04/07/2025: I had the pleasure of attending a friend's birthday party Everything took place in a very welcoming room, ideal for various occasions to celebrate, but also for a romantic dinner Impeccable service, kind, polite staff We tasted excellent dishes, very creative, made of fresh ingredients including meat, fish and vegetables, even some particular mushrooms. The wines paired were perfect, The chef was excellent, Mrs. Maria, the owner of the restaurant, was very nice and professional We will return, for sure

Mariano, the host and "host" of exception, always cheerful and available, allows you to feel at ease with a simple chat and a smile. Highly recommended for those who want to escape from the formalities of routine and feel "embraced" even outside their own home.

13/06/2025: Greetings to all lovers of good food! Today I visited this picturesque restaurant with my girlfriend. It was quite late around 10 o'clock. But for the staff, it was no problem and we got an amazing table with pictures of famous Italian celebrities and in all these pictures was an unknown man. After a while, I realized that this man is the owner himself and works in his restaurant. Well, not exactly alone. His right hand man on this day was Gabrielle the amazing waiter who took care of us like he had known us all his life. We were warned at home before we left for Italy that the service here wasn't that good, but Gabriel proved us all wrong! What I experienced today must have been experienced by kings in medieval times an incredible variety of starters to go with the excellent wine and finally an amazing dessert. It was a privilege to eat here and taste a culture I had never tasted before. I wish the owner many more amazing years filled with equally great business and I wish Gabriel the best for the future! 13/07/2025: We went for dinner at Antica Trattoria Comes on a recent evening and were pleasantly surprised by how quickly it filled up right after opening at 8:30 PM—a clear sign this beloved spot lives up to its reputation . Despite the busy scene, service was great. There was just one waiter on duty, yet he remained friendly, attentive, and efficient throughout the evening—an impressive performance under pressure . To start, we had the seafood salad, simple yet expertly fresh—letting the natural flavors shine. Next up were the seafood cavatelli and seafood risotto, both bursting with authentic, briny “flavours of the sea.” They were beautifully executed and deeply satisfying. We finished with a chocolate mousse, velvety rich and decadently deep, yet never too heavy. What truly sets this place apart is its commitment to simple local dishes made with locally sourced ingredients. If you’re in Polignano a Mare and craving honest, flavorful seafood in a charming, lively trattoria, this is a must-visit.

03/07/2025: All the food we ate was absolutely delicious 😍 Pasta “al dente” with seafood was fresh and tasty. Orecchiette (the local pasta type) with octopus and tomato sauce were extremely good 👍 The waiters were very friendly and attentive. The place has indoor and outdoor tables just on the square in the center of Bari Vecchia. The only disadvantage - you have to be patient with the timing. It takes a while to get your dishes ready.

13/07/2025: A chance stop on a road trip from north to south, we spent a couple of hours in the company of the owner, who welcomed us as if we were family. The food was spectacular, plentiful, and authentic. A culinary and human experience. Highly recommended.

08/07/2025: Dinner at Manhattan is much more than just a meal: it's a journey through the authentic flavors of traditional cuisine, accompanied by a warm welcome. We started with a fragrant and well-seasoned salami pizza, then indulged in traditional Apulian dishes prepared with care and generosity. Among the evening's must-haves: buffalo mozzarella (both classic and smoked), a tender zampina accompanied by crispy potatoes, giant orecchiette pasta made the way it used to be, an irresistible-smelling focaccia made with Senatore Cappelli flour, a surprising rice dish with potatoes and mussels, and a parmigiana that tastes like home. A special thanks to Vito for his warm welcome and helpfulness: his smile and the passion he puts into his work make this place even more special. A sincere place, where quality is evident and the human warmth makes the difference. We will gladly return.

23/07/2025: A beautiful address in the heart of the old town. Hidden away among the narrow streets, this restaurant offers quality local cuisine at a good value. Tables are available inside, but mostly on the terrace in the two small alleys. It definitely has its charm, so ask for it. Very professional and fast service; you can tell it's well-oiled and efficient. The cuisine is well-done without fuss or being gastronomic; you leave satisfied and without spending an arm and a leg. Try the local antipasti (for 2 people, but good for 4). It offers 6 to 8 different products, so there's something for everyone. The wine list is 🍷 pleasant and reasonably priced (€20-25 per bottle). A nice surprise. 💓

07/06/2025: We discovered Guyot, a wine bar with a bistro, and we can say without hesitation that it was one of the most pleasant experiences of recent times. The place is refined but welcoming, with a warm atmosphere that combines the charm of a real wine bar with the care of a modern and quality bistro. Our journey began with a selection of raw meat, presented impeccably and accompanied by balanced condiments, capable of enhancing the quality of the raw material without ever covering its authentic flavors. Next, we opted for meat cooked on a cast iron plate, a real treat for those who love meat and also want to enjoy the experience of the moment: the meat arrives lightly seared and cut, ready to be cooked directly at the table, on the hot cast iron. An engaging and convivial solution, with top-quality meats, tasty and tender. We chose a wine by Elena Walch, proposed by the staff with skill and passion, the pairing was perfect. We couldn't finish without tasting the desserts, which at Guyot represent an irresistible final treat. Great classics like tiramisu or profiterole made impeccably with quality ingredients and a care in preparation that is perceived at the first taste. Tradition yes, but done with a sure hand and contemporary taste. The Guyot staff was truly friendly, attentive, knowledgeable and never intrusive. Every recommendation, from the cuisine to the wines, was precise and punctual, always with a smile and a touch of passion that makes the environment even more pleasant. Guyot is much more than a simple wine shop or a bistro. It is a place where the quality of the food, the excellence in the selection of wines and the impeccable service come together to create an experience to remember. Perfect for a dinner for two, but also for anyone who loves good wine, quality meat and the pleasure of feeling truly welcomed. Absolutely recommended. We will be back soon!

27/05/2025: We went to Guyot to try the new menus offered in three different formulas... pleasantly surprised by everything... the cuts of meat first and foremost but also all the side dishes and desserts... even the recommended wine 🔝... excellent service.

03/06/2025: We were looked after beautifully from the moment we walked in and the food was amazing! Highly recommend the insalata di polpi, fave e cicorie, mammoli, tagliata di tonno and semifreddo. The rose wine was also perfect. Wish we could have tried more, will have to go back I think! Thank you, Puglia in Bocca!

02/06/2025: Ci siamo fermati, come spesso accade, per una serata in pizzeria. Questo posto è perfetto per gustare un'ottima pizza e antipasti e dessert di qualità. Il servizio è celere, il personale è attento e disponibile, il signor Pino dirige con maestria e gentilezza. Lo consigliamo vivamente.
