On the recommendation of friends, we went to this osteria. The dish we had to try was the Chianti risotto. Our expectations were very high, and we can say they were fully met. It's an unexpected dish (in the realm of pici and lasagna), and we'd definitely recommend it. Be warned, cinnamon is one of the ingredients.
We'll be back on our next visit to Cortona.

My experience at Osteria Le Rughe in Cortona was disappointing, despite the attentive and good service. The staff was friendly and prompt, ensuring our needs were met throughout the meal. However, the food fell far short of expectations. Both pasta dishes were greasy and marred by the overpowering taste of burned garlic, which made them nearly inedible. The two main courses were equally lackluster. The grilled meat was particularly disappointing—flavorless with a burnt exterior that ruined any potential enjoyment. Overall, the poor quality of the food overshadowed the positive service, and I would not recommend dining at Osteria Le Rughe.

11 of us had lunch at this great little typical restaurant. We were very well received and we had a great time. The saffron pasta is delicious! The service is lovely and we even had free coffee. I recommend it, a very good, quiet place in the small streets of Cortona.

Very romantic, intimate, and familiar atmosphere. Impeccable and courteous service. Delicious food. We had the pappa al pomodoro and Chianti risotto. Superb! Too bad they ran out of onion soup! Recommended!

On a August day, while strolling through Cortona, we had lunch at this beautiful restaurant in the center. In addition to the excellent service, the food was delicious, with excellent attention to detail. We truly had a wonderful time, and it's the perfect place to eat when exploring the city!

Esta fue nuestra segunda cena en este restaurante. Cenamos allí el año pasado mientras estábamos en Cortona. Recordé que me gustaba y que el menú era un poco diferente. Nuestra segunda vez fue tan sobresaliente como la primera. Buena carta de vinos. Precios justos. Muchas pastas caseras. No puedo hablar con las carnes ya que no las comemos. Excelente y profesional personal de camarera. El personal de camareros era joven, y sospecho que el chef puede ser joven también, ya que hay algunos giros en la cocina tradicional de la Toscana. Hubo algunos especiales, incluyendo strozzapreti,

Celebrado almuerzo de Pascua con amigos El servicio fue excepcional. Tenemos una variedad de carnes, quesos y paté para primer plato. Sobresaliente el paté fue el mejor que he tenido, un poco de dulzura hizo toda la diferencia
Main era cordero para mí. Gran sabor solo un poco frío. Mi marido tenía la pintada de Guinea, que era excelente. Camarero eligió un vino excepcional y Prosecco para completar la comida. Excelente relación calidad-precio para la comida y el vino
