

06/05/2026: We stayed at this hotel during a group trek and had a wonderful time. The location is excellent for various excursions, the outdoor space is pleasant, the rooms are extremely clean, the food is excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive, always with a smile. The owners and staff are kind, attentive, and welcoming. We will definitely return in the fall, both to walk among the beautiful autumn colors of the woods and to enjoy the freshly picked mushrooms.

04/06/2026: This is our second time at this rest area. Antonella is always incredibly kind and helpful. The rest area is surrounded by greenery, the bathrooms are very clean, the food is excellent (it's an agri-campsite), and the visit to their brewery is very nice and interesting. Congratulations on everything! Here you'll find relaxation, tranquility, and good food. Excellent for both walking in the surrounding woods and gravel rides.

05/04/2026: For lunch, I ordered a Florentine steak, which I personally found delicious! It literally melted in my mouth, and had a delicate flavor. It was more of an experience than a meal. The vegetables and cheeses as an appetizer were also very good and had refined flavors. I highly recommend it!

17/03/2026: Excellence in every detail. Domenico was simply incredible in the dining room, knowledgeable and very attentive. The chef is a guarantee. One of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at.

04/06/2026: Bar Scarpaccia is located at the end of the Consuma Pass (coming from Florence) and overlooks the Casentino Valley. Its large counter is filled with excellent products, from cheeses and wines to homemade sauces (hare, wild boar, Tuscan crostini, and more), as well as exceptional flours and hams. They prepare delicious schiacciata with a wide selection of ingredients, as well as excellent dishes to enjoy on-site. A delicious and characteristic stop that's not to be missed, whether you're stopping by or just passing through this magnificent area.

19/05/2026: We visited Bar Scarpaccia several times during our stay, mostly for their schiacciata, which was always extremely fresh and made with high-quality local ingredients. During lunchtime they also offer primi piatti, which were quite good and very reasonably priced — a great option for a casual and satisfying meal. The bar has a very relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, and one of its most charming “regulars” is the friendly, chubby ginger cat named Garfield, who clearly enjoys the place as much as the guests do. A simple, authentic local spot that’s definitely worth stopping by when in the area.

21/09/2025: On the recommendation of friends, we went to this osteria. The dish we had to try was the Chianti risotto. Our expectations were very high, and we can say they were fully met. It's an unexpected dish (in the realm of pici and lasagna), and we'd definitely recommend it. Be warned, cinnamon is one of the ingredients. We'll be back on our next visit to Cortona.

29/05/2026: We stayed with a Smartbox for only one night, but it was a shame because the place is truly beautiful and deserves a more peaceful experience. Excellent location in the Cortona countryside, within easy reach of Montepulciano, Pienza, and Bagno Vignoni. Very helpful and always friendly staff, super! We definitely recommend it. They don't have a restaurant, but they do offer breakfast, which is highly recommended: a place surrounded by greenery and so peaceful.

08/05/2026: We just returned from a 3 week honeymoon in Italy which required a LOT of planning. I normally am not one to leave a review, but we relied so heavily on them to plan our trip so I wanted to share my experience to hopefully help someone else out. :) This was the third stop of our trip. And if I had to describe this hotel, I'd say it's like a luxury bed and breakfast in the rolling hills of Tuscany. The property is gorgeous and the staff was very accommodating. However, be aware, this hotel is not walking distance to really anything so you will either need a car or will need to hire a taxi or a driver to get anywhere. We ended up paying over $75 in 1 day just to get to and from the town of Cortona which is about a 10 min car ride away. Also, when we were there in April, I think we were 2 of maybe 6 guests on property. It felt almost eerily quiet. This is definitely not a hotel that you would come to for the fun atmosphere. Its more of a relaxing, luxury, and romantic get away. The staff does a nice job to help coordinate any plans / logistics that are needed. And I would highly recommend making plans for each day that you are there. We really enjoyed the wine tour that they coordinated for us. I do want to give a special shoutout to the food because the breakfast and dinner that we had were always fantastic! However, be mindful that that their kitchen is closed on Monday nights and so are many of the local restaurants. We found ourselves in a bit of a predicament after our wine tour, so we had to have our driver bring us to a grocery store to get some food. Overall, I would recommend this hotel. Just do your homework before hand so that your stay can be as enjoyable as possible!

13/01/2026: This place was so serene and quiet this time of year (late December). The staff was attentive and accommodating and the food... so good! Worth staying here for couples. I would say it's romantic. But, we also saw a couple of young families. You will be spoiled if you stay here. We will never get a better breakfast spread anywhere. They set the bar high!
