28/04/2025: Place chosen to reach the Castiglion Fiorentino Photo Fest. Exquisite welcome and thoughtfulness appreciated by the staff, especially at breakfast where the choice was right and tasty. The magnificent rooms, the quiet atmosphere, being in the middle of the greenery we encountered some insects in the room but it was expected and it didn't bother me. I slept great. Thanks so much!

10/05/2025: I had dinner last night. Nothing to say about the service, welcoming and pleasant place. Most of the dishes were good but I had a terrible time with the pizza. I can't give a star because it's not correct towards the entire staff but the pizzeria department was just not acceptable. To be changed or improved for sure. Not recommended for that.

01/05/2025: Pleasant place with some outdoor tables located in a small, well-kept and nice garden. Service a little slow but the waiters are very kind. The food (potato tortelli, Candolese rice, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, tagliatelle with pepper, creme caramel) It leaves something to be desired, especially in terms of flavour. The cut is fair in terms of the quality of the meat.

21/04/2025: Unfortunately we were only able to dine here twice because we had to go home in the meantime, but everything we ate was delicious and very reasonably priced. A family restaurant with very friendly service. The pizzas are great and all the fish and seafood dishes were very well prepared. The house red wine is nice. It is unlikely that we will ever be able to return, but we are very sorry.

28/05/2025: I am a gourmet of Italian ice cream 🍦 and I always try new places if I have the opportunity. So I can recommend this place, pistachio is delicious. The coffee flavor also delighted me. Dark chocolate and straciatella 😋 it's a pity I didn't have room in my stomach for more 🥲🤣 I recommend it! If I'm supposed to be here, I'll definitely visit 👍

21/04/2025: Ci siamo entrati per caso, non avevamo molte aspettative… invece esperienza indimenticabile!!! Un’esplosione di sapori sublimi!!! Soprattutto il primo di spaghetti con pomodorini e capperi!!! Strepitoso, anche la mia tartara, esaltata da salsi ì gustosissime… ci torneremo molto volentieri 🤩

04/01/2025: Sono stata con un’amica ieri sera. Era la seconda volta che andavo e sono stata benissimo, come sempre. Cibo buonissimo, personale estremamente premuroso (anche con la mia cagnolina) e prezzo proporzionato con quanto mangiato. Tornerò di sicuro.

Abbiamo pranzato con poca soddisfazione, piatti sicuramente abbondanti, ma la carne non è nulla di speciale, soprattutto i tempi di attesa lunghissimi e l'approssimazione dei camerieri hanno reso il pranzo un'esperienza da dimenticare. Troppo caro e con troppe pretese.

04/05/2025: Ero stato la prima e unica volta in questo ristorante nel 2018 e gia' allora c'erano tutti i presupposti per una crescita esponenziale. Ho organizzato la cena di compleanno per la mia fidanzata con l'idea di testare l'evoluzione della cucina e devo dire che le ns aspettative sono state pienamente ripagate. Abbiamo optato per il menu degustazione corto, il giusto compromesso per trovare un perfetto connubio tra creatività e innovazione senza uscire con la fame. Eravamo gli unici due ospiti quella sera quindi le coccole dello staff sono state a dir poco personalizzate....

04/02/2025: Mi esposa y yo comimos aquí por mi cumpleaños. Éramos las únicas dos personas en el restaurante durante las primeras dos horas de la comida un lunes por la noche en febrero. Otra pareja llegó a eso de las 9: 30 PM. Nuestra comida era fantástica. Es muy difícil crear nuevos platos que también sean realmente deliciosos, pero teníamos un menú degustación de ocho platos y siete de los platos eran completamente nuevos para mí: uno de los ocho era un poco más clásico de la toscana (hígado de cerdo asado con cebolla ... ten en cuenta que esto significa que el hígado de cerdo asado fue el más banal de los platos que comimos esa noche). Algunos de los aspectos más destacados de los deliciosos e inventivos platos fueron las uvas a la parrilla con kambucha, una natilla salada de huevo que comimos al estilo scarpetta con pan, hongos en un rico caldo de levadura, un aceite de árbol de hoja perenne utilizado para sumergir el pan (creo que podría haber estado basado en savia de abeto de bálsamo) , verdes de nabo glaseados en una potente reducción de pollo, un postre estilo natilla de queso dulce y tomates cherry dulces en un caldo de tomate transparente dulce (este era un postre) . Las porciones eran perfectas, en mi opinión. No tenía hambre cuando me fui, pero también estaba ansioso por que llegara cada curso. Tuvimos una comida realmente fantástica. La comida definitivamente no es tradicional de ninguna manera; pero si usted es un comensal muy experimentado en busca de algo nuevo y verdaderamente delicioso, entonces Octavin definitivamente debe estar en su lista de lugares para ir.

30/04/2025: The place is very well looked after. Private parking. The service was fast even though it was almost full. The staff is friendly and helpful. The menu offers a wide choice of Roman pizza and focaccia. There are also first and second meat courses.

19/03/2025: March 18, 2025 at approximately 8:45 pm. Supplì burned on the outside. Inside the rice is melted. The matriciana does not bind the bucatini at all with the seasoning which is also not recommended. The staff is always kind and the pizzas are excellent. But in the kitchen something did not work. Too bad because I was happy.
