10/05/2026: A fantastic, unique, and unforgettable culinary experience, combined with a warm and attentive welcome! Compliments to chef and owner Filippo Baroni and his team. The experience was further enhanced by the expert presentation of the dishes by the lovely Signora Marta Baroni and the equally lovely waiters Andrea and Giancarlo: they made us feel special. All this in a setting where even the smallest detail is carefully considered, ensuring that guests feel pampered while enjoying a relaxing, out-of-this-world view...

The food is always excellent: the pork shank with potatoes is amazing, the beer is excellent, and the appetizers and pizza are also excellent!
The owner is kind, welcoming, and always available.
For me, it's truly the best in Casentino.

07/05/2026: We stopped for lunch during a motorcycle ride. My sister, a seasoned "shoe-walker," recommended it to me.
She was absolutely right: excellent location, helpful and friendly staff, truly excellent dishes, and a relaxed, family atmosphere.
I tried the porcini mushrooms with tagliatelle and the fried ones. Wow! I was surprised by the truly low prices compared to back home.
Excellent experience.
06/05/2026: We stayed at this hotel during a group trek and had a wonderful time. The location is excellent for various excursions, the outdoor space is pleasant, the rooms are extremely clean, the food is excellent, and the service is friendly and attentive, always with a smile. The owners and staff are kind, attentive, and welcoming. We will definitely return in the fall, both to walk among the beautiful autumn colors of the woods and to enjoy the freshly picked mushrooms.

06/04/2026: Stayed on Easter Eve at the campsite in a wooden house, clean, welcoming, equipped with a stove (which was useful, since it was still cold) wool blankets, had dinner at the Baroni inn, varied menu, value for money in line with the location
06/04/2026: Restaurant review: Lunch was very good, the staff were friendly, and the view was extremely relaxing.
I recommend the Tuscan meats and the schiacciata toscana.

I Tre Baroni

15/04/2026: We spent three magical nights at I Tre Baroni, taking advantage of the three-night package that included a room with a spa, a private massage, a private excursion, and a tasting dinner at the Mater restaurant (a truly special place!).
What can I say? From the very beginning, Gessica was incredibly kind and available to answer all our questions and clarify any doubts, even before our stay, personalizing our experience.
When we arrived, we immediately felt welcomed. The room was gorgeous, very spacious, with a spectacular view of the Casentinesi Forests National Park. The room was spotless, with a hot tub and sauna.
The private excursion with Stefano was a wonderful experience: his guide was invaluable in helping us fully appreciate the wonders of the park!
The dinners at the restaurant were also highly recommended: the atmosphere is meticulously maintained and welcoming, the service impeccable, and you have the opportunity to sample the local flavors, expertly cooked and served.
We hope to return soon, and thanks again to Gessica and Messan for their hospitality and professionalism!

13/04/2026: An unacceptable experience. I was looking for the silence of
Casentino, but I found chaos. It all started with a lack of transparency: I booked a suite with a sauna, but upon check-in, they gave me a different room without telling me, hoping I wouldn't notice. Only after I protested was I granted a change; there's no point in calling it an upgrade, since the room offered lacked the booked amenities and was aesthetically inferior.
The rest was a crescendo of poor service:
- Technical: The suite shower was unusable due to lack of pressure.
- Acoustic: A sleepless night due to the roar of the whirlpool tubs below (until midnight). I didn't call again just to avoid waking my partner, who, after various mix-ups, had only managed to sleep thanks to earplugs.
- Construction site: Awake at 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, hammering on the roof and weaving between construction trucks to get to breakfast.
Work was kept quiet until arrival despite a recent reservation (24 hours in advance). The 50% discount was obtained only after a firm discussion. The initial disrespect and the construction-like environment are incompatible with a high-end hotel. Not recommended.

The pizza is delicious and made with quality ingredients. The vegan cheese version is excellent!
10/04/2026: A charming pub-like venue. The menu is well-received, offering a refined culinary experience with quality ingredients. The pizza is excellent. A wide selection of good beers is available. The service is attentive and polite, and they're always happy to offer helpful recommendations.

26/04/2026: Unfortunately, I can't give a positive review. The potato tortelli weren't good and clearly not homemade. The tagliatelle were anonymous and the price was definitely too high.
03/02/2026: Restaurant located in Moggiona, IL PAESE DEI BIGONAI, a delightful discovery, which I booked from home because I was looking for exactly that type of restaurant. The atmosphere is informal, like at home, like my grandmother's house, just how I like it, and the atmosphere would be 5 stars too—for my taste, that is.
The Michelin Guide has awarded this restaurant a Bib Gourmand as a trattoria for several years. These are quality restaurants, but more informal than the starred ones, and they stand out for their good value.
A warm welcome, and the dishes are explained with passion.
We had a wonderful time.

Like the ACQUACOTTA DI MOGGIONA (different from the Maremmana and without eggs). I highly recommend the homemade tortelli filled with the characteristic local potato.
My husband was thrilled to eat their rabbit in porchetta, just like his mother used to make.
The vegetable dishes are excellent 💚
The town of Moggiona has a very active local tourist board and offers a variety of activities.
Take a day to visit the Bigonaio Shop, the Resistance Museum, and the Wolf Museum.
All within the Casentino Forest Park.
