The wine list was delicious, open at the time (which is not a given), and the quality/price ratio was excellent. We'll be back!

21/07/2026: Amazing little place, we had the tasting menu which was only 50 euros and it was fantastic! Great flavors and great wine pairings! Excellent service and absolutely nothing to complain about.

20/05/2026: The most fascinating and informative experience - and the pizza was truly excellent. We were enthralled listening to the delightful owner explain that this type of pizza is a specialty of beautiful Siena. Ingredients such as pecorino cheese, leeks and local cured meats/ salami. The owner is honestly the nicest man we’ve met in Siena A and best of all - he has an oven fired up, and bakes the pizza to your order. Most other shops around here sell cold pizza and heat it up, not here- it’s made to order. Delicious and fantastic attention to detail and hygiene. We thank you for this truly magical experience in Siena.

05/07/2026: Fantastic family run restaurant in the middle of lovely San Donato! The owner and his family + service are so welcoming and nice, and the food is superb! Just like a real Italian restaurant should be❤️ We have eaten here 3 times during our trip already and plan to go back several more times!

09/06/2026: By far the best seafood we ate during our stay in Italy and throughout Tuscany. Everything was incredibly fresh, perfectly prepared, and full of flavor. It's clear the cuisine is based on high-quality ingredients and attention to detail. The portions were generous, the service was friendly, and the atmosphere made you want to linger. If you're looking for truly exceptional seafood, this is definitely worth a visit. One of those restaurants that you'll remember for a long time and want to return to again and again.

14/03/2026: We stopped for pizza here given its proximity to the Mandela Forum, especially after seeing the positive reviews. We were warmly welcomed and ordered two pizzas and a covaccino with Nutella to follow. The dough was very good and easy to digest. The prices are fair, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We'll definitely revisit it if we're in the area in the future!

14/03/2026: €3+ for adding buffalo mozzarella to a pizza is a bit high, but the staff was friendly and the food was good, even though the pizza had a lot of oil.

19/04/2026: Very good and creamy gelato, with often-changing, unique and sophisticated flavors. The price is a bit high, but the quality is very good.

12/04/2026: Excellent, authentic gelato. Large portions and an eclectic variety of flavours. Also we were grateful to the kind owner who replaced our two-year old’s ice cream which he dropped while leaving the shop, saving us all from an epic meltdown!

23/06/2026: The service by all staff was excellent. The food was even better (highly recommend the house pastas- try a truffle if available or their white ragu). The atmosphere was charming. Currently it’s Michelin recommended but it deserves a star. Cannot recommend this place enough.

25/07/2026: We had an incredible dinner at Il Barretto’s tonight!!! From the moment we walked in, the hospitality of a family owned restaurant with hands-on owners struck the first impression. The food was out of this world. Fresh ingredients in the appetizer course, built high expectations for our risotto and pasta order. And those expectations were far exceeded with the actual taste and presentation of those dishes. On to the steak and the side dishes… the temperature, taste, and texture were all off the charts impressive. We have known that ingredients and tradition made Florentine and Tuscan cuisine, but this restaurant executed the dishes in a spectacular way. The husband and wife owners could not have been more friendly and accommodating!! We leave this experience not only as customers, but lifelong fans of the restaurant and the owners.

23/07/2026: Perfect food - fresh fish and vegetables as well as absolutely perfect pasta. I loved the interior - wood, wall fabric and cczy right lighting. And the service!! Attentive though and very pleasant

05/07/2026: Stopped by for an afternoon snack and to hide a bit from the heat. Got some wine and a medium-sized charcuterie plate filled with quality local Tuscan specialties. It was a lot of meat and the perfect amount for the two of us since we ended up being very hungry :). Great location near Piazza Pitti with a few tables inside and a table outside. Looks like they also have a lot of great homemade things!

04/07/2026: A truly fantastic experience! I tried the ragù sandwich and it was simply excellent: flavorful meat, perfectly cooked, and quality ingredients. But the real masterpiece is the lampredotto sandwich: nothing short of exceptional! Soft, tasty, the best I've ever had. You can sense the passion and care in the selection of ingredients and their preparation. The staff is friendly, the atmosphere is welcoming, and the quality is truly top-notch. Congratulations to the entire Alimentari del Chianti team! I will definitely be back and highly recommend it to anyone who wants to savor the true flavors of Tuscan tradition.

07/07/2026: A lovely little family-run restaurant far from the tourist traps near Pisa Tower. The owners were so nice and came up to us to tell us that food would take some more time because it was just the two of them working in the kitchen. Food was amazing, we had lots of local cuisine and the bread was a hit as well! A perfect stop to hide from the scorching sun and to have authentic Pisa food. Highly recommended!

02/06/2026: EXCELLENT! We drove from Rome to Pucci's before our stay in Lucca: exceptional products, especially the meat, but also the cheeses and cured meats. We've been back twice; we travel around Tuscany often, and this butcher shop is my top pick. Mr. Pucci was extremely kind and helpful, recommending excellent cuts for both BBQ and grilling. I highly recommend the picanha. Great prices and excellent quality.

As vegetarians and pescatarians, we were particularly curious about the menu – and were absolutely delighted. The service was exceptionally attentive, warm, and professional. You can immediately tell that a well-coordinated team works here with great passion. The cuisine also completely won us over: every dish was outstanding – whether fish, vegetables, pasta, or the desserts to finish. Everything was wonderfully balanced in flavor, freshly prepared, and expertly presented. A huge compliment to the entire team, who together create the exceptional quality of this restaurant.
