12/07/2025: One word for this place - amazing! From the moment you walk in, you feel like part of the family here. The owner and his staff are extremely welcoming and keen to ensure you have a wonderful dining experience! We had the octopus, caprese salad and salmon to share as starters and all of them were amazing! For main, we had the famous Puglian spaghetti all’assasina (even better… with gluten free pasta)! As a symptomatic coeliac I felt very safe eating here and all of the staff were very knowledgeable about cross contamination! After travelling throughout Puglia, I can say that you will not find a better spaghetti all’assasina anywhere else!

10/07/2025: Tried it last night for the first time and was eager to share the positive feedback. I'm sorry to say it wasn't. Given that there were two of us and we arrived before 8 pm, there were already a few tables occupied and a few customers waiting for takeout. Our order was taken immediately (a potato croquette, a fried panzerotto, and a pizza) and drinks arrived shortly thereafter. Meanwhile, the place began to fill up and the takeout became more insistent. After about a quarter of an hour, the croquette arrived and then... nothing, for about an hour's total wait. Considering that we're not pushy people because we respect other people's work, we didn't bother asking. However, at a certain point, we saw the pizzas arriving for a couple who had arrived well after us. At that point, we asked. The young lady went to check on the situation and reported that everything (a pizza and a poor panzerotto) was undercooked... When we expressed our concern, we were told it was because we'd ordered the appetizer (a poor croquette). Then, they blamed it on the takeout... I think they'd forgotten about us. In all this, the pizza toppings were excellent, but the base was undercooked... The panzerotto, with all due respect, wasn't worth the hour-long wait. Clearly, I don't think we'll repeat the experience.

07/07/2025: Yesterday for the first time we visited this magnificent pizzeria, during the wait we promised ourselves not to return because of the long wait (even if they apologized, they were really nice) but I must say that it was worth it, such a good and light pizza never eaten, above all taken care of even in the aesthetic part! It will become our trusted pizzeria! I would have given 10 stars if it were possible

25/06/2025: …when you think of spending an evening not thinking about anything the opposite happens…you sit down read the voice covered and you realize that you are in a place where you have to pay attention to everything because from an evening with your brain off you find yourself paying attention to every step of the dishes you order…in the alley the atmosphere is delicious but the dishes and the staff give life to a food and wine journey that is nothing short of engaging…from start to finish a cuisine that enhances the typicality of the typical Apulian dishes…the linearity and the alternation of flavors make sure that each dish is a synchrony of taste…

24/06/2025: we came here for the food, it was mediocre, the melanzane was probably the best thing we had, the lamb was not good, super dry and almost tasteless. service was extremely slow, took them 25min to serve the tiny tiramisu, well understaffed, not worth it in my opinion. only good thing is the setting which is cute

09/05/2025: Great spot to enjoy family and homemade cuisine. We tried the rice with mussels and potatoes, as well as the stuffed eggplant. Everything was simple but very well done, for a fairly good value for money (26€ for water + 2 dishes with side dishes). The welcome is warm and the service fast! Thank you so much

30/06/2025: Can't really recommend the place. The panini is mediocre at best, completely lacking any type of lubrication and therefore quite dry. Also, the place serves one use cutlery and plates even if you sit down which is not environmentally friendly and as it was windy when we there, we kept having to hold on to everything as the wind almost blew everything away.

It’s exactly what happens when you enter their home: they open the doors to their home, welcome you with a smile and treat you like family. This is Calvi: warmth, passion, care. It’s one of those places where you don’t just go to eat well — even if, trust me, you eat like a god — but to live a moment. The place is elegant and welcoming, with large and comfortable spaces. But my favorite corner is near the pass, because from there I can see everything. The kitchen is completely open, a real theater where the show never stops. I could stay there for hours watching how they move, how they take care of every detail… and in fact, every now and then, my wife calls me to order! Chef Donato is young, but with an edge. He has a head, a heart and a lot of hunger (not just for cooking, but for growing): he studies, travels, puts himself to the test. He never stops. Angelica, on the other hand, is the sommelier you would always like to have at your table: brilliant, very friendly, knowledgeable. She reads inside you and can always recommend the right glass, even if you want to dare with a cocktail or a spirit. In the dining room there is also Domenica, sweet, smiling, who makes you feel immediately at ease. Their cuisine is lively, contemporary, but rooted in tradition. You can find meat, fish, vegetarian dishes, daily specials, new dishes every season... but always with a clear philosophy: seasonality, respect for the raw materials and zero waste. I have eaten some of the best dishes of my life at their place. And every time it is different, because the menu changes, the inspiration changes... but the quality never changes. And then there are the leavened products. Bread, focaccia, sandwiches, panettone, brioche: all made by them, with sourdough and selected flours. I often stop by just to get the freshly baked bread, because it is truly special. I close with desserts and ice creams… which are not just “good”. They are poetry. The ice creams are churned on the spot, the desserts are never banal. Calvi is not just any restaurant. It is a real experience, made of heart, technique, family and so much beauty. If you have the chance, go there. Let yourself be embraced.
