My family and I had dinner at Il Barretto and found a warm and authentic atmosphere that made you feel immediately at ease, right at home. You can clearly sense the passion in the kitchen and the quality of the ingredients. We went for the Fiorentina and were more than satisfied! The meat was incredibly tender, melting in your mouth, incredible. Finally, I wanted to focus especially on the service and sincerely thank the staff for their smiles, kindness, and attentiveness. Everything was impeccable. You are professionals. We left with a wonderful feeling, that of having had an experience we absolutely want to repeat. We will be back soon, without a doubt.

01/05/2026: Wow, these burgers are fabulous!! A friend of mine recommended this recently opened place (most of the photos here are from the previous management), saying everything was delicious, but I didn't expect it to be this good. I'm used to the quality of gourmet burgers more common in various foreign countries. In Italy, the quality is often lower, as there's no strong tradition in the field. So I expected something decent but not quite as excellent, especially considering the cute, small, and informal place. Everything was super good, every bite a delight: from the texture of the bread, which is incredibly soft, to the deliciousness of the meat and the overall seasoning, you can sense the absolute quality of the ingredients. I'll also try the schiacciate, but if this is the case, they'll be amazing!!

15/04/2026: Hands down, the best meal on our trip. The Florentine steak was phenomenal. The potatoes that came with it were amazing. The staff was friendly and helpful. We sat outside in the wonderful atmosphere of Piazza Signoria. It could not have been better! I highly recommend this restaurant.

11/04/2026: We called the restaurant to arrange takeaway (tired kids and all). The staff were so thoughtful, everything was ready within 15 minutes and more importantly very tasty. The meatballs were good with great tomato sauce. Try the mushroom and tortelli in veal, cream and porcino sauce.

04/04/2026: I don’t know where to begin with Scara & Beo… Possibly one of the most memorable dinner I ever had. You enter the restaurant from a tiny, narrow street. Once inside the space expand suddenly, over a large room which carries on over the rooftops and the valley through two beautiful windows. This analogy carries on with the exquisite food, waiting to burst in your palate. Everything is thought. Every little detail. The decor, the attentive service, the food. Even the music, always tasteful and just at the perfect volume (an art form itself). Paola, behind the counter, is the real maestro, quietly orchestrating and finishing each dish with focus and passion. If you are vegetarian or vegan, this little, extraordinary place is a confirmation that being kind to animals doesn’t mean sacrificing the pleasure of eating. Can you make poetry with food? Certainly yes. Here it happens.

The food is prepared with care down to the smallest detail, allowing you to savor the flavors of everything offered. 26/12/2025: Had Diavola, it was slightly bigger than most other places. The quality of dough was superb. Restaurant was busy as eh but it came troppo veloche ie fast within quicker the one might think. Cherry on top was mascarpone Pandoro special cake made at Xmas by mumma . It was best restaurant desert I've tried since 2 months in 4 cities . Props to family run and operated venues. This place is a Neighborgood gem . Fair prices too. A lot of flair.

Great organic produce to take home - we brought pesto, organic eggs, natural wine, homemade crostata, salamis and they introduced us to the lovely ancient grain bread from their friends which we brought 3 times for our stay. Also their panini's were very delicious! Grazie mille for creating a great place with such amazing focus on high quality produce!

Quality products, all freshly made, with the option to choose the ingredients... and that's how I gave the two lovely owners the idea for this focaccia, which I created with the hope they'll add it to the menu: sweet gorgonzola (exceptional), tuna, sliced ​​red tomatoes, and salad. Delicious!

17/03/2026: A sublime experience. Fabrizio is an exceptional host and will guide you in choosing the best dish for your tastes. I would, however, suggest the risotto al salto as a first course and the baked potatoes as a side, both truly exceptional. There's not much to say about the meat, which is bordering on perfection. The price is commensurate with the quality, so it's higher than average, yet you'll leave the restaurant already wanting to return.

14/03/2026: Staff is great so is service. Food is amazing worth the visit and price. Also with a toddler for a Saturday lunch they were absolutely welcoming (not expected at all for the area!). So… bravi bravi bravi!

03/04/2026: Amazing experience. I went 7 months ago and still think of this place. Chef was super welcoming and engaging. Food was the best we had during our entire trip in Tuscany. Even the music choice was great. We made sure to come back a second time before leaving the country. Whenever someone mentions they are visiting Florence, I write the name of the restaurant down and tell them this is a must on their trip. I will continue sending Gabriele business from Canada for as long as he decides to keep cooking. Bravo and thank you!

14/02/2026: What can I say?! Everything was perfect. Chef Mancino's menu of classics is superb, with some iconic dishes like red mullet and linguine. Impeccable service. Dream location. A well-deserved two Michelin stars!
