14/05/2026: La Saletta is a coffee ☕️ and bar 🍸 in Cortona. It's location in a alleyway makes it a lovely little place to sit and have a drink. The coffee ☕️ I had was a bit average. A little bland for my taste. There was a tiny smattering of food available. Don't go there if you are after a meal.
23/04/2026: Worst pizza I've ever had. Almost 100% it was a frozen pizza. The sever was miserable and cranky. Definitely go somewhere else, there's an excellent place across the way! Order five pizza, 2 of one and 3 of the other, two come out, then another two, then ten minutes later after everyone was finished, the last one came out. TERRIBLE

28/02/2026: Welcoming place, great welcome. The pizza was terrible! Pizza like a wafer. There's no mozzarella, and you can barely see the tomato. The price isn't worth the food... Leave while you're still hungry! I don't recommend it...

Very good food, nothing to complain about. Excellent pasta and mouth-watering ragù. Homemade tiramisu. It's a shame we went in for the menu posted outside, which included a first course, second course, and side dish, water, and wine/coffee for €14. Once seated, we requested this menu and were told that coincidentally, that option wasn't available that day, but that, according to the waiter, "the prices are good." We went in expecting to spend €28 for two and left spending €76 (definitely excessive, considering my experience... for water, two first courses, a second course, and two desserts... I haven't even spent that much on fish dishes). Furthermore, we weren't given a menu; the dishes were proposed verbally without any prices. In short, I don't recommend it at all.

27/01/2026: AWFUL EXPERIENCE.
THE FOOD WAS NOTHING SPECIAL, THE SERVICE WAS AWFUL, AND THE OWNER WAS MORE RUDE THAN I'VE NEVER SEEN.
THE BILL, WHICH WAS SPLIT BETWEEN THREE, WAS ROUNDED UP INSTEAD OF DOWN.
HE ASKED FOR AN INVOICE AND WAS RESPONSIBLE THAT IT WAS NOT LIMITED TO 100 EUROS. THE PIZZA CHEF NEXT DOOR WOULD DO IT FOR 15 EUROS!
I WILL DEFINITELY NOT RETURN TO THIS OBSCENIC PLACE, AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT.
PS: AFTER THE INCIDENT, I TALKED TO SOME LOCALS, AND THEY, TOO, CONFIRMED MY THESIS.
THE OWNER WAS POLITE ENOUGH TO TELL ME WHAT TO DO, IN FRONT OF OTHER CUSTOMERS.
I SAID EVERYTHING.

26/04/2026: The waitress was extremely rude. A friend of mine was treated rudely, and a customer even spoke badly of her loudly. Given the inconvenience and unpleasantness, we decided to leave the place. Not recommended.
25/04/2026: Some staff members think they have the right to treat customers rudely just because they've been there for hours doing their job, as if it were someone else's fault. No one denies that working with the public is difficult, and having distracted customers certainly doesn't help. However, customers can also be corrected in a kind manner, without embarrassing them in front of the other bar patrons. I don't doubt that the food and drinks are good, as they looked great and all the customers seemed very satisfied, but I'd much rather be in a lower-quality bar with friendlier staff.

13/04/2026: I wanted something different, so I tried Primo's shop. All I can say is SPECTACULAR! Warm, freshly baked schiacciata with expertly cured loin (the artisanal kind that has all the pepper, salt, and herbs on the outside, for those in the know), grilled zucchini with parsley and garlic, a few mixed mushrooms, and sun-dried tomatoes in oil. CONGRATULATIONS! A rare place that captures the flavors of Arezzo.
04/04/2026: I had the worst pesto lasagna of my life: absolutely awful. I won't be going back.

Personally, if someone owns a business, they should welcome a customer both over the phone and in person.
A terrible person.
I wouldn't go even if they gave me a free lunch!

09/04/2026: Terrible.....With the place almost empty, they made us sit at a camping table (I'm not kidding) that wouldn't stay still when you cut the pizza, and calling it pizza is an understatement! In the end, I asked for a coffee with a grappa on the side....He brought it to me while holding the glass with his fingers on the rim where your mouth rests....I pointed it out to him and he just shrugged. Of course, I left it there! Truly awful.
04/04/2026: Terrible experience... we ordered pasta and an appetizer... and the pasta arrived first, which was unacceptable. The tables were constantly moving, disturbing our eating. The forks had a sour taste. The music in the restaurant isn't very catchy.

10/12/2025: It is not ideal for demanding clients, but the price-performance ratio is unique. The whole family and friends love to come back here. I highly recommend it.
14/10/2025: The structure is squalid after 2 hours waiting for the heating technician who didn't show up I packed my bags and left... dirty room, kitchen and bathroom worse, third world fixtures, staff not up to par... I wouldn't go back even for free... better to sleep on the street

09/05/2026: A terrible experience in every way. It was dinner time, around 9 PM.
Outside, a foul-smelling liquid was leaking from a manhole, right in front of the store entrance. Not to mention the bar service, on the Autogrill café side, where a single employee was supposed to be working both the sandwich counter, which was sadly empty—and woefully empty—as well as the cash register and the coffee counter. That employee withstood criticism and impatient customers with dignity, all by himself, but his managers truly deserve nothing; they don't know what it's like to work, with all the money Sarni and Autogrill earn... They should be boycotted.
26/04/2026: Breakfast at a service station: the croissant wasn't great, and the latte macchiato was good. As for the service, I think, due to the confusion, they got the cappuccino wrong (asked for decaf and made with generic coffee) and the latte macchiato wrong (asked for barley and, again, made with generic coffee). We were in a group, and the wrong one for us was fine for others.
And for those who say "things cost more at service stations," I'm attaching the receipt because this "more" is quite exaggerated. Two pastries—each €2.40, I want to point out given the great quality!—a barley latte macchiato, a cappuccino: total €10.10.
I won't say anything about the bathroom; I'll leave it to your imagination...
