12/07/2025: While on vacation in Viareggio, we stumbled upon this restaurant; we liked the idea of family-run business. We weren't wrong; the food was excellent, and the welcome was warm (focaccia and a small panzanella). The fish was excellent, as were the meat, and the desserts too. So, the quality was excellent and the price was moderately low. Our only disappointment was that we absolutely wanted to return, but time didn't allow it. Go there too, and you won't regret it. 26/06/2025: Cozy and nice restaurant with great food! The location may not be the best but it was worth it for the good food and nice service. We tried pizza bianche, pasta barabba and mixed grill, everything was great!

13/05/2025: [Guaranteed emotion, taste, and service] I am Korean. I highly recommend Koreans who are reading this to visit this place. It is better to receive the best service here than to eat expensive and tasteless food in downtown Florence!! I visited with my 7 and 4 year old daughters. The owner of this place, Ms. Betania, was really, really kind and helpful. I ordered a basic pasta, but before that, food that I had never eaten before came out, so I asked if I had ordered it wrong, and she just said welcome and gave it to me. But it was really, really delicious. To be honest, I would have paid more if I had to, but they only charged me the price of the pasta. It was delicious and the service was good enough that I was willing to pay more. It was really nice that they really loved my daughters. I am leaving Florence today, and I will definitely come here when I visit again. I recommend Koreans to come here. Have a nice trip :)

05/07/2025: Returned a year later I confirm everything ... unique place in the area! There are also new dishes .. delicious! My advice: let the chef guide you .. he will know how to make you live a special experience! FANTASTIC, The best restaurant tried this year between Versilia and Milan. They had always spoken well of this restaurant but we had never found a place. This time we moved well in advance (mid-June to book in August). Young, polite, precise and prepared staff. Upon arrival they offer an aperitif with personalized cocktail and delicious tastings. Then the Chef comes by, unique. Never seen such service in any starred restaurant. He is friendly, easy-going and speaks with each table to choose the menu together based on the tastes of the diners. We opted for a 6-course tasting with lots of raw fish but also meat to finish (and it was worth it). What can I say, everything is exceptional. Excellent wine list without excessive markups. Focaccina, breadsticks and warm bread all to be tasted. Correct quality-price ratio. Perfect for an evening with your partner. I absolutely recommend doing a tasting and giving the chef free rein.. you won't regret it

01/07/2025: -Hic manebimus optime- Last night, on the advice of friends we tried 'la martinica' As soon as we arrived, Francesco, the chef, introduced himself by exchanging a short chat where he was able to understand our tastes and preferences. We opted for the 8-course menu and we did not regret it at all. The menu, mainly fish, left us speechless at every course, excellent quality food and raw materials worked by professionals! During dinner, the chef joined us with great interest in the progress of the evening, a very positive note as far as I'm concerned. The service was impeccable, attentive, friendly and refined. The location, very well-kept and welcoming. The dinner was accompanied by the pleasant sound of the waterfall adjacent to the restaurant. Francesco and his staff deserve the right recognition that I'm sure will come! ⭐️ I recommend it to those who, in addition to eating, want to have an experience that will carry with them for a while. The price is more than fair for the culinary qualities of the restaurant. The fish is spectacular as are the pairings that accompany it, the pastries are truly sublime but the highlight, for me, is the closing of the menu with the bison, a truly extraordinary flavor! Yes, we had a really great time here. See you soon!

18/07/2025: A must-visit restaurant if you're in Florence!!!! Very, very good. The owner, Il Cueco, is a really nice man, and he manages the quality of his dishes just like his cooking!! Simply marvelous... Take a detour, you won't be disappointed!!

16/07/2025: A real insider tip! For around €15 per person, you not only get authentic Italian food here, but also an atmosphere that immediately puts you at home. The team works extremely well together – friendly, prompt, and genuinely passionate about their service. A particularly positive aspect: their warm manner with children. My little brother was immediately greeted warmly, and we adults were also given a charming welcome – with a glass of delicious sparkling wine. I was probably guessed to be a bit younger and left empty-handed – which made me chuckle. The dishes? Simple, honest, and incredibly delicious. Fresh ingredients, homemade pasta, perfectly seasoned – typically Tuscan and prepared with love. If you want to experience Florence off the beaten track and enjoy great food, this is the place for you. Value for money: unbeatable! Grazie mille e arrivederci!

03/07/2025: We had a truly beautiful meal at BOrGO last night! Attentive and interactive service that was genuine — no saccharine shows here. The unexpected starter of ratatouille was exceptional, and that’s when I knew we were in for a real treat. House-made sourdough followed. It was also outstanding. All three of us absolutely loved our entrees (two from the menu — don’t sleep on the cappellacci with guinea fowl ragu — and one special) and our shared dessert so much that we booked a reservation for 48 hours later— our last meal before departing Florence.

05/07/2025: A very well-kept place that offers an excellent Tuscan menu: very well-executed and balanced dishes. You absolutely have to try the pappardelle with wild boar, raisins and vin santo as well as the summer wild boar with apples! The staff is kind, welcoming, smiling, attentive but discreet with customers. Well done, keep it up! Da Tronca is a pleasure for the palate and the spirit!!!

03/07/2025: Not an easy place to find, but nice, well renovated in local style. Good location also for outside seating. Young, kind, welcoming staff, but awkward with every request: the bread arrives late and on the third call, the oil too, the critical comments, unfortunately, they do not receive and do not handle them as they should. Good local red wine, decent bread. The appetizer of 5 mixed crostini is made questionable by the excessive use of thyme and other spices: only the sausage one is good, the liver one is barely enough and perhaps the onion one, the other two are rejected. The main courses (cow cheek and pappardelle with white wild boar ragù) are well cooked, but lack a well-defined flavor. The cantucci with vin santo are just passable, while the zuppa inglese is a poor imitation of its industrial version: rubbery, dry, almost devoid of alchermes. For an appetizer, a first course, a second course, two desserts, wine (half a liter), water and two coffees, the bill is 76 euros: a bit high in itself, indigestible for the quality of food and service. Regret having chosen them.

24/07/2025: We went for dinner last night, and as soon as we arrived, the atmosphere was fantastic. Everything was taken care of down to the smallest detail. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, beautifully presented and plentiful. The value for money was excellent. We'll definitely be back and I highly recommend it. 🤩☺️

21/07/2025: Con rammarico lascio 1 stella per L’agriturismo Il Melograno. Una prenotazione confermata è stata cancellata per overbooking all'arrivo in Italia, dopo un volo intercontinentale notturno. Essendo in volo, non potevo consultare comunicazioni successive. All’arrivo, ho trovato la cancellazione. Pur comprendendo le sfide delle piccole strutture, la gestione delle conferme dovrebbe essere inappuntabile: se un canale di prenotazione è attivo, ci si aspetta coerenza operativa. Ho risolto autonomamente l’imprevisto con notevole disagio. Il giudizio negativo riguarda esclusivamente la fase di prenotazione. Sarò ben lieto di modificare la recensione qualora l’esperienza diretta dimostri la bontà che altri lodano e che al momento non ho motivo di mettere in dubbio.
