02/02/2026: After having already tried and appreciated the deliciousness of the pastries, I wanted to order a birthday cake here and was truly satisfied. 😍 The decorations were refined and meticulously detailed, exactly the style I was looking for and true to the photo shown. I can't stand it when someone promises they can make something that turns out to be completely different from what you ordered 😅, especially with unique cakes like this one. Instead, the girl who made it was truly kind, thoughtful, and attentive! Besides its impeccable aesthetics, the cake was also delicious and everyone loved it. Thank you and see you soon ✨️🥧

15/03/2026: Incredible restaurant, staff were extremely generous and accommodating and gave us an experience well above and beyond what was expected — a standard 3 courses ended up being more like 8 with celebratory desserts prepared for both occasions we were celebrating. Allow 3 hours+ (even for a simple a la carte) so as not to rush.

15/01/2026: We had an absolutely outstanding dinner at Borgo San Jacopo for my husband’s birthday back in October. The restaurant itself is both cozy and beautiful and the service was attentive without feeling like someone was hovering over you all evening. We were given the option of ordering a la carte or a choice of 3 tasting menus with the caveat that if you choose a tasting menu the whole table must choose the same one. We went with a tasting menu and really loved the number of courses that it allowed us to sample. Favorite dishes were the ricotta snack, risotto with meatballs, the lamb loin and the salted caramel peanut bonbon at the end. The mushroom ice cream that was served with the crudités was very interesting and we also loved the house made olive oil. They really made my husband’s birthday feel special and it was one of our best meals in Italy.

29/10/2025: The food was delicious, from appetizer to dessert. The service was impeccable. Giorgiana, with her smile and professionalism, was 10/10. Next time we return to Lucca, we'll definitely come back here.

26/10/2025: Beautiful restaurant in the center of Lucca But not just beautiful, like many restaurants in the center of Lucca. The food is exquisite, and the service is very attentive, as you'd expect from certain restaurants where expectations are high. Expectations were met, excellent quality food, a well-stocked and fresh menu, and an excellent wine cellar. Really attentive service, attentive and professional waiters. The price is a bit high, but justified. I'll definitely be back.

15/11/2025: I've been coming to this restaurant for years. I've never been disappointed. The new winter menu is amazing. We had the lampredotto-stuffed zonzelle as an appetizer, which I think is phenomenal, followed by the saffron risotto with osso buco reduction, which left me speechless.

06/11/2025: The only flaw is that a pizza needs improvement, it's like eating a piadina. Honestly, there are much better pizzerias in the area and the prices for a Margherita are exaggerated: €10.

16/02/2026: A fantastic stop on the way from Florence to Rome. Osteria del Gusto, in San Giovanni, has delicious food and incredibly friendly service, especially Rafi, who took excellent care of us. We went with three children, and everything was so easy. The linguine all'imperiale is spectacular, some of the best I've ever had. The spaghetti carbonara and tortellini al pesto are also very good, and the artichokes and fried fish are delicious as starters. It's right in the town center and easily accessible from the Autostrada del Sole. Excellent value for money and top-notch service. Highly recommended.

07/01/2026: Went tonight to celebrate my wife's 50th birthday... Nice, kind, and professional lady... all fish, excellent food, but also two starters that were amazing in terms of quality and quantity... all at a great price... I will definitely be back and I recommend it to all of you too...

02/01/2026: I was there on January 1st and immediately felt at home as soon as I entered... the place is simple and welcoming, the owners are kind, and the waiters are attentive and professional. The dishes are very good and carefully prepared, both fish and meat. The first courses are generous and well-seasoned, the fried fish is good, the tuna steak is excellent, and the desserts are excellent. The coffee and biscuit are original. Suitable for celiacs, all dishes can be prepared gluten-free.

01/03/2026: The dining room—and what can I say? I discovered it a few years ago and fell in love with it. Special Tuscan dishes and refined cuisine, perfectly executed down to the last detail, and the waiter's explanation of the ingredients' provenance was delightful. In my opinion, their signature dish is the fillet steak with Brunello di Montalcino, simply delicious. The only downside is the cleanliness; there's dust on the shelves that triggered allergic rhinitis. I highly recommend paying more attention to cleanliness to truly enjoy the best.

12/02/2026: A very quaint, traditional Tuscan restaurant with delicious dishes. The gnudi are simply delicious, with fresh spinach and a fabulous sauce. We'll definitely be back to try other delicacies.

28/02/2026: A fabulous experience worth repeating. We happened upon it by chance. We were welcomed with affection and extreme kindness by three ladies (one was the cook, Mary). We ordered 1 penne alla boscaiola, 1 tortello alla Mary, and 2 pork loins (soft as butter) accompanied by roast potatoes and beans all'uccelletto. To finish, a sampling of homemade cakes (chestnut and rum, pear, cinnamon and clove, orange, carrot). A half-liter bottle of house wine. LARGE PORTIONS. EVERYTHING FABULOUS. THE TOTAL COST WAS 77 euros. We will definitely be back. PS: The three ladies also run an adjoining B&B, Borgo Antica Pieve.

03/03/2026: I give 5 stars for everything. Let me start by saying that I'm absolutely thrilled by the places that have shaped and continue to shape our culinary history. Homemade food with authentic flavors, friendly, welcoming service, as if you were eating at my uncle's in Pisa. The atmosphere is small and intimate, where you can chat even with the next table. It was a real pleasure eating, and I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Stelio himself, 91 years old! Top! After eating and drinking, I recommend the house tiramisu and the Ponce! Excellent digestif!

26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places. The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think. Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities . Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

The dishes are impeccably executed, from start to finish. The desserts are a real treat. The small seating capacity and the friendly owner create a warm, relaxed, and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely worth a try.

13/03/2026: Dinner here last night with my wife and daughter. Fabulous experience from start to finish. Delicious does not do the food justice. The menu reflects food and drink the proprietor enjoys preparing and eating. You will, too. Expect some surprises and be adventurous in your choices.
