We were enjoying the nightlife in Nardò and a local shop owner recommended Trattoria del Vizio on her street.
So we did – we sat in the lovely garden, received incredibly friendly service (multilingual upon request), and enjoyed an absolutely delicious meal.
The town has definitely geared itself towards tourists, but like this restaurant, it retains its typical Italian charm and quality.
The ambiance, the food, the location, and the staff – everything was superb. I disagree with the current 3.8-star review… And our dog was welcome in without any problems ;)

A wonderful discovery in the heart of Lecce!
Arriving at Trattoria del Vizio is an experience in itself: strolling through the historic center while admiring the splendid surrounding buildings makes the wait even more enjoyable. The entrance, featuring typical Lecce stone, adds a truly unique and evocative touch to the entire establishment.
The owners are wonderful people and extremely attentive to their customers. They offer tasty dishes prepared with great dedication; the flavors are bold and rooted in tradition (which can be unusual for those unfamiliar with them), but overall the food absolutely deserves a solid 7. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to savor the true Lecce tradition!

The best trattoria in Nardò, without a doubt. Perfect fried food, exquisite traditional appetizers. Spectacular Salento pizza, cooked to perfection, crispy dough, generous portions. Welcoming atmosphere and friendly, helpful service.

Overall, a positive experience. The outdoor seating in the back is nice even in mid-season, like autumn. One tip I can give is about the pizzas. Some of the edges were burnt and particularly hard.
Regarding the Quattro Stagioni pizza (mozzarella, ham, mushrooms, artichokes), the anchovies weren't good, as few people like them.
The fried foods and appetizers, however, were fine.

Fantastic experience!
Delicious appetizers, with quality ingredients that you can taste from the first bite! The potato croquettes prepared by Francesca are excellent, not to mention the meatballs! 🥰🥰🥰
The parmigiana and pizzas are excellent! ❤️
